This is a gas station with a food counter. It's a larger space with full shopping of the store. There is an open counter where you can select fresh salads, sandwiches, and sides. The chicken is crispy and well seasoned. The biscuit was a little dry even though it had a butter glaze on top. I opted for the fried catfish and chicken strips. Both were delicious. They have several kinds of fish as well as fried chicken pieces. They also serve pizza and a few other things. The spot obviously has a lunch crowd of regulars which is always a good sign. It's a little tricky getting into the parking lot as this is a high traffic area. The cashier was energetic and efficient. His recommendation was true to his word it's pretty good. I would leave no stars if I could I came in and placed a 72$ order and I asked the lady " can you do a large red beans and rice with rice on the side " she goes " yes do you want white rice or jumbalaya " I said " oh I didn't know you can do that can I get jumbalaya on the side " I also ordered another combo a two piece dark with jumbalaya upon checking out after already being rushed to order twice before I was ready and still clearly looking up at the menu I needed to sort my things as it was going to two seperate places she wasn't happy about that either I told her I'm missing a jumbalaya she goes no your not I then went to the car checked it again and discovered only one jumbalaya and one red beans. ( she put the red beans and jumbalaya together ) NOT WHAT I WANTED. Walked Up to the counter and wasn't greeted by the two girls having a conversation about 2 feet from me. After 5 minutes I interrupted their conversation to ask if my carry out order was ready? They look disgusted because they had to do their job. I was pretty taken back how rude they were. My husband I got our food and when we returned home I realized they forgot to put cheese in both of our calzones . Very unprofessional, won't return back to order food. I placed a carry out order today for 4 calzones at 10:33 AM, stating I would pick it up at 11. I arrived approximately at 11:10, and it wasn't ready. I asked and was told it would be out soon. 11:20, I asked for a refund ( $60 worth of food ) since I had to be back at work by 11:30. My food finally appeared once the word refund came up. Perfectly done , generous sized chicken breast with buttered biscuit. The chicken is purchased inside the "party store". They offer a variety of sides too. Chicken sold in many combinations/amounts. Gas station in front of "party store". The only improvements I can think of are to sell smaller sizes of sides (not $2.99) and to possibly try a spicy version of chicken. The food is delicious it's so incredible. It does take a while to make the food but it's all worth it.

We popped in at Saroki's because we really were craving fried chicken and I have to say this one really came through. The chicken was nicely done and not too greasy. The sides also were pretty good. I'd like the Mac and cheese more than I did the mashed potatoes but both of them were nice. I do believe it's a little pricey for what it is, hence the four stars. I should also note that the guys manning the counter were extremely friendly and service oriented. Good job. read more

This review is just for takeout. My dad had won a $10 gift card so we did the $13 large one-topping pizza, with mushrooms. The pizza had ten slices and was pretty large. The sauce is a bit sweet but otherwise I'd compare it to Pizza Hut pizza - good, but could be a lot cheaper. As far as I know, Saroki's doesn't have flavored crusts, though. This one is in a gas station as others have mentioned, they have other locations too though that I think are standalone. Overall, like 3.5/5 from me so I'll round up to 4. Our favorite pizza place! We were skeptical at first because it is inside of a gas station, but don't let that discourage you. We have had a Stromboli, pizzas, pepperoni breadsticks, and the antipasto salad. Everything was delicious! They have the old world pepperonis which is so good. Only one time did we order a pepperoni pizza and wished there had been more toppings on it. Hence the 4 star rating. They also have pizza by the slice available. Food is fine (expensive, but fine). The problem = the young lady at the register - altered what I was able to see, so she could add a $5 tip for herself. I got reciept, and came home to cross reference - called manager, and he was uninterested in discussing the matter. Blamed me - on my end (the option for a tip wasn't even there). This place used to be great. They changed some things: The chicky breading is not so hard you risk chipping a tooth. The Wixom location stopped selling the spicy garlic sauce, but the royal oak location has it still. The use to to make great cheese bread, there was always way to much cheese so we would ask for medium cheese whichh was just right, but now no cheese and they keep burning it. If they ever get back to quality our family enjoyed for years I would be happy to update, but we have stopped ordering here with the way it consistently is. read more

I called at 4:00 pm to place an order and was told 20-25 minutes. I was only 5 minutes away. When I arrived there were plenty of chicken tenders but they hadn't even begun putting my order together. In fact, the worker wasn't putting any orders together. Just waiting. I told them that if it would still take 20 minutes I needed to cancel. I was told "OK" as opposed to "Since you're here and the food is ready we can get you right out the door." What is more alarming are the workers. Bomb.com. This isn't 'gas station food' it just happens to reside its operation / store front inside a very large convenience store that is part of the gas station. A few weeks ago my friend got their cajun chicken for all of us and man was it good. I stopped in yesterday and tried 4pc tender meal, and a single serving of stromboli, about 4". Chicken - Super moist on the inside, awesome crunch on the outside without being 'hard'. Biscuit - Soft and buttery on the inside, slight chew to the outside with honey notes, yum! Stromboli - Holy cow batterman it was packed full of cheese, which was velvety, just a bit stringy but not chewy, and the sausage and pepperoni inside, awesome. Crust on the outside was killer with what tasted like butter garlic, and parmesan finish. Don't forget, a stromboli has no sauce inside, however I didn't receive sauce on the side like you traditionally would, so i found that part odd. Perhaps he just forgot. We've been customers of Saroki's for a long time, their food is amazing and their staff wears masks which we appreciate especially with COVID on the rise. The managers, the guy and girl are awesome. We had a problem with our order and Kaylie helped us right away and corrected it. The rest of their staff are pretty average, you can tell some of them don't want to be there. I ordered a pizza for delivery to my home and what I received was a pizza with all of the cheese slid to one side in a massive pile. My go to place for my fried chicken fix. Now I've finally decided to review. Love the spice mix they marinate their chicken in. Always juicy and hot when I stop in. Don't forget the biscuits either! The other day I stopped in for something different. Called in an order for 2 subs and wings. Also delicious! The bread they use for the subs is amazing! I didn't eat them right away -- but still crisp and awesome texture 40mins later. The fiancé lived it as he did the wings. Usually wings can get a bit dried and gross. Not here! This was my first time ordering from Saroki's. I've heard a lot about them and I love friend chicken sandwiches, so I thought I would give it a try. Chicken was WAY too spicy. There wasn't any "no spice" option on the website, either. I do not tolerate spice well - pepper is too "spicy" for me - and I've eaten half my sandwich and my mouth is on fire! Not sure I will even finish the sandwich. It would be great to offer a no spice option or - here's an idea - not make it this spicy to begin with! Not everyone like's spice or this much.
