Chicken Teriyaki with rice, no veggies.

Holy cow. I am in love with this place. It's about 30 minutes from me, so we seldomly go for our teriyaki kick even though we have the mall one but that place doesn't give as much as this place. So worth the price. I order online which is so simple and by the time I get there it's ready for pick up. They have a large parking area so we eat in the car. Their food is always fresh and not greasy. The location is clean and fresh. Their poke bowl is generous and salmon is fresh. Thank you for cooking the goodness :)

New teriyaki place opened up nearby, so college me was very happy haha. Food: your standard chicken teriyaki, but I was surprised that it didn't taste as sweet as I expected l, which is a nice thing. Service: the workers were very nice, but it was super quiet when I went. Ambiance: very very clean, nice flow for a place like this. A lot of seating.

This is a new location in a strip mall of many different foods places. I was picking up lunch for my family and decided to give them a try. The establishment is clean and bright. Plenty of seating even for a small place. Staff was friendly and helpful. I was so happy to see poke bowls offered. It was a simple but varied menu options. I chose salmon and extra seaweed salad and the classic sauce. The bowl was hearty and filled with rice, greens, carrot, avocado, and seaweed salad as well as fresh sushi grade salmon. The classic sauce was a balanced sweet and kick of spice. Pricing was a little better than other poke bowls I've had recently. I felt I got my moneys worth however. I look forward to trying other options in their menu. And bonus they offer a loyalty program that gives you a free chicken teriyaki after 6 purchases. Parking is also plentiful as this is a strip mall.

Yum! I was in the area for an event and stumbled across this gem! I ordered teriyaki chicken, white rice, cabbage, and a small order of fried wontons. It was VERY GOOD! The sauce they give with the wontons should be bottled up and sold. The portions are generous and the prices are fair. The place is new so everything inside was in top-notch condition. There are plenty of tables should you decide to dine inside. The staff were all friendly and very welcoming when I walked in. They had Beyoncé playing overhead so I felt at home, LOL! They're located in a shopping plaza so there's plenty of parking available!

I ordered the beef bento box and got it delivered via Grubhub. This is the perfect serving for $13! Everything was packaged well and was still super hot when it arrived. It came with packets of duck sauce and soy sauce. My only gripe was that the dumplings/goyza were a little salty for my taste. I'll definitely recommend this place and order from here again!

Located in the Rutherford Commons off of Route 17 North in East Rutherford, I discovered this establishment while visiting a nearby restaurant. Teriyaki One is a "new and hot restaurant that opened about a month ago if you want something simple and quick to eat for lunch. Upon entering this clean place with the blaring music, it's very similar to Sarku Japan in terms of food selection and preparation, except they also have a poke bowl. My order was the chicken bento box served with chicken teriyaki over white rice, garden salad, 3 pieces of fried meat dumplings, and 2 pieces of fried veggie spring rolls. The food was filling, as the portion sizes were more than generous, delicious, and fresh. However, the dressing on the salad was a bit bland and watery and could have used a bit more ginger dressing. It's so affordable and doesn't hurt one's wallet. The service was prompt, and the employees were friendly and welcoming, so I can recommend it.

Great place for a quick lunch. Delicious teriyaki chicken, the quality of the food is consistent, the potions are generous and service is friendly.

Really good poke bowls with good portions. Reasonably priced compared to other places. Clean inside with space to eat.

I ordered the Unagi Don Gozen ($42)- it came with a whole tray of different delicious items, with the star of the show being a generous amount of unagi (eel) over rice. The eel was cooked very well and the rice was flavorful with a bit of sweetness. There was also a small bowl of udon noodles, some sashimi, a crispy tempura shrimp in a yummy creamy sauce, flavorful edamame, mashed potato with corn, and some pickled veggies - quite the diverse array, all of which was tasty. The restaurant itself has a rather simple yet elegant Japanese wooden design. The prices suggest it's a more high end place, but the vibe is actually rather casual. The staff are very attentive and the service speed is pretty quick. Overall, I would definitely give Moru 4.5 stars if I could. I think it's great for most types of occasions, and the only reasons it's not getting 5 stars is because I do think the prices are a tad higher than I would've hoped and I think they could've done a bit more in terms of designing the place to match the price point. That being said, I still highly recommend Moru, especially for a nice lunch.

I called and placed a take-out order near closing time. The employee was accommodating, pleasant, and told me my order would be ready in 15 minutes. I drove over and was able to find street parking easily. The interior is casual and spacious, but a little dreary and outdated. They have exposed brick walls, wood tables, and hanging light fixtures. My food was prepared on time. I ordered: *Salmon Lover - 4 pieces of sushi, 4 pieces of sashimi, 6 piece roll ($20.50) *Tuna Lover - 4 pieces of sushi, 4 pieces of sashimi, 6 piece roll ($20.50) The salmon and tuna were fresh in taste, texture, and smell. Vibrant colors, firm and smooth textures, and delicate flavors! The sushi rolls had the right fish to rice ratio. The rice could've been more seasoned. The miso soup was warm, savory, and comforting. Not the best sushi I've ever had, but it did the job of satisfying my cravings. I would return to try their special rolls!

My dining partner and I were seated rather quickly. Our server took our drink orders and came back promptly so we could order our food. The menu is pretty extensive but we ordered an assortment of skewers and a bowl of ramen to share. The skewers came out little by little; about 3 skewers per plate. They didn't come all at once so I assume they bring them out as they finish getting grilled. The chicken heart was some of the best I've ever had. I'm not sure if it's the way it was sliced, the seasoning, or just everything about it but I wish we ordered more. The tail skewer was another standout. It had so much crunch that it was almost like it was fried. The flavors were rich and varied. Each skewer cost upwards of $4 so that's a bummer. Unfortunately the ramen wasn't so great. Not terrible, but not great either. Especially not great for $19. Not my first choice for ramen. Is it the most bang for your buck? Certainly not. But I did enjoy my meal and in the end, that's what matters.

The dining area is in rough shape -- cracked wood, dusty interior, and a generally run-down vibe that makes it feel borderline dirty rather than "casual." Service was also frustrating. Our servers couldn't answer basic questions about the menu, which is already hard to follow if you're not familiar with Japanese terms. It left us feeling lost rather than guided. On top of that, the pricing is steep for the suburbs -- $5-$8 per skewer adds up really quickly, and it just didn't feel worth it given the atmosphere and service. All the yakitori was decent but nothing mind blowing, smaller servings and overly salty. To make matters worse, the tap water was awful -- honestly undrinkable. Look at my picture I'm shocked they thought this was acceptable to bring to our table. The food itself may be authentic, but everything else about the experience dragged it down. Unfortunately, not somewhere I'd come back to.
