We like to support small business. This family run small business is a refreshing change from some local chain store experiences. The people working here are truly kind and that makes a huge difference. The young man behind d the counter was courteous, kind and helpful. He offered to carry the pizzas to my car for me and although that was not necessary; it was a nice gesture. He did hold the door open for me and thank me for coming. The pizza was your average take out. I asked for light sauce which they did accommodate. It's nice to have a request honored. Toppings were adequate. The dill pickle pizza with ham was delicious cold the next day. The pepperoni, sausage and mushroom pizza was best hot out of the oven but reheated nicely in a pan on the stove. We love cold leftover pizza but this one was better reheated. read more

This was some awesome pizza made by some awesome people. Right when we walked in, we were greeted by Shannon, who was super kind and outgoing. We placed our order, and she recommended Great Lakes popcorn next door, where we got delicious popcorn while we waited for our pizza. (I treated myself, it would have been my birthday if I was born today.) We returned shortly to pick up our pizzas, and -- Oh. My. Goodness. -- The works pizza was to die for! It was very generously topped with a lovely combination of veggies and meats. It was delicious hot for dinner, and then delicious cold for second dinner after work. Saucey Slices is definitely my new favorite pizza on the peninsula, a must if you are in the area. read more

As the name suggests the pizza is saucey. Think extra sauce at most chain pizza places, as a starting point for this place. Which I think is fantastic! We walked in to order and pizza was ready in about 15 minutes. This is mostly a carry out place, but they do offer 1 table. read more

Saucy Slices deluxe keto bowl was delicious with sauce that had extra greens cooked in, spicy pepperoni, seasoned sausage, cheese to keep it easy to eat and topped plenty of veggie. Never having keto bowls but taking a top off pizzas since I was a kid, why waste time on filler lol. I love this choice, as heavy crusts always seem to take away from "the good stuff" in my world. The Italian salad was well topped, not just a ton of lettuce and a whisper of toppings that seems to be an afterthought at a lot of area places. We felt there was more than enough for 2, we enjoyed the fresh ranch dressing as well. Hubs enjoyed a generously topped works pizza, added on meatballs and a tasty not heavy, greasy crust . We both were happy to have with plenty of yummy leftovers for Monday work lunch. Living in between Oak Harbor & Port Clinton we are fLooDeD with pizza places in both towns that are "meh" at best, aka skimpy and lacking a sauce with flavor. Delivery options are slow and few where we live rurally. Didn't feel like driving after a long at home workday, was delighted to find Saucy Slices & worth the short 15 minute drive into town for a great value and tasty takeout. We have lived in this area for 20 yrs and have not found a place that has good italian subs. We are soooo excited to finally found the perfect italian sub. Highly recommend!!! We visited Port Clinton for a few days and when we arrived we decided to stay in that first evening so we picked something simple and ordered pizza. Saucey Slices turned out to be the best meal we had during our stay! I'll just say we ate at several of the highest recommended and reviewed restaurants in the area and none were near as good as Saucey's. It's truly delicious, great pizza and salad. read more

I am so happy to finally find a pizza place in this area that meets our high pizza standards. Lol. We had ordered a Deluxe and asked if we could swap out the peppers and onions for black olives and yellow banana peppers. They accommodated our request which was super nice. The pizza had a little weight to it. When looking at it, I thought it may have been a thicker crust. However, I realized that the crust (which is great) isn't super thick.
