I had some free time in the OC and perused various activities to fill out one of my days, and found a great deal for this escape room and thought why not? First escape room in SoCal. It's easy to get to and the parking spaces were pretty much empty. The entrance was a little weird since it looks like the backside of some abandoned department store, but it was fine when we made it inside and sat on some comfy chairs while waiting for the game to be ready. Our game master was William, who was super chill and took many great photos at the end (perhaps an aspiring photographer?). Our start time was slightly delayed but as a consolation, we got a little extra time to escape which made our day since we were right there at the end. We did the western themed escape room, which was pleasantly very fun for us, especially after the in-character intro. It was my first time being locked in at the beginning! The theming and props were well thought out and convincing. William was very responsive as we played and needed help, and despite a couple of puzzles being a little mechanically off, we more or less figured our way out. I don't think the puzzles were too hard, and can be solved by any group (though perhaps a little more on the easier side, if I had to pick) - the puzzles mainly involved doing what made sense upon seeing the cues - pretty intuitive. We're very happy with our experience here, especially with William getting us through, and can't wait to explore more of these activities the next time we drive down!

Came here for the escape room, and we escaped! The GM was super nice, and since we wanted more of a challenge, she said she'd limit us to three hints. In the end, we only needed one hint and still made it out with some time to spare. It was a great room and very immersive. The puzzles were really well designed. They seemed simple once you realized what you had to do, but they also had a bit of complexity to them while you were still figuring out the bits and pieces. Sometimes, overthinking things definitely doesn't help, since we had a bit of that, but we made it in the end! Overall, it was a really fun experience and a great challenge.

recently visited Brainy Actz and it was such a fun, different experience from the usual night out. They have so many options all in one place which makes it perfect for groups with different vibes. From their immersive escape rooms to the rage rooms and their new blackout experience, there's something for every comfort level. We personally did the splatter paint room and it was honestly the highlight. You suit up, grab your paint, and just go for it. It's messy, chaotic, creative, and way more therapeutic than you expect. Running around, throwing paint, and leaving with a canvas you actually made makes it feel like more than just an activity. It feels like a memory you get to take home. The staff was friendly and explained everything clearly before we started. The space felt organized and safe, even with all the chaos going on. I also love that you can easily turn this into a date night, girls night, birthday, or team outing without having to plan multiple stops. If you're in OC and want something interactive instead of just dinner, this is such a fun option. Definitely coming back to try the blackout experience next.

Where do I even begin, this place is downright horrible, horrible, HORRIBLE!!! I sure wish I would have seen the reviews before coming. I am usually good about these things but I dropped the ball in not seeing the reviews. I visited with my hubby & a couple of friends after seeing they had a pumpkin rage room. We were all so excited to book this experience to smash some pumpkins. That is the purpose why we booked this to begin with, however on the day of our scheduled appointment we were told they ran out of pumpkins. WTH! We drove out from Whittier for this & to be told they ran out of pumpkins when that is what we paid for is downright upsetting. Nevertheless we decided to move forward & in doing so we realized the protective equipment this place provides fails to protect. Most of the headgear is broken & so the use of both arms is unfeasible since one hand had to be used to keep the headgear in place & the suits almost all had broken zippers therefore shards of glass flying around after being broken posed a risk to all of us since they easy could have gotten on our clothing since the suits provided don't protect anyone due to the zipper not being able to be zipped closed. Also it looked like they do not clean their equipment so upon leaving we felt gross. Also another thing I want to note is that the floor was all wet & no sign was posted anywhere! If any of us were to have fallen that would lead to a lawsuit & with no wet floor sign in site we likely could win. No a/c it seems too & we got uncomfortably hot. How this place is still operating is beyond me. I have requested a refund for this awful experience & I hope I get one.

This place was 10/10 for me, my best friend, and my family! I booked a paint splatter room but I booked at the Temecula location and got them mixed up somehow. When we got to the Tustin location and realized the mistake, the clerk and the manager were super cool and let us change the location and reserve the room for the same time. It was a lot of fun for us and way less expensive than other rooms I had seen in SoCal.

I love escape rooms so I'm always excited going to one. I got to the Mystery of the Lost Point Lodge and went in 3 people total and can go up to max 6 people in my opinion. Would say medium level is doable with hints from them. Variety puzzles and locks you need to break. Cool experience!

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Brainy Actz for a paint splatter experience, and I can't praise Avery enough! From the moment we walked in, her friendly demeanor made us feel excited for our session. Avery's enthusiasm was contagious, considering I had just gotten a speeding ticket before arriving and I was feeling pretty bleh! She definitely helped me forget about the hefty fine that was going to be coming in the mail in about two weeks! It was a fun and different experience than your average date activity and we will definitely be back to give the rage room a try! Hopefully without the speeding ticket this time!

I recently booked a birthday party at Rage Paint Room for our son's 10th birthday. We don't usually go all out for birthdays, so we were truly looking forward to making this one special for him. I want to start by saying the staff members the day of were incredibly helpful and kind. To be honest they were the best part of the entire experience. Unfortunately, everything else was extremely disappointing. We paid extra to upgrade the paint guns, expecting something high quality, but they were very cheap and not at all what we anticipated. On top of that, we ran out of paint within the first 30 minutes, which left the kids with very little to do for the remainder of the party and they did not make it the full hour to paint. For the amount of money we spent, this was incredibly frustrating. When we arrived, it didn't feel like anything was properly prepared or ready for us. We had 10 kids and not enough easels for the to paint on. The party room itself was messy and unclean. There were exposed wires all over, tables were dirty, back section was a storage, not bought paper towels for clear up and Christmas trash left around the space. It did not feel safe or welcoming for a group of children. Who were so bored out of their mind they would rather hang out in the parking lot. We left early and we had no canvas to take home. They were not prepared for us. There was also nothing set up for the kids to do outside of the paint activity, and they couldn't really run around or enjoy themselves in the space. It ended up being more work and stress than fun. We didn't even stay for the full time we paid for because there simply wasn't enough to keep the kids engaged. I also completed the survey afterward, hoping someone would reach out so I wouldn't have to leave a public review. but I have not heard back from anyone. At this point, I am fed up and very upset. The concept is great, and we were genuinely excited about the experience, but the execution was unorganized, poorly prepared, and absolutely not worth the price. We are very disappointed and will not be returning. Given how the party turned out, we believe a refund of at least half of what we paid would be fair.

Absolutely disappointing. We were trying to book online and it said "call to make an appointment" and so we did. We told her we would be there at 4:30, we arrived at 4:25 and tell me why no one picked up the damn phone. The laptop inside was on. But no one to be seen. It's super unprofessional. We called about 8-9 times because I had a friend coming to visit from San Francisco . Don't be running a business if you guys can't even commit, or even damn answer the damn phone. That's absolutely unprofessional and unacceptable. Save your time and go elsewhere.

For me it was worth the price (especially at discount) as it was different from your typical OC activities, but still fun all the same. I don't recommend it for team building if you're any kind of competitive cause I was super annoyed that my husband kept stepping on lava :P Honestly, dollar for dollar it's a better deal and MUCH more interactive than bowling and mini-golf. It was five adults total--my mom wasn't able to play since she's disabled, but the staff was really accommodating, and we just left the door open so she could sit and watch us play, which worked out perfectly. The games were really fun, and the customer service was great--super friendly and helpful! We had previously tried Activate (which is similar), and I'd say we actually prefer the grid-style game at Activate since it feels more competitive. With RGB Run, the game started to feel a little repetitive after about 30 minutes, so I think it's more geared toward a shorter, one-session experience rather than a full hour. The main reason we chose RGB Run was because they offer private rooms, which is a huge plus. I didn't realize, though, that you're limited to just one style of game when booking, so I was a little disappointed they didn't have the specific game I had hoped for. That said, we still had a really fun time and I'd definitely recommend it for groups who want a private experience. Overall, a really enjoyable spot for something different to do with family or friends. I'd give it 4 stars--mainly because of the limited game options--but everything else (especially the service) was great!

Parking is free, and there are plenty of spaces when their isn't other events or services going on at the same location. My first visit was for a family kid's birthday party, and we were all pleasantly surprised. The party itself was organized well and had its own area inside one of the buildings. We had our own area decorated (you can bring your own decorations, too), and the food was fantastic for amusement park food. We had pizza, turkey sandwiches, chicken tenders, soda, and punch. We had about an hour for lunch before being released to enjoy the rest of the park. Many of the staff were kind during the party and throughout the park and made the experience that much nicer. The variety of rides here will please most young kids and adults. There are a couple of roller coasters, a carousel, a train that circles once around the park, and many more rides. I'm surprised how much they fit into the park space. There is also an arcade and a petting zoo. For food in the park, you have the standard burgers, pizza, tenders, pretzels, churros, ICEE, ice cream, and more. The prices aren't too bad either. Plenty of snacks and merch to purchase, too. There are also plenty of places to sit and relax, with shaded areas. Especially needed during a warm SoCal day. It was the first time for many guests in our party, and everyone enjoyed the experience. Many of the kids want to go back and have their birthday parties here next year, too.

The concept is fun, and it's a cool way to try something different. However, the experience itself is very short. You choose a few colors, create your artwork, and before you know it, it's over. It's entertaining and makes for great photos, but I expected a little more considering the cost. My biggest disappointment came after the experience. Once you're finished, the staff takes the canvases to dry and prepare for pickup, so you don't see them again until you return to collect them. When we picked up our two pieces, we noticed small pieces of balloon stuck to the artwork. Unfortunately, when we carefully removed them, they left behind marks and imperfections on the finished pieces. Overall, I'm glad I tried it because it was a fun and unique experience, and I can see why it's popular on social media. That said, between the price point, the short duration, and the condition of our finished canvases, it's not something I would personally do again. Still, if you're looking for a creative outing and want to try something different at least once, it may be worth checking out.

Cost $10/vehicle. Once you enter, there is a visitor counter, Nursing room for newbies feeding, restrooms on the right (that's important), Race cars, drag racing, dinosaurs, frontier adventure ............. and a lot more. There are mixed reviews and that's fine, it's a children's type of interactive museum. Adults will be bored if they are looking for a theme park experience or activities. That's a fact, not fiction. So enjoy it with the children and join in their interactivity. It's called bonding :) Highly recommend for first timers. Recommend to grandparents since it brings a secure environment for young children. With staff all around watching, no child will be left alone or wander off.
