Absolutely love Sauce on the Blue. We stop in occasionally on a cold night for dinner and the place is always hoppin. Locals know its one of the best spots in town. The service is always great. Our waitress last week was spectacular and we chatted all about her ukranian roots. She made us feel very welcomed and was very attentive. Highly recommend sitting at the bar while you wait. They make great cocktails and the bar design is super cool and nicely lit. Once we sat down for dinner we had the fried artichokes and bruschetta and kale salad. The artichoke portion was huge and the kale salad is one of our go to dishes. Lemony and delicious. For mains we had the fish and two pastas. I had the linguine fra diavola which was great. Nice kick of spice and the shrimp were cooked perfectly. If you don't like spicy the dish isn't for you. All the more for me. Will be back very soon. read more

While enjoying a ski vacation, we decided to give Sauce on the Blue a try. The moment we walked in we felt the cozy, charming ambiance. You can order family size portions which is perfect when you are trying to feed 3 teenage boys! Linguine alla Pescatore was the family favorite with not a single noodle left to spare! The Calamari Fritti was a much larger portion than expected and delicious! Outside there are several private yurts that can be reserved for dining that look adorable! We will be making reservations for one of those next time. The server did mention there is a food and beverage minimum of $300 for anyone wanting the same experience! Definitely glad we listened to everyone's recommendations to dine at Sauce on the Blue while on our weekend getaway! We made reservations and am happy we did as this place was hoppin when we arrived and seemed to have quite the wait! You could be seated out in the patio area or inside and we opted for Indoors. Once seated, it did take almost 10 minutes for anyone to come to our table. They were very busy, and once we did have a server she was great and attentive. We ordered our drinks and calamari appetizer right away and those all came out quickly. Loved the calamari it was delicious! I ordered the chicken marsala, our child ordered the salmon and mashed potatoes kids dinner and the hubby ordered a spicy linguini with scallops and mussels dish. Came here for a drink on a summer Thursday with some friends. The wether was super nice so we selected to sit outside on the patio. Both inside and outside are super welcoming and you get a very cozy/family vibe from the staff (everyone helping everyone). What can I say that hasn't already been said. Outstanding! Came for my birthday lunch and wasn't disappointed. Both meals for my wife and I were plentiful and delicious. Plenty of left overs for take home. The only thing that kinda bummed me was they didn't bring us any bread, which is usually a staple at most Italian restaurants. I did get a free birthday dessert however, which was excellent! The place is much smaller than I thought, so I would recommend reservations if it's at night during ski season. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Sauce on the Blue. It was Christmas Eve and very busy but we were able to snag a couple seats at the bar. The bartenders were amazing! They were very engaging and gave us recommendations on the menu. The wine list was very extensive but had a nice range of options for every price point. Our dinner was incredible, very fresh and flavorful. We finished with their tiramisu and it was mouthwatering. The atmosphere was very pleasant and we enjoyed looking at the impressive bar shelving. My husband: if it were socially acceptable I would be licking this plate right now. Everything was so good- the food, the atmosphere, the service. Alex, our server, was great- quick, friendly, hit all the right notes. We were torn between sitting inside or outside- the inside had a mix of wood and colorless stained glass and chandeliers that was a gorgeous juxtaposition between upscale and rustic. We sat outside next to a stream, which was gorgeous. The bruschetta was the only thing I don't think I'd get again- I prefer my bread softer rather than super crusty, although the balsamic vinegar reduction was so good! I think I'd try the garlic bread next time instead. We shared the Gorgonzola penne, which was so tasty. Lots of flavors- the Gorgonzola added a nice bite to the sauce, and there was fresh spinach and garlic chunks floating among the penne. And they could do it gluten free if you needed! We also had the sangria, which was a mix of white wines and light fruit juices. Really nice first thing in the morning. We shared the new and old world red wine flight, and really enjoyed the Carmenere wine from Chile- it had an interesting mix of savory and sweet notes- the pepper, coffee, and Tabacco were immediately apparent. The tiramisu was fabulous too- heavy on the espresso to cut the sweetness, great balance of cream and pastry. Made in house and so worth saving room! We have eaten here numerous times and it has been great except for tonight. We decided to order to go and made the mistake of ordering from the Breckenridge Sauce. When my husband walked in to pick up the order we noticed I made the mistake of ordering from the wrong location. The hostess didn't offer to help and told us him "sorry, nothing we can do". I called the Sauce On The Maggie and they offered to transfer the ticket immediately, I didn't even have to ask. We went back to pick up our order and the hostess was rude again excusing her behavior even after I explained how easy it was for the Maggie to transfer our order. She went to the waitress standing nearby and said something to her, clearly about me, and then walked off. It was my error but I would have appreciated a little effort on transferring the order considering it's the same restaurant. I would have been happy to wait until she had a chance to check on options for us instead of saying sorry, and sending him out the door. I won't be back to this location. read more

We stopped off at Sauce on the Blue for a quick bit before heading further west for a weekend getaway. It was the perfect location. We sat outside on the very large patio over looking a walk/run path, right along the creek. If the sights weren't enough the expressive wine list and delicious pizza will win you over. We ordered the roasted brussel sprouts which I could ha e done without the cheese on them snd the sauce that accompanied the dish was delicious but felt odd with the balsamic that was drizzled on the sprouts. We also got a 10" pizza which was perfect for not having leftovers. I did feel like the toppings and sauce weren't evenly distributed on the whole pizza but was delicious. Terrible example of an Italian restaurant. Side salads were not fresh, had been pre-prepared and stored in the fridge. Then the salad was drowned in dressing. Bread was good, but dipping sauce was about 1 cup of olive oil and some herbs which could not even be tasted. Ordered spaghetti for $28 and received pasta that was hard and not cooked enough, with 2 meat balls that were large but tasted mostly of "fill," and the marinara was tasteless!! Only reason I am not giving five stars is because of our server Angela. She didn't check in on us once or ask how our food/if we wanted anything else. Sauce has been great 2x in a row for us. Portions are large. A 4-person Family Style Bowl is perfect for our family of four people. The Rigatoni with Sausage is incredible! Something about their sauce. Bourbon list goes on for pages, literally. Wine list is curated perfectly. Our server was very good. The space is built out perfect. Very open and hip. Outside seating is next to the river. Would definitely return! Just wish they'd expand and make Sauce on the Beach in California! Or Sauce in the Vineyard. read more

When I made the reservation for eight which included a baby and young children, I was told that we would be seated inside unless we wanted to be seated outside. When we arrived, we were told that we were to be seated outside and it was not heated. It turned out to be very cold and we all had to put on coats and our server seemed to forget about us so service was poor. read more

For appetizers we ordered Brussels and eggplant tower, and while all my friends liked them both, I thought tomatoes used for the eggplant tower were too sour.
