Delicious croissants, flaky, buttery and everything you want a croissant to be. We ordered 3 mini sweet ones and 3 mini savory. The sweet ones consisted of butter, chocolate and almond. They were phenomenal. The savory were filled with Buffalo chicken. I really wanted to like this but just couldn't get past the taste, and texture. It was very, vinegary and almost mineral tasting. What a complete joke for a restaurant. You have to order your breakfast at the counter then there 6.99 breakfast then you get dirty eggs off the grill. Also they give you a choice of hash browns or toast, which doesn't make since. What are potatoes or toast just to expensive to have both. The girl with the long phony eyelashes at the counter never smiled and acted like she sure didn't want to be there. Won't ever go there again. Well I guess the owner thinks no one else has been in the restaurant business. I managed and cooked in them for 30 years. And handling my complaint the way the owner did would have been unheard of. With the garbage plates your letting go out to the customer you won't be there to much longer. read more

This was complete garbage. The food here was just like eating dog food. Service was not even efficient and I had to make my own coffee, peasant to work. The ambience was for seniors, and the website did not look like the food I received. I ordered the Belgium waffle (with the strawberries and whipped cream and the drizzle) and all I got was a plain waffle. An Eggo would have been better. Complete disaster of an experience. Today's lunch (02/10/23) was our first and last time at this establishment. First we ordered and evidently they forgot to give me my fountain drink cup after pre-paying for our food. We then sat ourselves and it was a slightly dirty table. My wife sat her purse on the chair and proceeded to use the ladies room. I cleaned the table, no help was available or around. Upon her return she explained that one stall was broken and the other was unkept (very disgusting). Her soup came and she loved it. My order came wrong and on a dirty plate. I asked for a refund on my food and no one ever delivered my ice tea. I received a refund on the beverage as well. So I unfortunately left a $5.00 tip on a $10.00 order that I had to pre-pay for and never ate. I absolutely would not recommend this establishment to anyone other then a City of Mesa Health Inspector. read more

As a Baker at a local shop I had to come and try the competition. I got the cinnamon roll French toast and my Girlfriend got the Pina Colado French Toast. Both dishes were out of this world. Some of the best French toast we've had. The service was fantastic as well. The cashier answered all of our questions quickly and with a smile. The store feels very homey like I belong here. The reviews on this place are exceptional, and their tiny cupcakes they brought to the table with our breakfast confirmed the reason why they have such great reviews. Everybody there was friendly, and the place is well lit and laid out. The cakes and baked goods all looked as amazing as the mini cupcakes tasted. Unfortunately we were there for breakfast, and while the food was good, it just wasn't anything special. The pricing was right, and the portion sizes were fine. In fact there was nothing off about it. But it just wasn't great, as in drive up from Florence to get it great. Sassy's is a great place to pick up a salad to bring home. I usually order the BBQ chicken salad, but also enjoy the Mixed Berry salad as well. I really appreciate that Sassy's offers them as either a full or a half salad option. I have one pet peeve that they could easily fix...Sassy's includes a mini red velvet cupcake with all orders. (A nice touch) For some unknown reason, they place the cupcake inside your to go salad order. This means that the frosting gets cheese, lettuce, corn etc. stuck in it. If I could remember, I'd ask for it on the side, but why they just can't do that to begin with, I don't know. Other than my mini-rant, I enjoy the salads at Sassy's!! read more

Awesome customer service! Delicious breakfast of cinnamon roll and pina colada french toast. Coffee was a pass for next time (similar to Folgers, Maxwell House). Cinnamon roll was life changing; pillowy soft dough, perfect cinnamon layering, enrobed with light and sweet icing. Pina Colada French Toast...okay. PCFT was typical sandwich bread, I'm used to Texas toast style. That might just be a preference thing. Flavor was good but not great. Unlikely to order again. Bakery case looked sweet, fresh and delicious but I passed my sugar/fat goal for the day with the cinnamon roll!! I'd be back for the roll, order a cake or the bakery treats. We made a to-go order by phone on the morning of Dec 31, 2021. When we went to pick up our order, they were missing a side of gravy. No big deal, they fixed it, and we left. But, when we got home, we realized that our french toast was also incorrect: it was plain instead of piña colada flavoring. We called to report the error and get what we ordered. We were put on hold for 7 minutes when they forgot about our phone call. Then finally, when we got a hold of them, they told us 20 minutes to get the french toast we ordered because they were really busy (only 5 tables at the restaurant were full, but they may have had a lot of to-go orders, which are not as obvious). When we went to pick up our corrected order, the girl at the register and chef both lectured us (condescendingly), saying our original french toast was correct (we brought back the plain french toast as evidence). This is in spite of fact that it was clear that it was maple syrup and not coconut syrup and there were no coconut flakes or macadamia nuts on the french toast. The batter also tasted like standard french toast. And, when picking up our order, there was another order of french toast at the same time, and they refused to admit there was a possibility they gave us the wrong order. The girl then went on to say that she never put in our corrected order for the pina colada french toast when we called in (even though 20 minutes was promised) and so we would have to wait 30 minutes for it to be fixed. When we asked for a refund instead, she didn't know how to return money to our credit card, so had to provide cash, which of course, did not include tax because she did not know how to do that either. It is clear that the employees are very poorly trained and do not care about customer service. It was a waste of an hour of our time and two trips to the same restaurant. Although the food might taste fine, the service left such a poor taste in our mouth that we would never recommend it. Let me preface this review by saying I like this bakey and I have bought several birthday cakes from Sassy's and I've never had a problem, they have always turned out wonderful. Now however, I am livid. My husband had Sassy's make my 40th bday cake. You know a pretty big birthday, the big 4 0. Well he picked up the cake on Saturday around 2pm and he looked at it and it looked fine (although the skull was pretty big). Well when he took it out to surprise me the cake was basically destroyed. Now this cake was supposed to be the showpiece for my birthday, but it ended up a disappointment. The skull had completely crushed the cake, my husband was so upset he wanted this cake to be special. The bakery never told my husband that the skull was heavy and could potentially crush the cake. We actually weighed the skull, it weighed over 1lb, 19.2 ozs to be exact. Now I'm not a baker but even I knew that it was too heavy for the cake. So there I was, on my 40th birthday with a cake that made me sad. Edit: comment to owner: As I stated in my earlier review, the cake did look fine when my husband left the bakery, "I do not need to see the pictures you took before it left your store". The cake also looked fine when my husband got home, he checked. It was stabilized during transport. It wasn't until 3-4 hours later that he brought the cake out to surprise me. By that time, the weight of the skull collapsed the side of the cake. The cake straw did not help support the skull, as it was under the layer of red white chocolate. The skull was just too heavy, maybe it needed additional support. read more

We went to the Sassys on Main St. It was a long drive for us but I told my husband it was really good. I was surprised at how run down it was, definitely in need of a makeover. I had lunch there today with a friend. The food was good and they serve huge portions. I had the berry salad and my friend had the turkey cranberry sandwich. There was no cranberry sauce on the sandwich! Just a creamy spread that had a bit cranberry mixed in it. She was disappointed but said it tasted good. I have ordered the Mix at Night Bake in the Morning Cinnamon Roll Mix in the past and I recently placed an order for 2 on October 7. Today (October 24) I received my package and was very disappointed to open the package and have plastic bags of the mixture without being the in the nice bags that provide the recipe with instructions to mix the ingredients. Waste of my money and I would not recommend to my friends any longer. I have included the picture of what I received....it was not in the package you stated in your response! Sassy's made our wedding cake and I am beyond happy and impressed! I found an ombré cake I loved online and they make it exactly like the picture. And we was delicious!!!! Beautiful and delicious - can't be beat. Oh! And my fiancé was picking up his tux at The Tuxedo Lady next door and mentioned we didn't have flowers yet (2 days before the wedding). She went next door and grabbed a Sassy's employee (I don't know her name) and brought her over to talk to my fiancé. She saved us. I visit SASSY'S QUITE OFTEN.... I love the Senior breakfast! It includes coffee.. Such a great price for Seniors on a budget.. Last visit I swapped out the toast for fresh fruit... the fruit was amazingly delicious.... Red berries, Black berries, strawberries & cantaloupe .... Had to pay extra but so worth it ! I've also brought my 12 year old great granddaughter here for breakfast and cupcakes to go! She chose also cupcakes for her younger sisters at home! Lunch is also a great choice.... This place was a huge disappointment to my girl and me. Upon Arrival the young lady behind the counter did not greet us, but instead assumed we had been there before. When we asked questions about the menu, she was eager to point out the price suggesting we could not afford it. She took our order and then we discovered, we had to self serve our own drinks and silverware from a station on the wall. We had both ordered over easy eggs, hers with bacon, mine with sausage. When the food arrived, we noticed the eggs were not over easy, the toast was cold and hard as was the sausage. The total cost of the meal was $29 and some change. Not that I cared about the price, but with the service, bad food, and the self serve style, we will never be back. read more

They made the most delicious cake and cookies as I had ordered, but the real cherry on top was when Emma, of Sassy's Cafe and Bakery, went above and beyond to deliver the deliciousness to my friend for her birthday.
