We ordered delivery from Sarpino's...glad we did. My wife enjoyed a signature chef salad with a side of caesar's dressing. I thoroughly enjoyed a 8" Midnight Express pizza. It had Sarpino's pizza sauce, ground beef, salami, pepperoni, Italian sausage, jalapenos, crushed red pepper flakes and a blend of cheeses. Always delicious! I think they changed their recipe up but still very tasty. Ordered in door dash and never been in the restaurant. But have had their pepperoni calzone a total of three times. Came with crushed peppers and Parmesan cheese packets, and ranch. read more

I came down to brays bayou to do a Clean up, and after I got to enjoy some pizza! I have never heard of this place before, but the organization of clean up was praising how good it was. They donated pizza for the volunteers, and I had the meat lovers. It was even better than expected, so good I forgot to take a picture! Lots of cheese, tasty crust, and I appreciated the salami underneath the cheese almost like Montreal style, while the pepperoni was on top. Last night I was scrambling to find a quick bite before an event at the Italian Cultural & Community Center. Somehow Yelp routed me to Main & Braeswood--about three miles from my destination--into a nearly deserted strip center. I'm sure it's busier during the day, but at that moment my options were limited: Morningside Thai, which looked packed (and I was in a hurry), or Sarpino's, which was completely empty. I chose Sarpino's, figuring I could grab a quick slice or sandwich. I ordered the Italian sandwich on French bread with mayo. Normally I'd go oil and vinegar, but I didn't want soggy bread in case there were leftovers. The receipt said the counter guy's name was Santiago. He told me it would take about 12 minutes. I (politely) pushed back--really?--and asked if anything was faster. Santiago explained everything is made to order, but assured me the sandwich was the quickest option and said he'd make it personally. What I didn't realize is that they heat the sandwich in the oven, warming both the bread and the shaved meats. I'm usually not a hot-sandwich guy when it comes to Italian meats... but wow. Santiago had it out in under 10 minutes, and it was fantastic. I'm not a huge eater, but I crushed half of that sandwich in minutes--and it's a big sandwich. After that first round, I gave him a thumbs-up and told him, "Awesome sandwich." I made it to my event six minutes late, and for the next 90 minutes I thought about the rest of that sandwich sitting in my car. When I got home, I immediately ate another quarter and saved the rest. This morning (I'm not a breakfast guy), I reheated the final portion in the air fryer for about three minutes--and enjoyed every last bite. Thank you, Santiago. I'll absolutely go out of my way to come back and try more of the menu--especially the margherita pizza. Only downside: no beer or wine. Otherwise, a great surprise and a seriously good sandwich. I like the pizza and wings here. The wings up until 2017 were the best wings you could have with an organic chicken taste, savory n buttery spice rub and juicy with some bark on the outer part. The wings have changed some over the years, but still better than most places where the wings are too runny, too dry, too salty or just general with nothing special about them. The wings I got here recently were very delicious, a little spicy, very tender and soft inside. On a note, I hope I didn't just get lucky bc I haven't been here in a year or so and had pizza that time. I haven't had the wings since the first lockdown time in 2020. I was pleased on this visit. I've been working in the Medical Center for quite some time now and Sarpinos is one of the favorites in the area. They are open late which is ideal for night shifters like myself. We usually break around midnight and they still deliver that late. Their menu is pretty extensive and more than just pizza. Their pizza is just the way I like it. Easy on the sauce, lots of good cheese and plenty of toppings. It reminds of pizza I enjoyed while living in the Midwest. We recently ordered wings and they were not good at all. I am sure they are the frozen wings you get in your freezer section and throw in the over. Be warned they are pricey compared to your chain pizza places. Overall, Sarpinos is a solid choice, but I will keep looking for better! read more

I have encountered a very hostile moment from the store owner because of the amount of tips for the "pick-up" order. Consequently, I left the store leaving the food behind because I could not trust the safety of the food cooked by such a frustrated person. I have a habit to make the whole-number dollars by adding some cents for a pick-up order. But I guess the store owner was not happy about that. Adding a generous tip for a pick-up order is new normal nowadays? I just don't understand why he confronted me with such an agitated words and pointing gestures over the tips for a pick-up order. In short, according to his guideline, do NOT add any tips if you think of adding a small amount of tips for the pick-up order. He said the small amount of tips even for the pick-up order would make him feel very frustrated. read more

Alex the delivery driver made this 4 stars instead of 3. He delivered my order earlier than expected, but the Coke I ordered was not included. At first he said the drink would be credited back to my account, but when I explained that my hotel pulled out all vending machines, and the store at the front desk appeared out of Coke (and never waited on me)...Alex said he would deliver the soda to me on his next delivery and he kept his word! That's excellent customer service that earns business & doesn't lose it. When I initially saw the menu, I was shocked that it didn't have vegan options like other Sarpino's, so I called to make sure and was told they had no vegan options. Evidently, Sarpino's in certain markets do not offer the vegan Cheez sticks, pizza, calzones, or Beyond chicken. But, the one thing you can count on is Free delivery. And, I thought it was great that the code OL10 was offered at checkout to save 10%. The 12 in fit perfectly in the Hampton hotel mini fridge, and I'd highly suggest Sarpino's delivery for long days at nearby medical centers. read more

We stopped o to this place on our way to the doctor next door. What a find ! While on line to order I checked the Yelp reviews and they were all excellent. We ordered the sausage calzone and it was by far the best calzone I have ever had. The first was crisp and tasty. The stuffing was just the right amount of melted mozzarella and sausage and al dente green peppers. I wish I'd taken a picture. I highly recommend and can't wait to go back. read more

I noticed this place while leaving the grocery store and decided to stop by. Parking was a bit tricky due to the restaurant being at the end of a small strip center, but it was no big deal. The restaurant itself was quite spacious, so anyone with a large party or needing special accommodations would have no problems with seating. I ordered a large pepperoni pizza with extra sauce for $14, including tax. But, once I got home, I realized the pizza had extra sauce AND extra cheese (I didn't ask for the latter). Once I got home, I called the restaurant, and they promptly rectified the issue...no questions asked!! For that, they get an A++ in customer service, and I'll DEFINITELY be ordering from here again! read more

The delivery was pretty fast. So 6 months ago when I first ordered from here the cheese tortellini was perfect. Lots of cheese ( perfectly browned) and just the right amount of sauce. Tonight it was not so amazing. I even called to be sure they put plenty of cheese on it due to it being poorly made last month. She said she got it. We called and placed the order, and they were happy to help us figure out what sizes to order for the number of people in our group. Shout out to the delivery driver who was dealing with houston flooding and the staff at the store who had to cook using their generators! The pizzas were delivered only 10 minutes late- though it was fresh from the oven and hot, which is a miracle given the day's circumstances! Everyone loved the pizza so much that word got out, and now we have ordered it 3 more times for meetings with different groups. It is always a hit and on time! The good: Their pizza menu is extensive! But if you can't find a single pizza you like, you can make your own. I tried the Spinach Special - spinach, cheese, and garlic butter sauce, I think. It was pretty good! My boyfriend got the Hawaiian - Canadian bacon, more bacon, pineapple, and cheese. He liked the toppings a lot, but didn't think much of the basics of the pizza (sauce, cheese, crust). They deliver, or you can pick it up. The bad: The location is super weird - in a pretty empty shopping center behind the Kroger on Main. I wouldn't eat there - definitely pick it up or have it delivered. Or may be at lunch time there are people there - but when I was there around 7:30 not a single person was eating in the pizzeria. I picked up our pizzas, and the service was pretty bad - people were just waiting around for their pizzas, and I waited a while before he told me I could come up to pay.
