If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. So two weeks ago, April 25th to be exact, I called Sartorial to book an appointment to get my ac fixed. They diagnosed my car a few years ago and told me that I had a bad compressor that needed to be replaced and possibly a bad condenser too. When I talked to Giovanni on April 25th, I asked him if I could bring my car in on a Saturday to get it fixed. He told me they were only open 8am-12pm on Saturdays and this job could take a while, depending on if it was both the compressor and condenser that needed replacing. He asked me if I could bring it in during the week and I told him I'd need to ask for a day off of work. He told me that to help me out with scheduling, I could drop off my car on a Friday around 2pm so that they would have time to work on it that day and finish on Saturday if they needed more time. I said that sounds great, I would only need to leave work an hour early. Giovanni scheduled me for May 8th at 2pm for my car to be dropped off. On May 8th, Giovanni called me and left me a voicemail while I was at work at 11:11am, confirming with me that I would be there at 2pm that same day to drop off my car. I did not answer since I was working. I go in to drop off my car at 2pm and the manager Roger is there in the office. I told him I am dropping off my car for ac repair and he says, "Are you dropping it off to be worked on tomorrow?" I said, "No, I am getting it dropped off to be worked on today" and I told him about my conversation I had with Giovanni on April 25th. He said to me that they were busy and he wasn't sure he would be able to get to my car that day. I told him I knew it could take a while to work on my car for what it needed and I had made this appointment 2 weeks in advance. He told me that dropping off my car at 2pm for this is pretty late. I told him that this was the time that Giovanni told me to drop my car off at. He told me that they had two oil changes to get to and then they could start on my car that day. I said ok and left. May 9th I called to check in on my car at 8:51am and Giovanni answered and told me they had not yet gotten to my car. I grew worried since there was only 3 hours left until they closed. I asked him if he had a timeframe for me and he said he did not. I called back at 9:10am, prepared to tell them I would just pick up my car and go somewhere else at this rate. Roger answered this time and he told me that they would get my car done before noon. At 11:09am, Roger calls me and tells me, "I have good news and bad news" the good news is that we won't charge you anything today" the bad news is, we did not get to your car." He offered to recharge my system for free so I could have at least a little ac. I reminded him that the last time they tried to recharge my ac, they told me it was out of charges and the compressor needed replacing. He said he would look into that. I go to pick up my car with my boyfriend and a young guy at the front desk hands me my keys. Roger walks into the office as we are leaving and he tells me, I guess you'll come back some other time, see you next time". I told him, "I would not be coming back and I was upset that they tell me they will get my car done and nothing gets done." I don't care how busy they are. They should have been able to at least tell me hey we are so busy we won't be able to get to it this time. I would have not wasted all this time not having my car for it to just sit there. My boyfriend and I walked out and said to eachother we are never coming back here, screw this place. The young man at the front desk was walking out at the same time. He heard what we said, turned to us and said, "Fuck you guys." I wish I was making this up. I turned to him and told him he was unprofessional and an asshole. He told me I should have dropped my car off before 2pm yesterday. I think he might have been the worst part of our experience. He was really rude and I wish I got his name. I didn't bother telling Roger that his employee is highly unprofessional and just a mean person. I believe he would take his side anyway. Bottom line is, these guys have very poor communication between each other and I wish they could have saved me time by saying hey we just won't have time to work on your car this week. They also have noo consideration or care of their customers and I did not get a single sorry from any of them. And maybe don't keep an employee that is a jerk to customers. read more

I brought my vehicle in because it was making a loud metal-on-metal noise. Before coming in, I called and was quoted $45 for an inspection. I also called another repair shop that offered a free inspection, but I chose this business because it was closer to my home. When I picked up my vehicle, I was charged $104 instead of the $45 I had been quoted. I explained that I came there based on the quoted price and that I am on a strict budget. Unfortunately, the business refused to honor the original quote. When I politely brought the issue to the owner's attention, he simply shrugged his shoulders and sarcastically said, "OK." That response was disappointing and made me feel like my concerns didn't matter. The issue wasn't just the additional charge--it was the lack of accountability and customer service. Had I known the inspection would cost more than double what I was quoted, I would have gone to the other shop that offered a free inspection. TLDR; Avoid this shop, bolts not tightened, owner and techs talk smack about you, bad communication I took my truck to get a transmission put in. For starters, I'm pretty mechanically inclined and do most of my own work, however I did not have some specialty tools or equipment to do the job so I took my truck here. I called and was told I could bring my truck in on Tuesday, which was about 5 days after my intial call. When I brought it in, I asked about a timeline to which they told me a week and a half. Okay, no problem as I wasn't in a huge rush. What really puts me off about this shop is the customer service. When asked about some hardware, I said I might have lost some bolts and they can just replace them. To which they rolled their eyes VERY blatantly after I said that and sighed. This was already a huge red flag and I should have just went someone else at this point. They then quoted me $175/hr for labor, and said a max of 5 hours of labor. Okay, sounds good. Anyways, I dropped off the truck, and fast forward a week and a half later, I hadn't heard anything. When I called they told me they hadn't gotten time to work on it, and it might be another week. I told them I needed it back within the next couple days, and thats past their timeline they gave me. They ended up moving me up in the queue which was nice, but it only got worse from here. Upon picking up my truck, everything with the truck itself seemed in order. I went into the office to pay, only to find out my labor rate was $200/hr not the $175 they quoted me. I didn't bother as I just wanted to get out of there at this point. Now here's where it really gets interesting. I took my truck home and watched my dashcam footage as I have parking monitor on and it turns on with the truck. When watched back, some clips were of what I believe to be the owner, and some tech talking smack about me, and the truck which I will not get into here. I totally understand having fun at your workplace, and talking with each other. But talking smack about your customers? Really? Anyways, after I got home, the truck sounded a tad bit loud, so I took a look underneath only to find that an exhaust bolt was not tight, not even hand tight. I could spin it off with my fingers causing a minor exhaust leak. I fixed it myself and that was the end. Overall I would recommend to stay as far away as possible from this shop and go somewhere else. However, they did get the job done so whatever. read more

I took my car to Sartorial Auto Repair 3 years ago after getting rear-ended. The accident caused a pretty bad gas leak which they were paid generously by the at fault driver's insurance, to fix. When my car was done, I picked it up from Sartorial and they said "you need to get gas, it's pretty empty" They left a couple dirty rags in my car, and they had written some notes, with marker, on the outside- including the words "gas leak" with an arrow pointing to where it was leaking. I got in my car and drove directly to the nearest gas station, but my car ran out of gas before I got there!! I called them and they were annoyed and said they couldn't help me because they were busy. I ended up getting some nice bystanders to help me push it to the gas station. It's annoying, too, because I had almost a full tank when I brought it there! This happened 3 years ago and I have had issues starting the car and smelling gas fumes and not passing smog, etc. my mechanic pointed out these issues I've been having are all related to the gas leak after finding a huge puddle of gas on the ground right underneath the green marker arrow (still there) with the words "gas leak" from three years ago! I called the shop and they just said they don't honor it after three years. I feel like they never actually fixed it correctly. read more

After about two weeks after my visit, my vehicle stalled on me and I was really frantic! What more can I say about Rodger and his staff. Thankful to have encounter them and what a blessing. My family of 5 was driving down to Guerneville from San Mateo, when all of sudden on 101 our radiator blew out. I found his auto shop on yelp and took my van to the shop. It was Saturday around 11 AM and asked if he could fix it. Rodger not only was friendly but said he can fix it in a couple of hours.
