Their coffee is very good but service of waiting over 20 minutes for ordering 2 coffees to go is unacceptable. Clearly they have operational issues because it really wasn't too busy. My order must have been misplaced and the barista acknowledged my order but still kept me waiting never to make my coffee since I walked out of the store. My 8 tips for this Equator after 30 trips. If ordering in line is slow use their app. You can schedule when you want to pick your order up. Big bonus is they give you points and you can use those points for freebies. If drinking on site, ask for a real mug instead of a paper cup. The breakfast burrito is da bomb. The chicken flatbread is amazing. So big you can share one. Always say thank you to the staff. They work hard. Clean up after yourself even if you leave a tip as there are usually tons of people that love this location. There's only one bathroom so if you want it you'd better wait in line. There's only one line to order coffee and food with usually just one person behind the counter to take your order. I love the Sausalito location of the Equator group. It's a cool, older brick building with several rooms plus outdoor space. The larger space apparently also provides space for a full kitchen, cuz they turn out amazing looking waffles and other breakfast plates. The coffee menu is longer than the usual at other locations. I love equator. I was a frequent customer in Larkspur for a while, but otherwise am not because...well, it's pricey. But I recently went to the Sausalito Equator and was very bummed with the service multiple days in a row. Food and ambiance is excellent, but managers and employees step it up. If a customer is waiting to order, at least acknowledge their presence. I probably waited for 3-5 minutes with an employee ordering her own food in front of me, and a man, who looked to be the manager, restocking and chatting in the area. I was shocked by it. I am not one to speak up in the moment, but man oh man. Having worked (still do on occasion) in the service industry, I feel like bare minimum acknowledge your customer and let them know if it will be a moment. Not stoked. Great coffee though. read more

I have been going to this location for many years and they've always gone above and beyond every time. The staff are very friendly and serve your food in a timely manner. The food and coffee is absolutely delicious. This location in particular is very beautiful and is about a 10-15 minute walk from the ferry dock. I've heard many good things about equator coffee around the Bay Area and it definitely lives up to it!! I feel like I haven't had good coffee in awhile, especially a latte. I ordered the Caramel latte with the seasonal dark roasted espresso hot and I was so happy with my choice! You could definitely taste the espresso and the drink wasn't too sweet! I can't wait to get another one. I also got the spicy avocado toast. It comes in a small container with a fork, the fork really wasn't needed and it was easy to just eat with your hands. The toast was super crispy and crunchy and it was the right amount of avocado, cream, spice, and onions/garnish. I devoured it. Ordering was really easy and they called your name out when your order was ready. I also heard that their smoothies are really good too! My friend got an iced vanilla latte and we preferred the hot latte better! Parking was also fairly easy. I drove around the block a couple of times and parked in the neighborhood where there was free 2 hour parking. I had a good experience at Sausalito Equator and enjoyed the variety of options they had to provide. I was really curious about the Habibi drink and gave that a shot. I asked for it unsweetened and it was rather potent, I can see that the syrup would have added a lot to it. If avoiding sugar, I would suggest going with the plain latte. I appreciate that Sausalito Equator has alternative milk options like oat milk (my favorite!). I tried the matcha latte and it was good. Their set up is pretty good, plenty of outdoor space, limited indoor space. They have a lot of food options, I didn't try any as I avoid gluten and from that perspective the options were limited. All of the pastries looked amazing and the avocado toast looked good. I came right when they opened and there was already a line, a good sign! I will say that the line moved slowly and it took a while for the order to be ready. I think they have an online ordering service so if you are in a rush, I would suggest scheduling your order in advance. The staff was friendly and helpful! read more

So happy I discovered this coffee shop on our visit to Sausalito! I also recently discovered it's a chain and have found others around the Bay. It's a very cute coffee and tea shop. I tried a hybrid sort of drink called the Habibi. It was floral yet a latte. It was nice! Pretty tasty but I am not sure I'm super fond of the floral herbal accent but it was not a bad time trying it for the first time. My favorite thing here was the almond croissant. Perfectly flaky. The too had sliced almonds and some powdered sugar. But if that wasn't tasty already take a deeper bite and there is a custard filling! Super duper yummy and a pleasant surprise. The custard wasn't overally sweet but it was definitely almondy which I loved. Willing to go back just to buy more of these lol. read more

There is easy access to downtown Sausalito and the major parking lots for downtown and the ferry. The interior is also really nice and there are plenty of tables to sit at. They also have a nice patio for when you want to enjoy the lovely weather. Honestly, it's in a good location but the coffee is substandard. It's sour, does not have a good robust coffee flavor. It's like they are using cheap coffee beans. In fact one of the worst cups of coffee I've ever had. Normally I don't write reviews but I just think they need to change their coffee. McDonald's has a way batter coffee for a dollar! In fact I could get any cheap coffee on sale at Walmart and brew a better cup of coffee. I would say it's equivalent to the coffee you get at the Verve. And that coffee sucks! It was just an awful coffee experience. They didn't have anything to sweeten it with that was good. Other than sugar and Stevia. Have you ever tried Stevia in your coffee? It gives it a weird aftertaste. The two sweeteners that are decent that are not sugar are and Equal and Splenda. Those were not available. This company has potential to do much better if a brewed a better cup of coffee. Think about it, that's the one thing that they are promoting, coffee! And their coffee is just God awful! I came for a second time and it was a much better experience. I wanted to take my wife for some drinks and a bite and this was a great choice. This time I ordered a pour over while my wife sipped on a vanilla steamer. We shared a honey butter waffle with syrup and it was delicious. Our drinks and waffle came within 15 mins which was great. We sat outside at the long bench under the shade; it was comfy and we enjoyed every minute of it. My drip from Papa New Guinea was fruity and had light notes of chocolate. My wife's vanilla steamer had real bits of vanilla bean specks and our waffle had a cake-texture that went perfectly with their syrup. My experience this second time around was perfect. I do wish their cashier was a bit more cheerful and friendly; he was very monotone with his responses and just seemed dull. Nevertheless, we had a great time. read more
