newer place with lots of my Korean fav dishes! corn cheese is always a must and their galbi Jim is good amount for two with the short ribs falling off the bone. the chicken wings though were too "bready" / kind of intimidating to look at with how massive they were but their flavor was a bit lacking.

We were looking for a late night spot to eat and this gem came up on my search. I always enjoy Korean food and this one hit the spot staff is friendly and makes sure your meal and experience is great. The spicy chicken bulgogi hit the spot! With the portions perfect to fill me up!

I want to give five stars for any restaurant that opens late!! We were so hungry at midnight and found this restaurant that's opened late so we gave it a try! The staff was super friendly! Menu has many traditional Korean food items like tofu soup, noodle soup, kimbap, pancake and etc. Everything we ordered was tasty and comforting for midnight food! The side dishes were especially yummy because it has different selection like eggplant and glass noodles! Korean steamed egg was the only thing I wasn't sure about. It felt burnt at the bottom. It's not as smooth as Japanese steamed egg which I may like more!

I have no idea why I rated the restaurant with 3 stars when we had a great experience, food was great, service was attentive. The place is small & quaint but that didn't discourage us from waiting. The workers were apologetic and they acknowledged us the whole time while waiting. Place opens late which is a huge plus for me. I usually fly into NorCal after work , from SoCal, no time for dinner and get in late. Nice to arrive and know To The Moon is open late. Cannot wait to return again!

Quaint little restaurant in the Korean district on Telegraph. We stopped in tonight for a quick bite. The vibe is trendy all black interior. Our food arrived promptly and was good. I wish the banchan was a bit more substantial like most of the Korean places in town. They will bring you more if you asked but how many times can you asked..lol I like that the food are on a lighter side, not strong on the traditional garlicky taste when you finished your meal, and perk of not having your clothes smell like KBBQ. The stirred fried bulgogi beef was a tad bit on a sweeter side for me. Otherwise the kimchi soup was spot on and seafood pancake had a perfect balance of crunch and softness and tanginess from the dipping sauce without drenchedin oil. The wings was good also. Friendly staff and prompt service. We will be back to try other dishes.

Came in on a Sunday evening. My daughter was craving tteokbokki. Service was quick, and nice. The tables were clean. I will say that the table legs are a little tight. You can't push in the chair. And my legs were digging into them. The food came fairly quickly. The kimchi jiggae was so hot. It wasn't that spicy, which is great for me. Thinking about it makes me want to go back for more. I loved it.

A big group and I called ahead to make sure they would have space on the Friday night, but when we arrived, we were the only ones there. We were hesitant to come in at first because of the lack of customers but it was a honestly a great place to sit and drink and chat with friends at the end of the night. The service was nice and accommodating, and the food was a hit or miss: Cheese buldak - (4.5) if you like sweet and spicy, you will like this! Definitely have this with rice. The melted cheese and temp from the grill are so comforting for a cold day. Korean fried chicken (5/5) we tried all 3 flavors, the crunch and batter on each were amazing and taste different from the other Korean restaurant around town. However, the best flavor would probably be the soy/garlic. Korean pancake (5/5) THICK! and crunchy! I got big chunks of the seafood so it's worth it. Corn cheese (1/5) personally a skip. You can see it in the photo... it's more milk than it is cheese... Ttokbokki (2/5) with everything else we ate, our group didn't feel drawn to eat the ttokbokki because it didn't look hot enough. Would come back again to try other things or repeat the good dishes.

Food: Everything we ordered was delicious. The rose ddeoboki, galbi tang, and fried chicken were definite standouts so flavorful, comforting, and perfectly done. The bibimbap, seafood pancake, and pork belly with green onion salad were also solid, but the first dishes really stole the show. I also loved the banchan selection, especially the eggplant, it's not something I usually see, and it ended up being one of my favorites. The pricing felt fair for the quality and portions. Ambiance: The atmosphere is dark and stylish, which fits perfectly with the name To the Moon. It has a cozy, slightly moody vibe that makes it a great spot for dinner with friends or a casual night out. Service: Even though there was only one server when we went, she was incredibly fast, friendly, and on top of everything. She managed the whole room really well, which made the experience even better. Overall: Much recommend! This place doesn't have as many reviews as some other spots, but it definitely deserves the love.

Take me TO THE MOON!!! This place is the next hit spot, I guarantee it. They're new, so not many reviews and not much buzz, YET, but it's coming. They replaced Azit, so as y'all know, the parking situation here is atrocious. My BF and I got super lucky to find a spot in the lot but don't count on it. Uber if you can. It's pretty small inside, if you come in at opening, there won't be a wait but I think once they get popular, wait times may be an issue. Customer service was phenomenal! Our waiter was so attentive and nice. We did order a good amount of dishes and between that, our questions, and refills for banchan, he had to go back and forth a bit just for our one table. He was so pleasant and cheery though, he made our experience so nice. We only ordered one refill on banchan okay, as much as I could have went back for two or three more lol Our banchan for the night included eggplant, fish cake, radish, jap chae, glazed potatoes and pickle cabbage. The cabbage was whatever and the potatoes a bit too sweet, but everything else was phenomenal. One of the best ban chans I've ever had. BF really liked the radish but the eggplant and fish cake were just wow. Even the jap chae had hella flavor, considering it was noodles only. They didn't have kimchi as an option but we asked, and he said he could give us some. He claims it wasn't quite ready as they had just started pickling it and it needed a couple more days, but tbh it was perfect for me. One of the better kimchis for sure. The menu is QR only. It actually tells you it's an unsecure website... so kinda weird. But we accepted the risk for the foods lol Their menu has 4 tiers I believe, ranging from $9.99 to $24.99 with the exception of galbi jim. Steamed egg- BF loved this. I personally don't care for this in general so it was just okay lol I will say it's one of the better ones I've had. If you like this dish, you'll like the one they have here. Corn cheese - This was a smaller sized dish but the layer of cheese on top was perfectly melty brown, and thick. The corn had a good sweetness that contrasted with the cheese. Solid choice. Soy garlic wings - 4 wings but they're massive!! You can opt for plain or other flavors but we did soy garlic. I feel like they glazed the chicken well but the sauce is verrrrrry sweet. And that's coming from a girl who likes sweet. If they had an option to make it a little less sweet and add some spiciness, it would be a winner in my book. It's still a good option but maybe if you have other more savory dishes to balance it all out. It comes with a little cup of pickled radish too, the plain kind which helps cut the sweetness a bit. Def need some rice with this one. Rose tteokbokki - Their tteokbokki comes with a few diff options, you can do spicy or rose for a $2 upcharge. I went with rose, because I love a creamy tteokbooki. This one wasn't spicy at all, very creamy. Maybe even a little too light on flavor? They use both the stick and flat type of rice cakes which I actually really like. These give texture variation to the dish, as the flat ones are generally softer and thinner to chew while the stick ones are thicker and chewier. It comes with a good amount of fish cake but the fish cakes are in huge strips. I would have preferred they cut it up more. Unless you really like rice cakes and fish cake, I'd probably skip this. Good portion size though. Pan fried pork belly with green onion - Normally, my BF would not want korean food. A lot of dishes lean on the sweeter side which he doesn't care for. We only came together because we saw this dish didn't come with a sauce. It's literally pan fried pork belly with green onion haha There are a few cooked bean sprouts mixed in but nothing crazy. The green onion shreds had a red dressing on top which was kinda tangy. I felt like it was unnecessary though. The dish comes with a side of ssamjjang to dip which I looooved. Ssamjjang is a soybean paste that is a bit salty so dont put too much on your pork. Paired with rice. SO fire. Steamed rice - $3 each, must order on the side. Super fresh and fluffy t though. We decided to pick a few options from the menu to give this spot a fair try, but next time I'm coming for the galbi jim and seafood pancake! Side note - the bathroom sink is horrible. IDK if the place came like this or what. You can not comfortably fit two hands under the faucet. Not gonna dock any stars for this poor design, however I wanted to share my thoughts lol

I have been wanting to try some Korean food in Oakland and this was definitely a great spot!! They were pretty busy, but for a party of two we didn't not have to wait. They have a large menu with a ton of options. We chose the cheese buldak, which our waiter said was enough for 2-3 people. This was so flavorful and comforting! The chicken was juicy and the sauce has the perfect spice level. The 30 dollar price was also awesome for 2 people with leftovers! I will definitely come back to try more.

RIP AZIT but this place is an amazing. Open til 2am everyday and staff is extremely nice and welcoming with great service. The entire menu is separated by price with the galbiijim being the only item outside of the $10/$15/20/30 price tiers that they use. I dream of one day getting a squad together to order all the items on one of their tiers - so hit me up if you're down. The pork belly with green onion is the sleeper hit that's extremely fresh tasting despite it being slices of pork belly. Haven't had anything bad here and you know it's authentic when folks are leaving for their smoke breaks and come back to finish.

Great spot! A restaurant with tasty Korean food marketed a restaurant pub. The space is small with black painted walls. The menu is categorized by prices with the cheaper options as small plates and appetizers. There are dishes for $9.99, $14.99, $19.99 and $24.99. We ordered a few items. The portions are meant for sharing. Three dishes stood out that I've never had before. Fried shrimp toast Kimchi stir fry pork with tofu Spicy marinated steamed pork

Movie posters are splattered on the walls decorated with vinyl records and the like. Overall, such a cute hole in the wall late night spot. For the record, I eat mostly pescatarian/vegetarian diet. So their menu isn't really catered to that so much minus a couple things here and there, but I managed to order the tofu bibimbap (and a couple bottles of soju). My friend ordered french fries and spicy korean fried chicken. The server that took our order was so kind, thank you for being attentive :) Wasn't able to catch their name, but we really appreciated the service. Overall, food was delicious and we left feeling full. Also the place is super vibey!

Every time I visited over the years, there seems to be an entirely new rotation of staff, yet they all share the same customer service issues. The workers look like they don't want to be there (I get it, it's work), and that disinterest shows a bit more than it should, draining the energy from the room. The food mirrors this inconsistency. We frequently stick to what we consider safe items like the porno fries, spicy fried chicken, and spicy rice cake. However, during our last visit, we decided to try the seafood pancake, the Bulgogi burger, and our usual corn cheese. Somehow, all three dishes were a disappointment. The seafood pancake was dense and doughy, while the Bulgogi burger was a bit of a soggy mess. Even the corn cheese, the coveted item that used to keep us coming back, missed the mark. It was pooling oil that left a greasy mouthfeel. While the ambiance remains nice, the kitchen simply underperforms on too many of its dishes now. With all of the new Korean restaurants and pochas popping up in the area, there are far better options available. Sadly, nostalgia isn't enough to justify coming back when the food and service continue to slip.

The restaurant gets noisy even when half full near the end of a Friday lunch hour. The chicken was very good with a nice crispy exterior and coating of S&G. The two lunch specials - Mushroom Beef Soon Tofu Soup and Spicy Pork Box Lunch were not spicy as what we're used to, a medium on the soup - get spicy if you want more flavor, while Spicy Pork was more sweet than spicy. Pyeong Chang is another nice addition to the competitive Korean restaurant area in Oakland's Temescal region, just not the safest of area when it comes to parking your car.
