The flavor was definitely there--the buffalo sauce had a nice kick, and the seasoning was on point. My only downside was the texture of the wings. They were a bit too heavily breaded for my taste, which made them a little soggy instead of crispy. If they had a lighter coating and more crunch, they would have been even better. Good sized wings and a variety of flavors. The staff is also very kind and the interior space has many tables for dining in. I was hoping to try several sauces but the only way to try more than two is to go with multiple people, as they don't offer sauces on the side or half and half on the smaller platter. I stopped by Wings Cafe for a to-go order and got the 6 piece traditional buffalo wings. The buffalo sauce had a really great flavor with just a small amount of heat, and my only complaint is that I wish there had been a little more of it. The wings were a little soggy, but I was also late picking up my order, so I think that's more on me than the restaurant. Overall, the wings were meaty, flavorful, and juicy. I came back to check and see if things have changed for the good or bad. The environment of the restaurant has definitely been upgraded and changed. It's small and clean neat. I like the bar stool situation definitely and it looks like they may have beer on tap. There is more seating than before and it seems more open and bright. There is a lady that helps you as soon as soon as you enter it is a bit of a wait since everything is cooked to order. I would definitely say they deserve a 10 out of 10... we were really looking foward to this place because we really enjoy wings! But to be honest it was lacking a lot. First of all, the prices were super expensive. For 12 wings and a side it was $22 and for 3 chicken tenders $10. So i was expecting it to be super tasty but neither of us liked the taste of our wings or the salad. The lettuce tasted old and the dressing wasn't great either. We did like the inside thought, it was super modern and cool looking! These were absolutely the best wings I'd had in a long time. You could tell they marinate the meat before cooking, which is something I greatly appreciate. There is nothing worse than a wing that once you suck the sauce off, or eat the skin, you just have a piece of tasteless salt less chicken meat. During recent visits, there hasn't been anybody out front to take orders. When somebody arrives from the back, there's been confusion about who has ordered, who wants order, who is waiting, etc... I purchased the 3 tender with fries + sweet potatoes fried and corn nuggets. The chicken tenders are ok, The lemon pepper fries are horrible, like how and why would you serve that. As if they needed to be cooked a little longer, they were a bit hard to bite into and didn't taste good at all. The sweet potato fries with sweet sauce are really good and the corn nuggets as well. The boy and I have been doing adventures on periodic weekends looking for some of the best wings in town. He tends to go for sweeter wings, while I tend to go for things that have a little more spice to them. Good thing that we can find both of our tastes can get satisfied in the same place. Wings Cafe Westport has a divey feel but a menu HUGE on flavor. True to form, the boy opted for the sweet, choosing the 'Golden BBQ', which advertises as a South Carolina honey mustard glaze, while I selected the Sweet Thai Chili, which is often a cross between sweet and spicy. Neither of these choices disappointed, and we even had a third round, courtesy of his sister, which was the Cajun Buffalo, sporting that buffalo tang with a kick of cayenne. All three flavors were executed pretty much flawlessly, delivered with a side of fries and split evenly between wing tips and drummettes. Wings can come wet or dry, and my standard is to start with the house usual (wet, fried, and finished) and work my way around a menu upon return visits. The 'lunch special' runs daily and offers six wings, a side, and drink for a touch over $10, and you can even add in a pair of extra wings for a couple dollars more. Social distancing and sanitization are practiced, so a fair number of tables are available and cleanliness is in effect. Not gonna lie, when I came in at 6pm there was no one seated, and no one came and greeted us after standing at the front counter for 5 minutes.
