$7 whiskey specials are the deal! Sauced is a BBQ restaurant that just happens to have an axe throwing area in the back. That's a good place to chop off all the extra in my stomach after eating. It has a large bar area with a ton of TVs and also a decent amount of TVs in their main dining rooms and also another outdoor bar that they service on busy days. Sauced has sandwiches, burgers, turkey legs, chili, stuffed baked potatoes and of course BBQ. For BBQ they have ribs, wings, a half chicken, jalapeno cheddar sausage, brisket, brisket burnt ends, pork burnt ends, and pulled pork. I got a three meat combo and also picked off of burnt ends from my friend. BBQ Pork Ribs - The combo gives you four ribs. It has a nice pink smoke ring to it and I could taste the smoked flavor. The ribs were tender, not fall off the bone tender and have good flavor without any BBQ sauce. Brisket - The beef brisket was a little drier and harder than I usually like it. It was not tough, just a little dry. Had a good bark to it and a barely visible pink smoke ring. The smoked in flavor was not as intense as the ribs. The brisket was okay. I would easily eat it again but it's not dream worthy. j Brisket Burnt Ends - These were very tender with good marbling. The bark on these didn't have any crunch, I'm wondering if that's because they were pre-cut and or if they were just stored in a steamer tray. Dense flavor, tender and moist, these were a win. Jalapeno Cheddar Sausage - This was super tasty. You get one long link that is blackened from grilling. I loved the sausage. Half Chicken - If you really want bang for your buck, get the chicken and they'll give you a legit half chicken that you can share with the family. Comparing that half chicken with my one sausage link was pretty funny. The chicken was juicy and tender but didn't have much smoked in flavor. There's the trade off. Cornbread - A large square that has a molasses colored glaze on the outside and is sweet. This was good. Mac 'n" Cheese - Nice and cheese and not soupy which is always a plus but the mac was a bit overcooked and kind of mushy. I'd probably pass on this next time. Swamp Fries - These is an enormous plate of waffle fries that are smothered and covered with baked beans, brisket, queso, BBQ sauce, it's a lot, it's saucy and it's good. But you really need to split this with 4-6 people. Two people cannot do this, unless this is the only thing you are eating all night. $7 Whiskey of the Night - The best drink deal is the featured whiskey of the night. I got a whiskey sour (w/ egg white) for mine and that was a steal. Other mixed drinks are $12-$15. They feature a different whiskey every night. Axe Throwing - It's $15 per person for 30 minutes, $30 for one hour. They have very short lanes so they only allow one armed throwing, no two hand throws. It's fun if you are with a group and just want to do it for a short bit, but if you really want to do a dedicated night of axe throwing, I still prefer longer lanes and two and two hand over throws. The throwing area feels very crammed, you kind of have to throw, go out, go behind the wall and then enter the cage again to throw. Service for our food was good, our server helped us navigate the menu well. We have never sat in the main dining area before and was always at the bar but let me tell you the service was awesome!! I wish I can remember who the server and food runner was Saturday night around 6p, for a manager who may know they were all amazing!! I think the manager also came in to check on tables that evening and really appreciate someone proactive to care about their guests!! It's not a downside, it's just something to note as I do find it makes throwing more difficult. * There are different types of axes as each will give you a different type of feel and throw. * They'll teach your group how to throw, but the teaching is limited. They will teach you how to throw straight (the normal way) and can be a little reluctant to show you other methods (ex: 2-handed throw or lasso or underhand throw). I tried other ways to throw (since I knew how) when they weren't looking, haha. * 6 people per lane The food: * LOVE their bbq selection. If you order the bbq plates, the highlights are the jalapeno cheese sausage, jalapeno cheese grits, and the burnt brisket ends. When I first starting going here in 2022, the food was amazing! Fast forward to 2025 and a lot has changed. The food isn't what it once was, went and got some old cold brisket. For the price of the meal, you'd think you'd get better than some old meat. After waving her down to get her attention from her phone and friends, we asked for a knife because the meat was tough. she left to get it and never came back with it so had to ask someone else. Coworker ordered a refill and she didn't ask anyone else if they needed anything and just walked off. Had to go to the bar instead for a refill. Down to having to ask to pay my bill at the bar because she literally never came back. She stood around 3-4 girls, on her phone and couldn't be bothered by us. If it wasn't for the bartender I would have left no tip. Food was ok to me, but coworkers didn't like theirs. Too much fat on meat and too tough. Skip this place unless you want to be trying to track down a waitresses attention away from her friends and phone who are 15 feet away from you. Restaurant itself has nice decor, seemed clean.
