I remember this place from Smorgasburg when we lived downtown, and was excited when their restaurant moved into our neighborhood. The Indian/Mexican cuisine makes for an excellent combo. The pibil burrito is my go-to, but their tacos are always a reliable bet as well. Everything is so flavorful, the ingredients are fresh and unique, and the meat always nice and juicy. My boyfriend and I ordered the rotisserie chicken and various tacos. The chicken was really tender, juicy, and flavorful. The chicken tacos were also great and packed with flavor. The birra tacos with goat is not like a birra taco from anywhere else. It is packed with flavor but also know that goat has a unique flavor. Tucked away near a 7-11 there's ample parking at this joint. Service was friendly, the seating is mostly outdoors on picnic tables, with a few metal barstools inside facing a window, making good use of the space they do have. We ordered the Birria Bowl, chicken pibil nachos and Asada Burrito. I loved my bowl and I especially liked knowing they raise their own goats.. The meat was perfect, not too fatty which is a problem I've encountered at other places. My kid said he likes the fat at other places but the flavoring for him was also good. The nachos hit the spot for both of us, the only complaint is my son felt that there was too much rice in his burrito, which considering those 3 items had us at $50, too much rice will probably have us not order that again. It's mostly to go, although there is a counter and a few tables outside. One of the owners was there and gave recommendations. I tried the pibil burrito and fenugreek esquites (street corn). This is a great little local joint with a really original menu. I was attracted to it because of the blend of Indian flavours with Mexican staples. It didn't disappoint. They have a range of dishes including nachos, burritos and tacos, all of which felt uniquely designed. The portions are generous (tacos get plenty of filling, which is great) and they have a host of delicious sides which do so much more than just bulk up the dinner. I had their cauliflower and their cucumber sides and ended up ordering extra because they were so delicious. The inside of the Pasadena joint is fairly small (6 stools around a bar on the window side) but there is outdoor seating. I think this place would be great for summer evenings or for getting food delivered in. The service was also great and the guy at the counter was ready to answer questions and move stools around to make room for us to sit inside. read more

I wasn't disappointed. I've been driving by this place for the past few months, wanting to try it but just not finding the time. I am glad I finally went in! The person who took my order was welcoming and very helpful. He explained all the types of sauces. The menu has many choices but not an overwhelming number which usually tells me that they pay attention to each dish they make and focus on flavor. And, they do! yummy yummy fusion place!!!! my friend attended an event that had catering from saucy chick goat mafia (they made off menu items of course) and she really liked the meat ball so here we are lol we ordered a ton of food! -birria queso tacos: yummy yummy flavorful with the pickled onion (?) i didn't actually try this one but my friend loves it! -birria de chivo burrito: it was really good and the meat was uber tender - it tasted like lamb shank to me. i tried to add all the sauces with it too, they all are goood. the hot sauce is fire! -skirt steak burrito: i didn't try it but friend said it's really good too -jeera chicken taco: very flavorful again but IMO a little bit salty on some bites but i really like the pickle onions (?) added in there -pubil rotisserie chicken: flavorful! really soft and tender chicken and not salty at all! -we also got the cauliflower side and the fenuesquite side! we loved the esquite side! such a great flavor combo!!! would definitely visit again and try other stuff! read more

Its not quite indian, its not quite mexican and it leaves me wanting more. I had the rotisserie chicken with both the mexican and indian flavors. Chicken was rather dry and the flavorings felt like they were caked on top. I've had significantly better rotisserie chicken. For my sides i had the cauliflower (also dry) and some potato thing (also dry). Good thing i ordered the birria taco (only thing holding up this 3* rating) which was good and a bit spicy. I've never had indian-mexican fusion before today but i have had better mexican and i've had substantially better indian. So maybe i dont "get" this place but its not something i'd try again. read more
