I come here all the time because it's right by UNM and it's a perfect place to study off campus. I love the tea and sandwiches, they have a kitchen which isn't common among all Satellites around town. So their food isn't a frozen sandwich thrown into the oven. It's also a local chain and it's always good to support local! Only complaint minimal outlets for laptops and parking lot is small but that's expected so close to campus read more

Great place for wonderful coffee and espresso drinks. The plus about the location on university is that they make the food fresh. The other locations warm up thier burritos and sandwiches. Best time to come here and read is Saturday or Sunday mornings/ early afternoon. Week is pretty busy with hospital staff, students and patients. read more

Satellite Coffee is a great "not Starbucks" stop in Albuquerque. I learned from the gentleman working the register that they have quite a few locations across the city. Good coffee (I had an almond milk latte - something you still won't find at Starbucks, for whatever reason), good iced tea (I purchased a reusable iced cup and it came with a free serving of iced coffee or tea - win!), and good breakfast food (I had a wrap. Simple. Good. Not soggy.) Free, easy parking, like most places in Albuquerque. Lots of tables. From the number of folks with laptops, I would guess there's free WiFi as well. Good quick stop for a bite and your morning java fix. read more

I love the Turkish latte. It's made with cardemom, which is quite a lovely spice. It reminds me of Christmas...year 'round. The baked goods are always on point. I went one time and had the early bird breakfast burrito with turkey sausage. It was PHENOMENAL. Perfect amount of cheese..eggs...potatoes...everythang! Unfortunately I've never had that experience again. I've gotten it another 2 or 3 times hoping for the same magic and it's fallen flat. It's been 'ok' but very greasy..as in grease dripping from the bottom of the burrito :(. And at $7-8 for a burrito, I can get a better one elsewhere. I mean we are in New Mexico after all. This has become my favorite coffee shop near campus. It's a busy place, but not the busiest coffee place, like some of the others next to campus. This is nice because there is actually room to park and you don't have to wait for a table, even during their busy hours. It's the perfect setting a for a meeting and there's always table room if you need to spread out a bit to work on anything. I appreciate that it's more of the North Campus student crowd, rather than a ton of loud undergrads or table hogs that stay forever sipping a cup of coffee and never leave. I eat at this Satellite all the time! This café has plenty of tables and couches with wall outlets nearby, and it's a nice place to sit down and focus on your work. They also use the Thanks rewards app, which I would recommend to most businesses. When I come here, I typically order the Turkish latte ($4.25 for a tall) and a plain bagel with cream cheese ($1.50). I love coming to this Satellite location specifically! Their service is always fast and quality even when they are completely packed. Their menu is bigger than any other Satellite (at least that I've been to) and the food is quality food with a pretty large portion size. You can never go wrong with their artichoke havarti melt! I really want to emphasize how GREAT their employees are! Every time I walk in they are welcoming and friendly, and even if I sit at the end of the bar they engage in really nice and fun conversation while they work! Every here and there I will see that someone complains about their drink and the staff is always very accommodating to the customer and remakes their drink without thinking twice. I would highly suggest this Satellite for breakfast, brunch, a quick coffee, lunch, and dinner! read more

Oh, Caramel Dulce! Where have you been all my life?! This coffee joint is a local chain, with a terrific variety of coffees, teas, and espressos. If your palate is open to things better than StarbucksC chekc it out. They have deskish snacks, sweets, and breakfast or lunch items. If you're a froufrou drink fan, they have you covered. My newest obsession is the Caramel Dulce. It has the perfect balance of sweet, the right milk to coffee ratio, and we're madly in love. Service is quick and friendly, and the cups are eco friendly. Satalite Coffee offers a gluten free pastry called pumpkin scone. This is an important offering for me. Also, the Barista on University Blvd location will ask me if I want my cappuccino dry or wet. This is important to me because I cannot get a dry cappuccino at the big chain coffee bar. Lastly, i think it's important that the milk be not scalding. I guess I'm fussy. I am fussy because I opened a "coffee bar" before the name was used in 1981 in an AmtrakStation in-an east coast mid Atlantic city. read more

I've stopped in here every time I come to Albuquerque or Los Alamos for work. I spend at least an hour here before my plane leaves. As a frequent visitor of local coffee shops, I love traveling and discovering gems like Satellite coffee. Upon entering, you smell the light fragrance of coffees and herbal teas. The lighting is perfect for a good afternoon of productive work, i.e. no harsh fluorescents. Outlets line the window walls, and the acoustics make for the "white noise" atmosphere - just enough to stay focused. Baristas are friendly and helpful and there's a delicious selection of loose leaf teas. Satellite's beverage selection includes your typical coffee-shop musings, but also step out of the box a little to provide a turkish latté with cardamom and honey, or a horchata frio. I have yet to try it, but the "red stuff" tea sounds intriguing - iced cranberry juice and herbal tea... Their food offerings, are nothing short of incredible...especially for a coffee shop! Breakfast is served all day...and we're not talking your ordinary breakfast items. Get an energy boost from organic oats (vegan-friendly), or organic yogurt, or an omelet with spinach, tomato, and basil pesto. Or maybe a Croque monsieur is more your style with smoked ham and havarti on grilled brioche with a side of fresh grapes. Or for a quick grab, try the early bird graburitto with local turkey sausage, organic eggs, green chile, and pepper jack wrapped in a chewy tortilla. Don't worry if your friend or study partner doesn't want breakfast at 3 pm. Encourage them to scan the gourmet salads and sandwiches part of the menu for a delighted palate. Fresh mozzarella, spinach, walnuts, basil, tomato, vinaigrette, balsamic reduction, and pesto marinated artichokes top the light and fresh Italian salad. I loved this place! The decor was really cute and the location was nice--right by the University. I grabbed a latte--very nice and refreshing on the hot day--and the eastern veggie sandwich. This satellite coffee was super fast, efficient, and delicious! I ordered one of the graburritos, the one with egg, potatoes, green onion, and turkey sausage and omg! This burrito was heaven! The ingredients were perfectly distributed and the tortilla was delicious! The only reason I gave the location 4 stars was because I also got a cold brew which is a bit more on the bitter side even with the cream and sugar added. But still not a bad coffee. Stopped by randomly when we were driving through Albuquerque and Santa Fe for an early morning coffee run. The espresso drink menu was a bit unique so I went with a Turkish style latte which had cinnamon and cardamom in it. It was different (good different) and even though I don't usually drink lattes, I'd order it again. I didn't go for food, but it looked fantastic. OK, coffee is very important to me, as is supporting locally owned businesses. So when I have the chance to grab a Satellite coffee over a Starbucks I will always choose Satellite. As others have noted, this is a good campus coffee place that is not too close to main campus. The food is good, fresh, and the portions are right--even though it is a bit pricey. Had the "Greek street wrap" (can I just say that I'm just so over this calling everything "street" food; really, is this what people are eating on the streets of Athens? I doubt it). The wrap was flavorful, but $9+ for hummus, greens, feta, and artichokes in a tortilla seems excessive. The service, as always, was friendly and attentive. read more

My favorite is the "Straight to the Core." 3 shots of espresso deliciousness. :) This location, as with many of the other Satellite locations, has very attentive and friendly employees. Parking can be a bit challenging at this particular location, but if you wait for a short period of time, one usually becomes available. read more

I've had a tough time finding a good cappuccino in town, but the baristas here know how to do it right. I had the rabbit wrap, which was delicious.
