I've had Speer Bbq at the market over the years, this was my first time being to their brick & mortar location at the Country club. Arriving at 11am, this was the perfect brunch spot for us! It was quiet, and very child friendly. The dining area was clean, well decorated for the holidays and has a nice view of the golf course. I appreciated that they had standard high chairs for the little one, easy to clean and kept her contained so I could eat my food. The owners and staff were friendly, and provided a positive experience. I ordered the chipotle burrito bowl, which is a breakfast burrito bowl. All of the ingredients were fresh, and delicious. It was the perfect portion amount for lunch. I'd reccomend heading here for your next family outing, or even a business meeting.

Great event with great food! We came for the Mother's Day celebration and boy was it busy. However they warned us in advance that food would take +45 minute so we were prepared to wait and have some drinks while we waited. They had the cutest decorative table set up for Mother's Day including fresh fruit, adorable cups and even free popcorn. All The food came out fresh and very good. They do need to figure out the outdoor umbrellas ... the wing kicked in and fell on a group of ladies (luckily no one was hurt) .

Ok, this update is loooong overdue! Speer BBQ has been consistently awesome I'm not only their food, but customer service! Not only are they still at the weekly Tracy framers market, they also have now opened a location at the Tracy golf course. They continue to expand their menu while keeping some of the staples that everyone loves! We love going to the golf course location since there is wonderful indoor and outdoor seating (with shade, heat lamps, games, etc) with great views as well as some menu items you can't get at the farmers market. All of the sauces are housed made and taste amazingly delicious with all of their items they serve. We will continue to support this local family owned business with ono grindz and great service... and now at an awesome location we can stop by during the week or for brunch also!

Burgers were excellent and cooked just like we asked. Fries were hot and crispy. They had outdoor seating and live music which was fun and we got to play cornhole while we waited for our food. Just a fun atmosphere.

The Bbq is off the chain moist. The sides like onion ring are great. I had the 3 meat combo and it was tremendous. Girl friend had the Jamin hamburger and it was wonderful. Service was fast and it is a nice b Clubhouse on the golf course.

I went to the farmers market in Tracy and tried Speer bbq. I ordered the chicken sandwich, it had lettuce, onions, cheese, bacon and crispy onions. Very filling! It was so good, I recommend you to try it out

    BBQ Wrap with Tri-tip

This family joint is just amazing. The food is delicious and the service is great. It's so refreshing to see a family owned business work hard and enjoy what they do. The location of the restaurant is a bit off the beaten path but worth the drive. I also wish they were open a bit later but maybe they're only open when the golf course is open (?). I'll definitely be back. Keep up the great work Speer family!

Pulled Pork Nachos were amazing. Large enough for 2-4 people.

I can't believe no one has written about this little food stand!…read more My fiance and I paid a visit to the vet this Saturday and were heading to Costco. We saw that a small Farmer's Market was going on in the Bishop Ranch complex #3 (adjacent to GE Software's lot). Since we needed vegetables that Costco probably wouldn't have (or have in the mega Duggar family pack), we decided to make a quick detour into this small farmer's market. Man, are we glad we did. I mean this FM is much, much smaller than the one we went to in Pleasanton. But at the end of the rows of vegetable and other stalls was this delicious aroma of grilled food. Since we hadn't eaten lunch and Costco food was NOT a healthy option, we decided to take a peek at Gorgeous Gorilla. While I don't want to make a definitive statement about the ethnic origin of the food, my guess is either Jamaican or (generically) Caribbean. They had Jerk chicken, Oxtail, shrimp, and grilled salmon. Also they serve their plate meals with red beans and rice. Oh snap, I love red beans and rice! And best of all: fried plantains. They also serve it with a small side of a fruit salad which is heavy on the mangos. Nice. We also ordered a positively awesome strawberry fruit drink which we know used fresh strawberries from a vendor down the row of veggie stands. We saw him deliver two boxes of strawberries while we ate lunch. We shared a jerk chicken plate and that was enough for us because we didn't want to fill up too much before shopping. The flavors were AMAZING on every part of the meal, esp the chicken. while I've had much spicier jerk chicken in the past, this one was one I'd consider a very mild jerk flavor. Maybe if I ask for what the locals would eat would they turn it up a notch. They let me know that they are there every Thursday in the same lot, so I'm going to make another trip next week as this Thursday I won't be in the area. But for now, here's some pics to whet your appetite!

Mother's Day dinner was a pure shit show with this place. We…read moreknew it'd be busy so we ordered "to go" from the app. First issue: the app does not take orders over $125. We're a big family so I ended up splitting it into 3 orders. Second issue: because I split the order, an item 3 members wanted kept going out of stock. The prime rib 16oz then the 14oz then the 12oz (only 2 of the 3 went thru on the order). Third issue: I went a few minutes just before the "scheduled" pickup time to pay the orders (app only took Apple Pay, giftcard, or pay at pickup). At this point I haven't gotten a call or text about my order. It's my turn up to the counter ("to go" pickup is outside) and ask about any possible available prime rib and she says they're out. I figure ok at least we got the 2 for the to-go order. I informed her that I have 3 to-go orders from the app. She goes to check on the orders and returns to inform me that they are COMPLETELY out of prime rib and had cancelled them from one of the orders. So basically 2 family members weren't getting dinner. ME being one of them. On mf MOTHER'S DAY! I kept my cool and proceeded to order dinner replacements. At this point we were 20min past the "scheduled" pickup time of 7:45pm and the orders still weren't ready. I asked the gal if I had ordered in the morning for pickup for dinner, would that have guaranteed the prime rib? She flat out said "Nope. We run out whenever we run out." Basically the app does not match up to their inventory and they don't hold anything for online/app orders. It's all first-come-first-served regardless of when you order. In other words the app is useless. Fourth issue: It seemed we had finally gotten the orders straight. All combined orders totaled over $300. I asked if I could get a discount since they cancelled part of my order without letting me know. They gave me my $12 appetizer free. I asked if I could get 10% off since the replacement dinners were more. About another $10 off. I thought whatever $22 off and still paid over $300 combined. Fifth issue: I asked how long for the order with the replacement steaks and she said should be quick about 20-30min. That seemed quick for how busy they were. So I waited. Not that I had a choice. 45 MINUTES LATER... Our food is finally ready and I'm still composed. I am at the counter and get the 3 huge bags. I start looking through them to try and make sure I have everything cause again it was multiple orders and I live 25-30min away. It was 9pm and so I'm trying to quickly go through the bags. Half the containers are soggy and cold. I think these might have been ready when I got there, but they're wanted me to wait until everything was ready. During the chaos the gal behind the counter asks me to move over cause they're backed up so she can help the next person. I tell her "I waited. They can wait." The lighting outside sucks. I can barely make out what's in each container. She again tells me to move to the side. I'm annoyed at this point and say "Ma'am I'll move when I'm ready." She calls over some shift mgr and tells her I won't move. That B of a mgr slams the window shut. At that point I was like F it. There's not enough room or light for me to check everything so I leave. Last issue: of course a bunch of sides are missing and some made incorrectly. By the time we tally up the damage the place was closed and no one is answering the phone. Cold, soggy food. Unhappy family. And a pissed off mom... on Mother's Day. I usually genuinely like Texas Roadhouse. Food is good. Service is ok, but yesterday they were crap through and through. Going today to get a refund of all the missing sides and extras that we never got.
