Hired CRC to replace a driveway. A different company showed up to do the work (Menini Concrete). Less than a month after the installation a small crack began to form 26 feet long over 3 slabs of concrete. I had to call 7 times to get a hold of the owner. The person who answered the phone would always tell me he was with a customer & would call me back. The only time he called me back was when I threatened a negative online review. When the owner of CRC finally came to check out the crack he told me no to worry about it and "concrete tends to crack". I was concerned that this crack would only get worse as time went on, which it has. I truly regret paying major money on a driveway that started cracking less than a month after installation and now it looks terrible. I am still calling to ask the owner to look at the crack now and see if anything can be done but he will not call back. This wasn't cheap, it looks terrible, and I cannot contact the owner. To make things worse, the driveway is back pitched and every time it rains , I get water in my garage. read more

Our patio consisted of 3 very thick concrete pads about 6' x 10', that had all settled at different rates over many years. CRC raised each pad separately, so in the end, all three are even, all are sloped evenly, and have a minimal gap. They also gave me instructions on a particular caulk to use for filling the gaps. So, we now have an even patio with no gaps or ridges to trip over - and it should last for many years, with no erosion. The cost was worth it, especially compared to demolishing the old patio and building a new one. It was also fascinating to watch the process. John B. read more

Our 40 year old house had quite a few feet of sidewalks that tilted toward the house. CRC came out and in an afternoon had them all sloped so water now drains away. Having them back to caulk and tweak areas that need sealing now that the concrete is in the right place. Would definitely recommend. read more

We had CRC raise and bolster a heavy back porch concrete platform recently. The concrete had sunk about 6 inches and was causing drainage into our foundation. I thought we would be required to bust up the concrete and repour new concrete. Worse yet, it was down a hillside on the back of the house and almost inaccessible. Yet, CRC came in quoted a terrific reasonable price and assured me they could save the platform as well as get their equipment down the hillside with plywood planks. The whole job was done in 2 hours and I was completely floored. It was raised and pitched enough to drain well away from the house. This response is simply untrue. We had 3 other companies come out because there was no snow on the scheduled date and the concrete was uncovered. I also called twice that day and left a message, yet it was not returned until a week later. This despite having an appointment for you to come out that day, you couldn't bother with responding within a week? I understand that stuff happens and it's your "off season", but you guys blew the appointment off and didn't think twice about it. Don't make excuses that aren't true and admit to your mistakes. read more

CRC was timely in every aspect of the job, from replying to my initial inquiry, from onsite inspection for the estimate and on the day of the job. They will tell who is coming so you know who to expect. They respond promptly. They came on time and completed the job in about 2 hours. The salesperson who provided the estimate was very knowledgeable. The lead person on the day of the job took time to explain things. I had 5 concrete slabs service walk that's drooping downward towards the house resulting to a puddle of water when it rains. CRC raised, leveled, aligned the slabs up by about 4 inches. That was wonderful, I liked how it looked now, that fixed my problem. But, as a consequence, need to upgrade the landscape so it levels with the slabs. Additionally, need to upgrade my asphalt driveway so, it levels with the slabs as well, so they all look level. There were also gaps in between the slabs that need to be caulked, and unfortunately, caulking was not included in the job. I wished it was included. I missed that from the estimate that you need to check/include caulking. CRC also voidfill/stabilize the front stoop, drilled holes into the existing concrete slab and then injected with what I think was a cement mix. There were existing cracks in the slab that I think can be caulked, but again, not included in the job description. Well, true to its name, they raise concrete, no more, no less. Overall, they are great! Just need to be clear with expectations from the start. read more

Solution is significant savings from removal and replacement of entire walkway -- with some long term possible degradation well explained and understood. After having big cracks in the concrete on my lower level, I wasn't sure what needed to be done. After having an architect come out and take a look at what was going on, she knew the answer right away, and put me in touch with CRC.They came out rgast away and were able to give me an estimate and within a few weeks raised my floor so that the rest of the work that was being done in my house could commence. Now my new hardwood floors are in place and the floor is completely even. I will forever be grateful. I was so worried this was going to be such a huge undertaking, and I just couldn't understand how they were going to lift the floor from underneath but lo and behold the job got done. CRC came out to raise the front walk way, the last section that did not need to be raised they cut away from the stoop and when they raised it "which was totally" not necessary they cracked it! After numerous calls they came out and caulked it making it even more of a danger and a eye sore. I spoke to them once back in July 2018 and was told that they would be out to correct the problem if I took away the bad review on YELP. I did as asked and now they refuse to return my calls. The end result is they did a very unprofessional job and wont correct the damage they had done. read more

I'm utterly delighted with CRC. I had no idea that my jack-o-lantern-teeth sidewalk sections could be salvaged, let alone come out perfectly even - with just the right grade away from the house. It's been 6 months and everything is still looking great. As I recall, after an interlude of jackhammer-like drilling noises the doorbell rang and I was expecting them to say how long they felt the job would take, but they were saying they were finished and cleaned up already. The concrete in front as well as behind my condo building was cracked and severely un-level. I called several places for estimates and kept getting a 6-8 week time frame just for an estimate. Apparently and obviously, last winter created a lot of job opportunities for the concrete/asphalt industry. Long story short, Viking CR&R came out 3 days after I called them and gave me a very reasonable estimate to fix my problem. Two weeks later, Ralph and his crew showed up and had my concrete pathways leveled and patched up in under two hours. They all were super polite, very professional, and damn good at what they do. In addition to fixing everything, they guarantee their work with a 4-yr warranty. They don't have any hidden charges or try to gauge you with any "extras" either. I contracted with CRC to raise and level a 30 foot section of concrete leading to the side entrance to my home. The sidewalk had sunk several inches at the doorway resulting an almost unmanageable step up to the stoop and the rest of the pavement blocks leading to the front sidewalk were very uneven and crooked. CRC did an amazing job raising and leveling the walkway resulting in a smooth, aligned surface and a normal step up to the the doorway. Although I was mildly disappointed in the color and texture of the filler cement used between the concrete slabs and the gap to the stoop, the overall results were excellent. Not happy at all. The Project Manager comes writes the contract which states what needs to be done. But be aware you need to be very explicit in what you expect - to the point of minutia. If you expect a down spout flush to the ground with no ugly PVC pipe above the ground state that. We did not. We ended up with black Grate Downspout Filter on white down spouts with 3 feet of PVC above ground. If you expect them to leave landscape as it was, state that otherwise you will ended up with a mound of dirt which looks like a burial site. If you need screws correctly attaching Grate Downspout Filter to PVC pipes state that. We ended up with screws pressing on the downspout but not really holding the connections properly. I called complaining and sent emails multiple times, finally workers came back. Rude is putting it mildly, I am glad my husband was with me, as that worker was so irate I was afraid. The worker was so rude he ripped the downspout run from brick wall. He fixed, what he had forcibly broken, however, instead of white screws that match the downspout, he used blue concrete screws and not brick / masonry screws.
