Stopped in for takeout. We ordered two chicken teriyaki and rice meals and were astonished with the speed with which we received our food. We made it home and the food was still hot. This location usually has open tables and is clean and tidy. Employees are nice and greet customers upon entering. Parking is also never an issue as they have plenty of parking in the shopping center lot. read more

The family were trying to find a new/local/affordable place to grab dinner and as soon as we saw Yelp Elite Eloy's 4-star review for here - we knew it was worth a visit. (Send him a friend request... he's easily one of the nicest and coolest Yelpers out there making North Jersey proud.) First visit: three of us went with different bento boxes, and the Mrs. dove into their sushi. Second visit: three bento boxes and their teriyaki platter. For under $15 a person - the portion sizes were impressive.  A respectable amount of your selected protein with rice and salad along with two dumplings and two spring rolls. (And a ridiculous amount of various sauce packets that must've added another two pounds to our take-out bag!)   Everything was mighty tasty.  This might sound like a dig but those dumplings and spring rolls (surely not too healthy since they were deep-fried) reminded me of what Trader Joe's has in their frozen section - but for a tiny little joint in a strip mall off a highway I wasn't expecting anything that would get the James Beard Foundation to swing by. The Mrs. enjoyed her 'signature roll' and thought it could easily hang with some of the heavyweight places in the area (like Samurai Sushi or Yellowtail). The workers were friendly and hustling to keep up with the customers. The restaurant is clean, maybe a bit 'boring' (looking and feeling a bit like some of their mall neighbors... like &Pizza). We're officially fans and will concur with Eloy that 4-stars is accurate. Holy cow. I am in love with this place. It's about 30 minutes from me, so we seldomly go for our teriyaki kick even though we have the mall one but that place doesn't give as much as this place. So worth the price. I order online which is so simple and by the time I get there it's ready for pick up. They have a large parking area so we eat in the car. This is a new location in a strip mall of many different foods places. I was picking up lunch for my family and decided to give them a try. The establishment is clean and bright. Plenty of seating even for a small place. Staff was friendly and helpful. I was so happy to see poke bowls offered. It was a simple but varied menu options. I chose salmon and extra seaweed salad and the classic sauce. The bowl was hearty and filled with rice, greens, carrot, avocado, and seaweed salad as well as fresh sushi grade salmon. The classic sauce was a balanced sweet and kick of spice. Pricing was a little better than other poke bowls I've had recently. I felt I got my moneys worth however. I look forward to trying other options in their menu. And bonus they offer a loyalty program that gives you a free chicken teriyaki after 6 purchases. Yum! I was in the area for an event and stumbled across this gem! I ordered teriyaki chicken, white rice, cabbage, and a small order of fried wontons. It was VERY GOOD! The sauce they give with the wontons should be bottled up and sold. The portions are generous and the prices are fair. The place is new so everything inside was in top-notch condition. There are plenty of tables should you decide to dine inside. The staff were all friendly and very welcoming when I walked in. They had Beyoncé playing overhead so I felt at home, LOL! I ordered the beef bento box and got it delivered via Grubhub. This is the perfect serving for $13! Everything was packaged well and was still super hot when it arrived. It came with packets of duck sauce and soy sauce. My only gripe was that the dumplings/goyza were a little salty for my taste. Big portions and food is your basic rice, chicken teriyaki, and veggies which is not a complaint especially for lunch/dinner or post gym. Food is always consistent every time I order for takeout. Also, they have a reward system where if they stamped your provided given restaurant card 7x times, you will get a free meal. I have also order for catering before and everyone was pretty happy. Located in the Rutherford Commons off of Route 17 North in East Rutherford, I discovered this establishment while visiting a nearby restaurant. Teriyaki One is a "new and hot restaurant that opened about a month ago if you want something simple and quick to eat for lunch. Upon entering this clean place with the blaring music, it's very similar to Sarku Japan in terms of food selection and preparation, except they also have a poke bowl. My order was the chicken bento box served with chicken teriyaki over white rice, garden salad, 3 pieces of fried meat dumplings, and 2 pieces of fried veggie spring rolls. The food was filling, as the portion sizes were more than generous, delicious, and fresh. However, the dressing on the salad was a bit bland and watery and could have used a bit more ginger dressing. It's so affordable and doesn't hurt one's wallet. The service was prompt, and the employees were friendly and welcoming, so I can recommend it. read more
