Never dined in or ordered at the register so I can't comment on the service itself. The place is clean and well kept. We always order online for pickup and every time we do, our food is hot, fresh and delicious. My oldest son usually gravitates toward Sarku when we're in the mood for takeout and he's been satisfied every time. I'm not a stickler for service if I'm picking up as long as no one is rude so I appreciate the guys behind the counter for each of my pickups. Really good option for when you want something fast but aren't feeling the usual burger and fries options around the area. The teriyaki bento is our favorite, as it comes with fried dumplings, 4 pieces of California roll, a side salad and your choice of noodles or rice with your choice of protein. We usually order 4 bentos - one for myself and my youngest normally picks off my plate, one for my husband, one for our oldest and one for our middle two to share. We've had plenty of leftovers and they reheat well. All the protein options (chicken, shrimp, beef) are great, you cannot go wrong with any although the chicken is my favorite. White rice goes with the meal best, as we've tried the fried rice and noodles too. Fried rice is great and my middles love it but I think the white rice takes the cake in this. This place is the absolute worst shithole of all Sarkus. I've been to other Sarkus and none of them are as bad as this one in Teterboro. They cheat you on everything from the food to the sauces. We ordered fried rice and paid extra for the bento box. They gave us white rice instead when we paid extra for the fried rice I had to bring the entree back and show them the tray and the receipt and the dumb ass looks at me like I was lying while I showed him both the bento tray and the receipt. Then he has the nerve to question me about the other bento box and asked me to bring it back and prove to him I wasn't lying. Like I was the one trying to cheat him! Omg! And even worse every time I go there (I keep saying I won't go back but my son wants to go there:( They rip you off by not giving any sauces with the sushi, dumplings and spring rolls. They act like the sauces don't come with the food yet they have a shit load of sauces sitting in their counter in the back. What do they do with those if they don't give it to you when you're dining in? I'm positive they don't even pack these sauces for take out delivery never kind not giving any utensils. Then you ask for the sauces and they give one measly sauce pack when there are 3 food trays of sushi and dumplings sitting there for you to pick up. My first time even hearing of this place. Pretty sure it's a chain, fast casual I guess is what it would be called. It's located in a outdoor strip mall so parking is plentiful but it does get crowded during lunch time. Enter and exit doors are separate though you can still use both but the entrance door flows into a walkway leading up the counter. The menu is posted above the counter and there is a screen that tells you your order as you are placing to the server. They have bento boxes which salad, dumplings and a few pieces of a California roll. You can also get noodles or fried rice instead of white for a small up charge. They also have rice bowls but I haven't tried that yet. The meats are chicken, beef or shrimp. The bento box is pretty filling. Drinks are fountain soda or they have cans of soda as well as Snapple and bottled water. Good place for lunch. read more

l will be as direct as possible without any exaggeration, I've been to the Teterboro Landing location a few times. I don't expect a lot from these types of quick eateries. My visit yesterday afternoon was the absolute worst, l'm standing at the counter waiting for my order to be made but the cashier is just standing there. Literally looking over me so I greeted him to get his attention, he literally turn his back to me. I demanded his attention so I raised my voice and said can I get some service ? You can't make this stuff up- he points up at the menu and says what number. I have to share this experience as I was stunned, l selected a meal to dine in for the cost of 13 dollars. I was given the meal without it being placed on a serving tray five miniature size shrimp and a very small amount of chicken protein on top of what is supposed to have been Soba noodle. I refused to take the meal and demanded a refund, and he seemed to be more than willing to refund me and did so expeditiously - indicative of me not being welcomed and or wanted at this location. I will say it plainly this clearly prejudice behavior being displayed by the working staff i.e. the cashier and the cooking crew. I was walking around the Teterboro Landing shopping center after Checking out the big Chick-Fil-A there and saw this Sarku place I never heard of so I give them a try. The place is big and clean and they took my order fast and gave me a buzzer to know when it's ready which took less than I can take a Yelp photo. I ordered Beef Teriyaki and Shrimp Tempura to go. The Shrimp Tempura basically had no taste til you get to the shrimp and the sauce swipes they put on it did nothing to add to it as a complementary or enhancing the flavor. The Beef Teriyaki comes with plan white rice and a mix garden salad. The rice lacks salt at least. The thin beef had some flavoring that was OK and and with the teriyaki sauce helps makes the rice editable. the salad greens had that taste you get when greens have been left out to in room temperature to long. . Classic Japanese chain that taste the same in every location. However, the smell of this location is too unbearable I don't know how anybody eats there. It is a sort of plumbing smell but it fills the whole place. My friend referred to it as a dead animal smell. I loved the food and I loved the bento box. So much more affordable than other locations I've visited. The food had much more flavor than other location and they were very friendly. I still can't get over their bento box! I love that they had a decent selection of sushi. Although, we ordered the chicken teriyaki sushi, it was a bit on the small side, pretty disappointing. Keep in mind though, the more "upgrades" you get (i.e. double, substitutions) it can get pricey but again, its worth it for the quality and taste of the food. I loved that they gave you a buzzer to let you know when you're food was ready. The service was pretty quick and they had good amount of seating. Since they're in a shopping plaza, parking wasn't had. Bento box was totally worth it. We substituted the rice for noodles for only $0.50 and again, SO worth it. Their noodles definitely had more flavor than other locations whose noodles only tasted like it was drenched in oil.
