The food is delicious, and I love that it is all vegetarian! The staff were so friendly and helpful and let us try some of the dishes to decide what we wanted. Chicken curry with Roti - absolutely fabulous. Agree with the comments about the quality of their food. The shop itself is pretty small and primarily caters to takeout/delivery orders. A variety of dishes are on the hot bar for immediate service. I could not identify all of them but there were both meat and vegetarian options available. They offered me a fresh roti if I was willing to wait. (well worth it) The shop is cash only but very reasonably priced. read more

I found this spot on Yelp searching for nearby curry chicken which I had a craving for. I'm so glad that I did. This place is small but it packs a punch. I had the curry chicken with roti. I also got a side of spinach and pholourie. It was all delicious. The spinach was a tad bit salty but so good! Roti skin was perfect and complimented the meal very well. The two ladies who took care of me were so pleasant and welcoming. They answered my questions even gave me a sample because they were closing up shop. The most nastiest West Indian restaurants I've ever been too. I can understand if 1-2 dishes can be a little off with the taste, but all of them! Come on, why open a food place if your hands aren't blessed!? All the dishes look old, there's even a thin layer of dried crust right on top of every dish. Small portions with high prices, I guess they never heard of salt or spices because that's whats missing from every dish. The corn soup tastes like old sour water. I've gave the place more than 10 chances since its a block away from me. It fails me every single time! Not to mention the poularie which is full of oil and tastes very old. There's even a sign saying that they will charge you more based on your attitude; I asked about it and although some say its humor they simply replied 'it's a policy they go by". -1 star Please stay away from here! read more

Stopped here while driving back from JFK. Fresh , tasty roti. Had it with the curried potatoes, the okra and the spinach. All the vegetables looked great. Everything we had tasted freshly made. Only one table which wasn't available so we ate in the car. Definitely makes going back! read more

Food here is delicious and Trini style. Good cheap doubles and the meats are halal. Aloo pies are hit and miss but most other dishes have the right amount of pepper and seasoning. read more
