She told me that she felt sorry for me that I was married to my husband because he was frustrated that we had to wait so long for $13. I would recommend nobody goes here? Biggest disappointment at Sasquatch and Wild Card is unreliable drawing times.

After being an avid visitor to the Wild Card Saloon for several months, one of the Sasquatch Casino's sister properties, I finally got the chance to stop in and check it out. Similar to its sister property, you won't find the glitz and glamour of the mega properties down the road here - it's small, laid back, and no frills, which are pretty much my personal preferences. One factor that definitely stood out here was the amount of promotions and specials going on for a smaller sized property. I was given the lowdown on the food specials at the bar, the pizza restaurant upstairs with its 99 cent slice specials, and the various promotions. After discovering the kiosk of 10 cent Sizzling 7s machines, I was pretty amped to find out that they'll give you an extra $10 in cash every time you line up 3 red sevens with max bet. Let's just say I'd probably be loaded if every casino I visit did that! This particular promotion runs every day, and I was able to leave with an extra $150 simply due to the fact that it exists. Oh yeah, and they race hamsters as well. Gotta admit too, their logo and players card crack me up - unique, and borderlined cheezy! And yes, there are two full scale stuffed Sasquatches in the middle of the casino, as the other photo indicates. Classic. It's worth a visit, no doubt. read more

So we were actually just looking for some inexpensive food, and asked the free local shuttle driver where she recommended. She told us there were great $4 burgers at Sasquatch, so we headed on in. First, you've gotta realize this is a low-budget casino in an ancient building. The rooms are tiny, and strung together in a weird maze concept. When you get upstairs to the grill, it's tempting to judge by appearance and hightail it right back outta there. It's a tiny room, about the size of a large bedroom. But if you can get past the weirdness, the food is wonderful for the ridiculously low prices. Cheeseburger (Swiss, American, or Cheddar) and fries for $4. Fish and chips for $4. Shrimp basket for $4. Etc. And then the absolute best reason to step foot inside this place: $2 slices of cheesecake. Really, really good cheesecake. Oh, and soda and coffee and soft serve ice cream are complimentary. On the way out, we found an entirely separate eating area, with a more extensive menu that included $2.99 breakfast meals (breakfast burritos, croissant sandwiches, veggie wrap, pancakes), $2.99 lunch sandwiches with chips (roast beef, tuna salad, grilled cheese, club croissant, pb & j), and even a chicken ceasar salad for $1.99. Also, $.99 pizza slices, and Free hot dogs. Beer is $1, wine is $2, and juice is 50cents. Important to highlight that these prices were w/o any membership, card, or playing; just general deals for everyone. Seriously, if you want some grub on the cheap, this is the #1 choice in Blackhawk/Central City. The effort that it'll take to find their food is well worth it in the end. read more

Very crowded and small. Love the sasquatch in the front although we had to maneuver around tables of donuts and were unsure about that the signs advertising the Hamster Races. The photographs chronicling the making of sasquatch is really neat but I didn't get to see them. Very popular place but everything was so squished that we didn't stay to play. This is a difficult review to write, I have been a loyal customer for over 10 years. I enjoyed a few trips up every month. What happened to me today is unacceptable and I will never step foot in this casino again. They were short staffed and forgot to even cook my father's chicken, instead the employee got angry with him. My dad waited patiently for over 30 minutes. This escalated until I talked with 2 managers that were both extremely rude. Instead of rectifying the situation and apologizing the staff attack me and my father. I have never been treated this badly in a business!! The manager was cussing at both me and my dad. Completely unprofessional and unacceptable behavior. The situation ended with me talking to a higher up manager, who said she would comp the chicken meal that we had been waiting an hour for, but that's all she could do. SHE REFUSED TO APOLOGIZE FOR THEIR MISTAKE. It really saddens me to write a review like this, but the treatment is unacceptable and unprofessional!! Great place to lose money and be treated rudely. Contains the only place in Black Hawk for kids as they have a small arcade in the basement. However, half the machines will eat their money too and won't be refunded. The bartender and cage worker were both extremely rude and all the employees were gathered in a corner talking about the kids complaining about their lost money. Never again! One of my favorite casinos! Friendliest service up the mountain! Great atmosphere, workers are always accommodating and very friendly. The machines here are extremely hotttttttt!! Not to mention the BEST PROMOTIONS! Tuesdays alternate from ladies night to guys night and you get 20$ from only 5 points!! Personally, my first impression of the Sasquatch was that it's not fancy. However, they have promotions that are kind of inescapable once you might begin to spend some time in Central City/Black Hawk. For starters, they often have had a free wheel to spin on the sidewalk. Almost every spin is some kind of winner and, I believe, top free prize's $2. Well, I took the $2 and helped myself to a free cup of coffee and got the player's club card and began to experience Sasquatch world. They have some kind of deal where you get a cheese burger or tuna sandwich for $1 that's almost inescapable - something like play just a little bit with your card and the points equals the meal. They have nickel and dime machines so you don't have to spend tons to play. A couple of the end-of-the-bar poker machines seemed almost like ATMs, I couldn't lose and I'm not world class at poker. Upstairs they have a little pizza place that has gigantic, 16"?, pizzas for $5! There is some kind of drawing always going on. Typically, anyone that won a jackpot was entered into the drawing. Some of the frequent players there must be hip to getting a qualifying jackpot as you do hear the same names getting the jackpots all the time. Still, food is practically free, playing can be inexpensive, and at least some of the machines are very liberal. I've seen a couple of reviews labeling the staff as rude. I would say look around. It's not the fanciest or most-expensive place. When you're serving a $1 hot dog or a $5 pepperoni pizza, how much of a tip do you think they might get? If you are friendly and respectful - and don't forget they live on tips - they warm to you in keeping with what you prove to be. I have been going to Blackhawk for over two years. I never knew that there were more casinos behind the Lodge Casino. I visited Sasquatch Casino because it was ladies night. They were giving away a meal, a drink, a gift (hand sanitizer) and twenty dollars! I was all about the twenty dollars. They don't have tables only slots. I'm not a fan of slot machines but I looked around until I decided to sit at the bar and play Kino (Bingo). I am happy to say I made my twenty dollars to 50. I ordered a tuna sandwich and I only paid a dollar for it because I apparently made points while playing. What a deal!!!! The casino is small and the small staff have to divide their time. I then visited the slot machines that actually spit out coins! Wow let me tell you. That was awesome! I played one machine and hit jackpot. That was another fifty dollars and I had only played five dollars playing 40 cents a hit. I left this casino with 91 dollars. I think I did pretty well. I really liked this casino because of the cheap food, the friendly staff, the coin slot machines and the decor. I would give it five stars if it had a roulette table. Saw a billboard on westbound I-70 stating that if you have a motorcycle license, you can get $20 in free play at the Sasquatch. Having never been there, and having a valid motorcycle license, I thought I would give it a try.
