We came to celebrate my birthday early and ordered Mongolian Beef, Chicken Pad Thai (my favorite), Pork Egg Rolls, Egg Drop Soup, and for my free appetizer I chose Chicken Lettuce Wraps (love these). To drink I had a Pomegranate Lemonade (non-alcoholic). The service was very good and the ambiance is casual, as it is connected to the Cerritos Mall. This is one of my favorite places to go because the food is delicious, I have never encountered an issue regarding customer service, and the Rewards program. We haven't gone to P.F. Chang's in a long time. In fact, we thought they were going out of business. We found one in Cerritos and to our surprise the food was OK definitely not as good as it used to be. However, the prices were reasonable. The egg drop soup was perfect. The hot and sour soup was good and I liked the house noodles but they were very bland they paired well with the glazed shrimp. The worst experience I have had ever at a restaurant. Their food is all premade and awful. I ordered a chicken dish that did not specify the meat was coated in flour. It was awful and I asked to have it made without the coating. I got a plate with chicken in a clear dirty dishwasher looking sauce that I would feed my dog. I had explained how I eat one meal a day and really look forward to a good meal. We went home having eaten edamame and some not so good salad for $67. The manager even agreed the food was awful. We decided to go to the bar and the bar tender doesn't have a good attitude to treat people, he is an OK bar tender, he never came to see if we needed anything else, he messed up one of my orders, He took longer to take our order and once the food came everything was dry, overcooked and it tasted burned. We ordered beef Mongolian (super dry and burnt) and Lomein noodles with chicken and also chicken was overcooked. We are definitely not coming back. Right when walking in we were greeted and sat, the staff was super friendly. We were able to enjoy a beautiful seat on the patio and the waitress was incredibly kind! She knew all the answers to my questions about the gluten-free options and was excellent about checking in on us! This restaurant use to be very good. I am not sure what the changes that have been but it is now bad. I had taken a large group 3 times now. The first time in December 2024 it was excellent. December 2025 it was good. This month horrible. The fried rice was not fried rice it was regular white rice with sauce topped on it. The veggie egg rolls were mushy like they weren't Fried all the way. It was multiple ppl that didn't enjoy their food. Then to top it off. They tried to tax the 20% gratuity. Which was insane. Wanted to try this place for a while now and here I am eating here for the first time. The soups are watery, there's not a slight thickness in them but they're quite tasty. Crab wontons are crispy on the edges but the sauce at the bottom of the wontons are too salty for me. Mongolian beef is fried beef with lots of green onions and sauce, it was pretty good. Pork ribs is tender, tasty and of a good quality of meat. We didn't like the lomein, it lacks flavor and there's no umami at all. The shrimps in the lomein are quite generous.
