I've always had a great experience here! The service is quick and attentive, and they offer tons of delicious side dishes with refills. Everything is satisfying and hits the spot. If you're craving an A+ Korean food experience, this is it! Definitely a place I'd keep coming back to.
I've come to this BCD location multiple times with my boyfriend and have had a great experience everytime. In my opinion, this place is better than the Irvine location in terms of food quality and the welcoming atmosphere. The freshness and high quality of the side dishes (especially the cucumber kimchi and potato salad) and the tofu soup (my favorite is a childhood nostalgia, the ham and sausage, and is filled to the brim with tofu) is always such a hit, especially when I'm craving something warm. My partner also has enjoyed the dolsot bibimbap, the spicy pork, and the kimchi beef soon tofu. My favorite thing to do is not eat the rice directly with the tofu soup, but have it with the hot barley tea poured into the rice stone pot (as requested). My boyfriend tried that for the first time on our most recent visit and really enjoyed it as well. Additionally, the service is great here. They fill up the side dishes frequently as requested and make sure your water and tea are topped up. In particular, I really like a worker named Julie, who is hilarious and also makes sure to thoroughly top up whatever side dishes my partner and I request. I hope to continue being a patron of this location and highly recommend visiting!
Went on a Friday night and it was fairly busy, but the wait wasn't too bad though for a party of 3 (~ 13 minutes). I ordered the raw marinated crab combo and it was the perfect amount of food. It comes with a small version of their tofu stew and rice. The raw marinated crab was SO good too, good level of spice and very flavorful. They do not skimp out on the marinade either! Their banchan is also yummy, and I love that they provide a fried fish! You don't normally see that at other Korean restaurants and it's so yummy. The servers are also very kind and attentive. You just can't go wrong at BCD!
Went out for a dinner of 4 on a Saturday night. The line was long but the turnover is quite fast so we got seated not long after we joined the wait-list. We all order different things off the combo list, which came with a soft tofu soup each. We were also served a fried small mackerel as an appetizer. The fish was a little bony as mackerel tends to be, especially when you're frying the whole fish, but the taste was great. The rice served in the hot stone was fluffy and of the perfect consistency. I already had one small mackerel as an appetizer so I wish I would have chosen a different entree rather than a larger mackerel, but it was still good. I really enjoyed my tofu soup. It even came with a raw egg to crack inside so that this soup could cook it. This hot stone keeps it blazing hot the whole time you're sitting there. And the banchan was definitely flowing. They refilled it multiple times so we definitely felt like we got our fill of kimchi, potato salad, cucumbers, and other pickled veggies. There are a lot of vegetable and vegan options here so it's great if you have some of those in your crowd. Not the fanciest place, but we were well fed and the quality of everything was nice. A solid choice if you're in the area and craving Korean tofu.
Had a nice dinner with a few friends on a Friday night! The wait wasn't too ling, about 20 minutes with aot of people waiting outside. Ordered combos of Spicy Bulgogi, Crsb, and the Galbi. Each combo comes with a decent tofu soup serving that's more than enough, unless you want just the single large bowl. The servers and host were quick and professional, everything came in and out fast. This place is awesome. I've eaten here before, it's been a long time. Out of k the amazing restaurants on this street, this one of the best outings I've had. Great experience, decent price, well worth it.
Come here a lot with colleagues and friends and it never disappoints! Service is super fast and friendly, food comes out super hot, and the ambiance is casual, bustling, with reasonable levels of noise. Great for lunch!
Not sure when this started, but this is the first time I've seen a banchan cart going around at BCD! Someone goes around pushing a cart of banchan containers on ice asking if you want refills of kimchi, cucumber kimchi, fish cake, bean sprouts, potato salad, and preserved squid. It's great! The kimchi was a little inconsistent during this particular visit (e.g. the first batch was very bland, but the second batch was super salty), but the other side dishes made up for it. They still have some of the best fish cake around! Their fried fish appetizer is always good, and I look forward to it whenever I come to BCD. The Dumpling Soon Tofu is always my go-to. They give several smaller dumplings in the soup rather than a few large ones, which I prefer! The soon tofu always comes out piping hot and delicious. The menu says that you get an egg by request only, but our server made it seem like it's always included. Either way, ask for one just in case because the egg make the soon tofu even better! Their Seafood Pancake is also good, nice and crispy! I like it has a decent amount of seafood, including shrimp, squid, and mussels (which I haven't seen in other restaurants' seafood pancakes!). I also appreciate that they give each person their own dish of sauce, so you can feel free to double dip to your heart's content!

I came here around 7 pm on a Saturday and we only had to wait five minutes. Thankfully they have some benches inside so I didn't have to wait outside. They even apologized for the wait which was kind. The menu is pretty straightforward which you also use as a placemat. I ordered the bulgogi and soup and it came with a bunch of side dishes like fish and kimchi. Honestly eating all the side dishes made me almost full and made the price of the meal completely worth it. The soup and bulgogi were really good and their tofu really is that soft! I took some boxes to go since I couldn't finish it all and it made a nice meal for the next day. The service was really good as well and our server was very attentive and helpful. We parked pretty far into the parking lot since it was pretty crowded
BCD Tofu House is hands down one of the best spots for Korean comfort food. Their soon tofu is incredible--rich, flavorful, and always served piping hot in the stone bowl. Every bite is packed with deep flavor, and you can really tell the quality is top-notch. The banchan (side dishes) are always fresh and delicious, and they bring out so many that you feel taken care of from the moment you sit down. Whether you go with beef, seafood, pork, or combo tofu, you really can't go wrong here. Service is fast and attentive, the restaurant is clean, and the atmosphere is welcoming. This is the kind of place you come back to again and again when you're craving real Korean comfort food. Highly recommend--BCD never misses.
Seriously can't go wrong with BCD Tofu House. It's consistent, delicious, and always good, any time of the day. Service is usually pretty good. Expect it to be a bit slower when they're busy, but from my many experiences here, they're usually pretty good regardless of how busy it is. Expect it to be a loud environment. Plenty of seats but when it's busy (read: weekends and nights) expect it to be a bit packed. They usually play kpop on the speakers, ranging in generations, which is great. Parking can be tough - it's shared with the plaza with plenty of other businesses and restaurants, but even if you're parking "far" it's still not that far of a walk. Overall, 10/10, would keep coming back again.
Had a great experience at BCD Artesia! The service was excellent from start to finish. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and made sure our table had everything we needed throughout the meal. A special shoutout to Katherine, who was especially kind and helpful during our visit. She was very attentive to our needs which made my experience more enjoyable. The food was also delicious. Everything came out hot, fresh, and full of flavor. My fav is the Assorted Soon Tofu, it comes with beef, shrimp and clam. So good! Between the great food and the outstanding customer service, it was an all-around wonderful dining experience. I look forward to coming back again soon.
The BEST tag team staff & management. Everyone seems to have their job, yet all can also help you with whatever you need. BEST PART... EVERYONE is pleasant, friendly & well trained. You ask for more banchan, they got you. Hot tea in your rice, they got you. Need a scissors to cut the pancake. They got you. Need a to go box. They bring one immediately! Ready for the check, you don't even have to ask... it's here. The combos come with an amazing amount of food. Sure, the tofu pot is A LITTLE smaller, but only by 2-3 bites and you get to pick a meat or vegetable side big enough to share! One server even comes over to double check you got everything you ordered! Impressive. There is a management staff looking over everything and making sure everything is running smoothly. Nice touch. All the food was delicious and plentiful. The hot pot rice was delicious and the best Kim chi. You could tell the food was made with the freshest ingredients. My first time at BCD, isn't that wild? That's been all my reactions from my friends and I do say it does live up to the hype. We waited a bit to get seated as it was crowded on a Sunday night. They served up their normal bites before, kimchi, fish etc. I got their combo with bulgogi and tofu soup. Bulgogi came with a lot of onion and was pretty average. Tasted well with the soup and rice. Soup was also good. Nothing bad to say about this spot and if I'm in the mood for some good soup and Korean food, I would come back here in a heartbeat. Parking here is tough because it's a busy parking lot. read more
Korean tofu soup and hot plate BBQ place. Had been here before. We came at lunch time on a Sunday and half of the spacious dining room was already filled. We ordered the BBQ beef ribs, two tofu soups, and a vegetarian bibimbap. The dishes were served promptly. The servers are very attentive and kept our side dishes refilled without us asking. The dishes are flavorful and they claim to use organic tofu. The tables could be combined to accommodate bigger group which is nice. read more

BCD Tofu House is located in Artesia and it's one of my favorite spots for Korean food and it's open till 2am. I love to get their combo plates, which comes with an entree, spicy tofu soup, rice, and unlimited side dishes (banchan). Usually I'll get a bibimbap in hot stone pot, which gives you crispy rice with meat and veggies. When you mix it together, you get a fresh rice dish that's one of my all-time favorites. Let the rice sit in the sizzling hot pot for a few minutes, so you get a bunch of crispy bits. Their tofu soup is extremely comforting and it's their signature item. I like to get it either "medium spicy" or "spicy" as it's perfect on a cold day. It's the type of comforting dish that warms you from the inside out. Their galbi is also a favorite of ours as it's perfectly marinated and consistently delicious. I typically have to pay $50 if I get it at a korean BBQ spot, but I love the reasonable portion in their $33 dinner combo (that includes the soup, rice, and all the sides). read more

I'd been hesitant to come back to this specific BCD Tofu after my poor experience a few years ago. However, this recent visit was the complete opposite. The tofu soup was much better this time around. It was definitely more flavorful and spicier, and it also seemed better prepared overall. Instead of just seeing the water and gochugaru separate, it was well-made and well-mixed. Everything came out hot, and the overall experience was a lot better. read more
This was my first time here. Came to have brunch with a couple of friends. I ordered some beef dumplings and my friends ordered ribs plus teriyaki chicken entrees. For the price, it's so worth it. You get unlimited side dishes. My friend devoured a bunch of fish cakes which made her full before her meal came out. Then tofu soup and entrees were served hot in stone bowls. I was more into the ribs and teriyaki chicken with side of rice. Super yummy! So much food all together. My beef dumplings didn't come out the way I expected, but for the price it wasn't as bad. Service is quick and they will get you anything upon request. If you love Korean cuisine this the perfect spot. You'll be surprised how much food is offered for a good value. read more
Among all the soondubu restaurants in the OC area, it's no surprise that this place is always busy. At many restaurants, even asking for an extra side dish or a refill of water can feel like a burden, and some servers seem to care more about tips than service. That is absolutely not the case here. The servers constantly walk around checking on tables, offering refills of side dishes, and making sure water glasses are never empty -- without being asked. Their attentiveness and sincerity truly stand out. Of course, the food is delicious and the prices are reasonable, but what really keeps me coming back is the excellent service. The staff's work ethic and genuine care for customers make this restaurant special. Highly recommended, and sincere compliments to the entire team. read more

We have visited this restaurant many times, and it has become one of our go-to places after work. The service is always excellent, and our server is very attentive. She consistently refills our banchan before our main dishes even arrive, which we truly appreciate. Their original soup, medium spicy, is my usual order and always satisfying. My partner and I usually rotate between the galbi, spicy pork, and bulgogi combo, and each dish has been consistently delicious. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for great food and attentive service. P.S. I also have a photo of my mom finally being able to use her chopsticks! read more
BCD Tofu House is my go-to spot whenever I'm craving that cozy, flavorful Korean tofu soup. Every time I visit, I either go for the spicy beef version or the seafood option. (spicy!) It's wonderful because it comes with a generous variety of side dishes, which I really enjoy! The service and the food are consistently incredible, and I've never had any issues. BCD Tofu House is a casual spot with good tofu soup and banchan. I have visited other locations, but this is my first time at this location. Came here on a Sunday evening for dinner. It was not too crowded when we arrived but there was a long wait when we left. Upon being seated, we were asked if we want hot tea or iced water and we both got hot tea. I ordered the Dumpling Tofu Soup with Mild spice. Every order comes with banchan such as kimchi, cucumber, fish cake, and a fried fish. It also comes with a bowl of rice that the servers scoop out for you and a raw egg to crack into the tofu soup. Our food came out quickly and was bubbling. We cracked our eggs into our soups and let them cook. My soup had five dumplings that reminded me of the mini Bibigo wontons that can be purchased from Costco. I don't remember these were always used for the tofu soup. The soup was kind of bland, but not sure if that's because I chose Mild spice. There was plenty of tofu. Our sides got refilled during our meal which was nice. Overall, giving BCD Tofu House a 4/5. Service was good and staff are friendly. Food is solid and it has a casual ambiance that is good for hanging out. Would recommend to others and would return. read more
We were craving some late night soup and ended up here at BCD. We opted for their cheaper tofu soup option. i got the dumpling and sami got the beef and kimchi. both were very good, but id recommend getting a higher spice level. i got mild and could barely taste the heat. the waiters were very efficient and even served us our rice once it cooled down. the restaurant definitely had a late night vibe since coming here last time. read more
Late night eats type of girl = me. BCD can never do me wrong. I always go with the galbi combo with either dumpling or seafood tofu soup. Sometimes, I add on the seafood pancake when I'm feeling extra hungry. The sides are so yummy and the plus is that they are refillable too! Cucumbers, fish cakes, and kimchi are my favorites! Service is great for the most part-- although there are times when I have to chase down the waiters to ask for refills on sides. Ambiance is also nice as they have a pretty modern aesthetic. Overall, really recommend coming here if you haven't tried yet! read more

A group of about 30 of us stopped by for dinner. There would have been no way for them to combine tables easily and safely, so we divvied up to about 6 groups for smaller tables and booths. For a Sunday evening, that's no small feat but luckily everyone was seated in no time thanks to the front staff and a little planning on our part. Parking was a bit difficult in this incredibly stacked plaza. I've gone to the Rowland Heights one a number of times over the years, so it was a welcomed return to my palate. Even though I've had Korean soup elsewhere, the nostalgia factor of BCD seeps in. Everyone at our table ordered a soon tofu and within 10 minutes everything was served. Someone also ordered a stone pot bibimbap which took a bit longer, so keep that in mind. Banchan tasted great especially the kimchi and grilled fish. The waitstaff were constantly running around with people flagging them down. I decided to get the S8 Ham and Sausage, where in the past I'd just get Combination. It's definitely a meatier flavor for the soup which pairs well with the luscious scoops of tofu. read more
My favorite BCD location in OC! Whenever I'm craving gopchang (beef intestine) soon tofu soup, this is my go-to spot and I love the side dishes here. The fish cake, cucumber kimchi, and seasoned squid banchan are always fresh and flavorful. The place is clean, spacious, and the staff is super friendly. Special shoutout to Kelly 이모! She was so nice and took the time to explain the menu and combos to us. We really enjoyed our lunch! We ordered one Spicy Raw Crab Combo and one regular. The spicy crab was fresh, perfectly seasoned with just the right amount of sauce, and paired perfectly with fluffy rice. I always choose spicy crab over galbi! For the finale, try the nurungji with seasoned squid! This location is inside a plaza with plenty of parking. I went on a weekday, so I'm not sure how busy it gets on weekends, but there were tons of parking during the week. Highly recommend! read more

BCD Tofu House This is a review for my dinner dining experience at BCD Tofu House. Food: 4.5/5 Service 2/5 LOCATION: It is located in a small plaza on South Street. Parking can be difficult because there are so many shops in the area. FOOD: The food was delicious! Every plate we ordered was seasoned well and tasted excellent. There are different types of dishes. With the Entree Combo it comes with your own: -Fried Mackerel -Hot Stone Rice -Soup selection: I recommend the seafood tofu soup -Side Dishes: kimchi, fish cake, bean sprouts, mashed potatoes, cucumbers, stir fried small anchovies (all to share for the table). For the entree combos we ordered beef bulgogi, bibimbap, and chicken teriyaki -All were tasty,especially the chicken teriyaki! ---- SIDES: Seafood pancake Fried garlic tofu SERVICE: Unfortunately the service didn't do it for me. We were a party of 4 and we each ordered an entree combo. Therefore, we were supposed to get 4 hot stone rice pots. We only received 1. Our entrees also came at different times. The bibimbap was first, then we waited 20 minutes for the beef bulgogi, then an additional 20 minutes for the chicken teriyaki. It's frustrating because you would expect all of the hot entrees to be served at the same time and not staggered. To be polite, one party member tried waiting for the rest of the entrees to come to the table so we can all dine together but this wasn't the case. We had to wait an additional half an hour for the chicken teriyaki to be delivered to the table while the other entrees were already served. Unfortunately some of us ended up getting full waiting and snacking on the appetizers and side dishes and didn't get to fully enjoy our entrees. Another huge dealbreaker for our group was the fact that we had to ask three different servers for water refills. The first two people looked at us blankly and kept walking by. It wasn't until I literally stopped a person bussing a table when we finally got our glasses refilled with water. Wow. It was shocking. No server came to check on us, no one came to see if our food was alright. In fact, WE were the ones who had to remind them that our banchan needed to be refilled and that we were STILL missing our entrees and needed water refills. ****FRIENDLY SUGGESTIONS: -Have a pitcher of water and cups at the table before seating a party -Have designated staff to fill the side dishes for every table -Have a strong expo "expeditor" in the kitchen to help manage the timing of delivering items to the table ***I would eat at BCD Tofu House again, but I would dine in during lunch or at a time when it's not busy. Again, I want to state that the food is delicious. They have high quality dishes with great flavor, but the service needs work. read more

They serve excellent Korean cuisine and stay open late. The place is usually busy, but the wait isn't long. The atmosphere is casual and lively. I recommend :) read more

Caterpillar in our kimchi. We showed it to the waitress and she immediately throws it away, comes back and says "it's the root, it's the root of the vegetable" like we're stupid. Ruined the rest of the meal for our group. Not to mention, water was dripping from the ceiling earlier and we had to get moved. Really disappointing experience & lack of accountability. Won't be back. Wish I got a refund for having a dead caterpillar in my food instead of leaving a review but oh well. And wouldn't have left this review if they admitted to it & apologized... instead of lying to our face. Do vegetables have legs now? My only regret is not raising an issue and escalating even further in the moment. We still paid and left a tip despite this, simply because I've worked at a restaurant before and know these things happen. I didn't want the service workers to not get paid for something out of their control. But this should tell you about the quality here. Also see a review 10 days ago about a dead fly in the food. Hi Abi, Unfortuantely we no longer have hot stone bulgogi on our menu at any of our locations.
Is there a private area to seat about 25 people to celebrate 100th day?
I don't believe so after going there for years.
Does this establishment have gift cards or certificates?
