I'm glad Sauced is in KC. This black owned restaurant is making a menu that is undeniably delicious. Whatever you get, make sure to add the sassy sauce. You can thank me later but this sweet/tangy sauce is finger licking good. Ordered the two-handed burger and my goodness these Smash patties were fried to perfection. Also tried the wings and added the sassy sauce. These wings were fried hard just the way I like them and extra saucy!! This restaurant is located in a courtyard off of 19th and Main. If you're headed north on Main you would make a right on 19th street and it sits behind the gated courtyard. You can't miss the trailer with "sauced" on the front. I love unique spots like this that aren't your traditional brick + mortar. There is a bit of a wait for the food as everything is made to order which is preferred in my opinion. The food is fresh and piping hot. Off street parking is available but I would take the street car if possible. Plenty of seating in the courtyard for you to eat and enjoy your food. We happened upon this downtown gem and were not disappointed! This hidden little outdoor pop up has everything I need in a burger - heft, grease and fixins. The service is quick and efficient, fries hot and the sauce is phenomenal. There's spacious seating, hanging egg style chairs and an overall harmonious vibe. The KC loaded is one of the best burgers in KC. I love meat I can barely get my hands and mouth around. 100 percent recommend. There's generally a line (worth it!), but it moves fast. I've been following Sauced on Instagram since their grand opening in October and after two months of dying to try it, I finally was able to stop by. Their hours had not been the most convenient as they aren't open all day, but they have slowly expanded their hours to include most lunch and dinner times. I ordered the two hand burger with an order of seasoned fries. It was definitely the best burger I've had in KC! The flavor was great and I love a thicker patty. You have to grab the sassy sauce and house sauce for dipping your fries. The buttermilk chicken sandwich also looked great, so I'll be back in the near future to give that a shot! read more

Solid burger joint. The burgers are dense, to the point where it's hard for me to include any side with it because it's so much. Not a bad thing! Kind of too greasy for me, which adds to the heaviness of the burger. The flavor behind the meat it is rich; the accompanied dressings help bring that out even more. They don't have a large menu, and unless you're walking around the area or can find parking close by, it is a hassle to get to. All in all, a good place for a big burger. read more

We were super excited to try this place out and left feeling underwhelmed. We ordered 2 burgers and fries and ended up having to wait almost 25 minutes when there were only a few other people ordering at the same time. We ended up feeling rushed to eat since we did not expect it to take so long. My husband liked his burger but mine was a little over cooked and dry. Cool seating arrangement, nice small shack that they operate out of it. I got the Cajun Buttermilk chicken sandwich with seasoned fries. I have to tell you all, I've traveled internationally touring in bands for many years, and this sandwich was by far the best chicken sandwich I've ever had. The breading on the dark meat was fantastic, fried perfectly placed between a toasted bun. The breading and the meat itself was booming with flavor, and the aioli they used to go with it was something else. Not sure if it was the same garlic aioli they use for their Blackened chicken sandwich, but every bite made me feel happy to be alive! And a sandwich like this coming out of my city? You mean I don't have to wait till the next time I tour somewhere else to eat here? Yessss! The fries were pretty good, a standard cut fry with a Cajun type of seasoning. But it was the ketchup that took me by surprise. It's almost perfect blend of ketchup and sweet and sour sauce. It's absolutely fantastic, my dudes and dudettes! Complement this condiment with the seasoning and you get this crazy sweet, sour, spicy madness that leaves your mind blown. Chef Jay did phenomenal work here with this menu so far, and I'm most definitely coming back to try out more of this menu ASAP! I'd go 4.5 on this spot. Food: - I got the double cheese burger, think it's called "two handed" - it was incredible. The bun is perfect, slightly sweet and lightly toasted and buttered or something. The meat was juicy and salty and the veggies were fresh and crunchy. The aioli and melted cheese (I got American) blended everything together. WOW - Fries. Season fries are their thing. I didn't love these. They were "good" but not great. Needed a little more crisp and the seasoning they used was strong but lacked salt in my opinion. - Drinks are limited. They only offered Sprite, Coke and bottled water. Service and location: Service was ok. Dudes were nice but for only a few customers there it took a while to get the food. If things like we experienced were normal and the line was long I'd estimate you'd easily wait 30min or more. The outdoor seating and spot is really sweet. Lots of tables and they had cool custom standing tables to eat and go. Wouldn't be as comfortable in the rain though there is covered seating. I'll be back. Definitely good and contends with some of the best KC burgers I've had (I like Beer Kitchen, Pigwich, Flea Market etc. as well). read more

The hamburger is juicy, flavorful, fresh and delicious. My daughter could not stop raving about her chicken sandwich (and she is a bit picky). Things to know: Park in the parking garage for the office building on the north east corner of the intersection - the food truck is out the back door. If the weather is nice, there are lovely tables. Lots of space. They serve house made ketchup. It is delicious. If you are a hard core fan of the bottled stuff, bring your own packets. Bring some hand wipes, the food is a little messy (in the best way possible), and you will want to wash your hands before driving home. This is a FOOD TRUCK. Do not expect full restaurant amenities, but if you can be just a tiny bit flexibile about those things, you will be rewarded with super tasty burgers and chicken sandwiches. Tried Sauced today for lunch. Had the blackened chicken sandwich and side of fries. The chicken was well cooked and juicy, but the sandwich was soggy all the way through due to what I assume was the aioli (aioli shouldn't be runny). I basically discarded the mushy wet bun and ate the chicken. I think it was supposed to have a slaw and tomato on there but either were so scant I didn't even realize it until looking at the menu again for this review. Fries were overdone but had a nice cajun spice on them. Overall I am giving this spot 3 stars. Great concept in a little downtown alcove behind the bank and the menu definitely has potential, but execution is definitely lacking. ordering was also awkward as I just kind of got stared at (as opposed to greeted) and got the sense I was interrupting a conversation when I started placing my order. Granted, face masks make communication more nuanced, but the interaction felt a little odd. I will visit again to give it another shot and may update the rating if things improve. read more

I was super looking forward to finally trying this spot but we got there and the one person cooking was going through it /: There was 3 of us waiting for 5-10 minutes (the others maybe longer) and when the person cooking finally looked up, they asked one person if they were picking up and they said no they wanted to order, and the cook literally goes "I can't take your order right now" in a really stressed tone. It was super hectic and also disappointing but I mostly feel bad because the cook seemed so so so overwhelmed ): Anyways-my boyfriend has had it delivered and had good things to say! Visited on a Friday evening, fully expecting there to be a small crowd and there was no line. I imagine they stay very busy during the weekday lunch hours. The wait for our order took a little longer than expected. I had the two hand burger with American cheese and seasoned fries. My other guests had wings with Buffalo sauce. The burger was phenomenal. Juicy, but not too greasy, a soft bun that doesn't dissolve under the hot beef and cheese, perfect blend and volume of condiments. At $8.75 it felt like a steal for the quality. The fry seasoning was excellent, not too salty. The quantity of fries is enough to share between 2 people. The sassy sauce (house ketchup) served with the fries was delicious! The wing sauce was flavorful without being too spicy. The wing size was inconsistent though, some were nice and meaty and some were pretty tiny and surprised they would be served. The drink selection was slim - Coke, Sprite, water. I would recommend bringing your own soda or preferred bev in a tumbler. Clean outdoor tables and I think there's some overhead hanging lighting but we were there during daylight. Staff was very friendly. read more

Gonna just come out and say it, get the "Two Handed" no matter how hungry you think you are. It is delicious. The patties had the perfect crust and was seasoned to perfection. I am a huge burger person and ordered a single burger with everything on it, and a porta bella mushroom, and it was amazing. The best burger I have had in KC for the price it was.
