They have lots of food options. They have lots of different sushi. The best part is that they have even one vegetarian sushi. They have lots of different chicken options similar to a panda express. Unfortunately nothing is too spicy. The lo mein and fried rice are average. They do have a decent dessert menu but again nothing spectacular. They also have some kid friendly options like chicken nuggets, pizza and onion rings. So it will keep them and you satisfied. The bathrooms definitely need some renovations and better cleaning. Wow, what a cold place ! Do not go here in the winter. We went today Monday, 1/26/2026 to have dinner and we had to keep our coats on while eating. We would get up to get more food and while we left food on our plate the food would get cold. When leaving I asked the Chinese lady in the front what is happening with the heat and she told me oh it's on ! The said I am gonna go check and didn't go to check. Stopped in for lunch. It's 12.99 for lunch add a Pepsi total with taxes comes out to $16.40. Some dishes were empty but it was refilled when I got up again. 4 stars since it is the flaming grill brand. But the place needs alot of staff. Foods are not refilled as fast. The area gets filthy since the patriots around does not have the etiquette. Servers are sometimes overwhelmed in cleaning and the amount of customers they recieve. Restroom starts to smells when i got their and needs cleaning. ATM at site. My dad is a big fan of buffets so we gave this one a whirl a while ago. Nothing really rocked my world but I had a good meal. The black pepper chicken was the best thing I ate. The sushi is serviceable but isn't going to rock your world. I was happy to be able to pick from lots of fruit though! So yea if you want the buffet experience, this is a good choice. read more

I was pleasantly surprised at my experience here. Granted, we got here when we were super hungry after skiing and everything looked good. A lot of the menu items (particularly the sushi and veggies) lacked freshness and I didn't finish them or go for more. I like that they have a Mongolian stir-fry section and a lot of the rice/noodle items and seafood options were shocking good. The dessert was an absolutely miss; I would save yourself the calories and skip it. You're definitely going to get your money's worth with the absurdly low price of this buffet, BUT you better get ready to run laps around your block on the next day because you will feel the stretch of your beltline after eating here! Considering inflation and the nosebleed prices of just about everything you can legally (OR illegally) buy, $17.99 per person for a weekend buffet dinner is straight up larceny in 2023, so when we found out about the "rock bottom" dining prices here, we were quite stunned and verrrrry, verrrrry. verrrrrrrrrry skeptical of the quality of the buffet. We walked in at around 6pm on a summer Saturday evening and, you don't have to be Nostradamus to figure it out, but the restaurant was already PACKED to the gills. There were still a few open tables, but people were already making their rounds around the buffet area like ants (not to say that they have any here, but I wouldn't be surprised if there were somewhere). We were seated immediately, but in the back Party Room. Considering that we had a stroller and baby, we felt that we were "relegated" to the Party Room, where a noisy, large party was having a birthday party, but soon after we realized they probably were indeed at capacity in the main dining room because other groups began also siting in the back. With that said, there seemed to still be open tables in the front that they could have seated us at, but decided not to. Anyway, service wasn't the best when we arrived and one of our kids required a high chair, but every single one had some type of damage. It was as though King Kong had sat in each seat at some point and decided to break off a piece here and there. So the high chairs weren't the greatest. How was the food? Shockingly better than most buffets around this price point and even higher. I've been to some pretty bad buffets in the past, but I can't clump this one in with those. The food selection is actually decent and quite diverse. I mean, yes, everything is going to look like it will clog your arteries and, it will probably will, but this is THAT type of buffet and you have to set expectations before stepping in. Everything served here is Asian-oriented, except the "fast/junk food" station, which has things like fried chicken, fries, onion rings, fried scallops, chicken nuggets, etc. There was really good turnover on many of the foods too as I constantly saw them being replaced. There was seafoods, steamed and fried, plenty of carbs, vegetables, desserts, hibachi and even pre-packaged ice cream. I specifically loved the Cantonese-style clams, fried shrimp and hibachi. You can go plenty wrong with even items like those, but I thoroughly enjoyed them. Bottom line, we didn't get sick from any of the foods and, sheepishly, I kind of liked the food actually. Yes, there were many foods I still stayed away from, like the raw seafood and sushi. I refused to risk my life on either. However, go fill up on the cooked foods because they are actually not bad at all. Parking is as easy as can be outside as well. Will we be back? The hibachi cooked fresh food option has a good selection of meat and veggies, but nothing really high end. Then you have all the staples of Chinese buffet items. They are a little slow to refill on some things. For a lunch price on a non-Sunday, it really can't be beat. Nothing is amazing, but it's got all the fried rice and egg rolls that I crave. The items brought out for dinner are only a couple of things different than lunch, so nothing spectacular. They also have sushi selection and a fruit selection, then a couple of dessert cake options and wrapped frozen treats. Here are the reasons why: - NO free dessert ( extra cost for ice cream) -NO crab legs -food quality has declined - all the food is covered in a layer of oil -sushi is now limited and not fresh. When we walked in there was a long line, but we were seated very quickly. They had many choices of food. It was also pretty good for the price, only 16 dollars. But there were many downsides. They did have crabs there, but they had no crab crackers. So the you couldn't get any meat from the hard stone crab claws. Also many of the fish and meats were drenched in water and had many bones. I am thoroughly embarrassed that I made the decision to eat at the Flaming Grill. Ok. It wasn't my decision alone. My Cuz Marty kinda suggested the place and I went along without protest. But I knew better going in. The Yelp reviews suggested it would be very sketchy. And it was in spades! Plus, I have an unwritten rule regarding all you can eat buffets... All you can eat, usually ain't no treat! I honestly couldn't find anything positive. And boy, I sure tried. I started with a little sushi. Mackerel, Tuna and Salmon. Strike one, strike two, strike three. I then tried some Gyoza. Dried out and crunchy. Next I went for some Chicken and Broccoli which was apparently left out way too long. To the point where the brown sauce became gelatinous. I also tried some Lomein Noodles which were cold and old. I demonstrated even more poor judgement and tried some sautéed Mussels and Clams. Why would one do that you ask? I really don't know. Both items were very chewy and served at questionably low temperatures. Come to think of it most of the items were served luke warm at best. I guess serving things on the coolish side allows them to keep the stuff out longer. My overall observation was that essentially nothing looked even close to fresh. Plus, the place really isn't very sanitary. Sticky tables, sloppy serving area, etc. As I mentioned, I always try look for something positive to say in my reviews. All I am able to come up with is that if your priority is quantity, and quality means absolutely nothing then this may be the place for you. The Flaming Grill has all the ear marks of a sinking ship. I usually don't have high expectations when it comes to Chinese buffets. I am a mom of four boys so as long as there's a variety of food for each kiddo to choose from and there's some flavor in the dishes, Hubby and I consider these two things BIG WINS. When we came in for a quick dinner one evening, I had very low expectations but left pleasantly surprised. The kids had your usual fried rice, lo mein, chicken wing/drumstick of some sort, some fully cooked sushi (your basic "kid favorite" type of food) and while my kids aren't super picky, I sometimes struggle to get them to leave with full tummies. By the time we were ready to go, my older three (ages 10, 5 and 2) have had maybe 1.5-3 plates of food BEFORE fruits and desserts. I thought that the seafood options were decent, the hibachi was tasty and the overall taste of the food was not bad. If you need a quick bite, I truly do think it's worth stopping by. It's no fine dining by all means, but the variety of food options keeps my anxiety at bay when it comes to making sure my family leaves feeling fed. Before the COVID-19 my family and i went to visit the American Mall theme park. Their eateries were not open as yet and we were traveling with 5 kids (three teens and two pre-teens). I'm sure some of you may know, but they get hungry pretty much every hour. I found here via YELP and they had great reviews. I trust my fellow YELPERS opinon more than GOOGLE. Upon entry we asked if they could accommodate seating for 10 people, and they were. They actually have private parties in a room in the back area. I was not expecting it to be so clean and have professional staff, but it was and that made everyone more comfortable. The food arrangement was perfect. The sushi in the front, Ice cream and sweets in the middle, fruit section, and a sea food section (mmmmmmm) plus more. They gave us numerous refills without us seeking out the servers assigned to us. You already know what to expect when you are coming to a buffet, and as long as you have low quality expectations, this place meets and exceeds them hahaha!!! There are very few places that quality along with quantity. This place is better than most. My wife FiL and I have come here a few times and have always left full. Up until I went to a Chinese Buffet in NJ, I never heard of them ever having a built in Hibachi!!!!!! Those things are amazing!!!!!! I am not going to go through all the food options here, because you already know what to expect when coming to a place like this. Most of the food is above average. I personally believe that they do a better job than most buffets when it comes to seasoning their dishes. I usually try to sample a little bit of everything! Now to my favorite part, the hibachi! LOVE ITTTTTTTT!!! I usually get several slices of chicken, a half dozen eggs, lo mein, some veggies and a ton of garlic, and I have them put a TON of soy or teriyaki sauce on it. If I give them 2 or more plates of food, I usually give a dollar or 2 tip. Sushi here is pretty decent as well! I also really love the ice cream freezer at the end with frozen desserts like the oreo and banana! I could eat 10 of them lol! Staff is friendly enough, and they do a great job keeping your drinks full. All in all, a very nice Buffet. Go in, eat your fill, do not expect gourmet, and you will leave more than happy! Horrible experience! Go on a sunday where they jack up the price, every item we got was cold or hard, not cooked properly at all. $80 and we did not even eat. Spoke to manager and she had no care in the world all she said was if food was cold we could have brought it to be heated like WHAT? Why bring it out thats not cooked properly if rice is hard and all food items were cold including kids pizza and chicken nuggets. Classic Asian-American buffet. Good variety, from fried foods to Asian-American cuisine, with some traditional items as well. If you're looking to eat to your heart's content, it's a good place for it. They even have some sushi, a Mongolian make-your-own-plate, and some seafood (clams, mussels, etc). The restaurant was understaffed, and the wait time to have food replenished took 20 minutes. Since it's a buffet, I expected a faster turnout. My guest and I felt rushed when the waiter continued to reach over us to pick up the plates, although we weren't finished. I informed the staff at the front that the men's restroom was dirty and the smell was terrible. As a result, I was told that someone was going to clean it, but, unfortunately, it never happened during my visit. Skip the sushi and dessert, stay for everything else... also not sure what is so hard to understand about the 50 cent surcharge, if you walk out the building with your ice cream closed is where the rule applies. You eat it at the table it's included in the cost at all times. The only complaint is that they do not rush the trays coming out so if you notice something you like emptying out TELL SOMEBODY and they will have a fresh batch from the kitchen! This is one of the best buffet that I have ever seen. The only problem that they have is that they start the dinner at 3:30. The food was delicious because you find it hot and tasty food like shrimp, union rings, sushi, ice cream. The drinks was good because every time you finish with your drink they fill it up again, I always drink lemonades is one of my favorite drink. I like that buffet because they always find you the best place to set by your self or with your family, I always go with my family and it's fun. We went here for dinner on Father's Day. This was my first time at this particular Flaming Grill location. They had a higher price for dinner for the holiday it was 16 and change as opposed to the regular 13 and change. I think they had the up charge since they were offering crab legs. I had a glimpse of the crab legs... I should say the few I saw floating in the water and they were very small and definitely not worth the effort. They had pretty much all of the typical offerings and what I ate was pretty good... I had some shrimp cocktail but some of the shrimp weren't cleaned properly and that really grosses me out... I did enjoy their dessert selections, they had some tasty cakes and mini donuts as well as fresh cream puffs. I also took note that what I read in some of the other reviews is true that the carpeted floor in there was rather dirty. I decided to come here on a whim today, I had a sushi craving and was shopping right next door. We decided to do take out. I think it was somewhere around 5 bucks a pound. We spent 12 bucks for both of us on mainly sushi. Super cheap. The dining area looked nice. The staff was attentive as soon as we walked in. Sure there's a lot to pick from, but most of it is just empty carbs. I just want the good stuff. The sushi, you could tell at first glance wasn't the best. The avocado was browning and the rolls just didn't look their best. I chose an assortment and most were mehhhh. Weird ingredients as fillings, a little suspicious. Black pepper chicken is usually my favorite, this one was all just fried dough and salt. I tried an egg roll too and it was just soggy. The sesame ball was good but very very oily. While paying I asked for spicy mayo for the sushi on the side. They kept pointing to a container of duck sauce, mustard and hot sauce. I asked again and they literally handed me hot sauce, you can imagine my face at this point. So I ate my sushi with no sauce. I probably won't return again, there's better buffets around. Like many have said, due to the economical pricing, you will be fed and go home full. But like many have also said, the variety here is fairly disappointing when you compare with other buffets. Said differently, just don't compare. Compare it to a restaurant or better yet, even fast food. You won't get this variety for this price. We got our money's worth after a long day at American Dream. I'd much rather eat this than the overpriced food at the mall. However, my rating is a reflection of the restaurant variety / taste / quality overall. It was a-ok but I might still be back if I'm in the area and desperate enough. I would stay away from the sushi like others have mentioned.
