Really professional company. They lifted 4 slabs which had paver stone steps on them. All the other places I called would not even take the responsibility. I was given an estimate last fall and decided to put my project on hold. A few weeks ago I called and was scheduled for the work to be done. I was sent an email to verify which I did but the work was put on hold due to the weather which is understandable. I was again scheduled for May 8. I had to work so I was expecting a phone call for payment when the work was complete. No phone calls. My cell is the only phone I use and I have it on me at work. I was expecting to get home to a completed job but nothing! Not even a phone call. I left a message asking what happened and than another message Monday afternoon. Someone in the office called me and said she was trying to get a hold of the person who came to my house to do the work. Later that afternoon I received a message that the person who came out decided he wasn't going to do the work and tried to call me. Really? Why would you quote a job, waste my time and yours to come out and decide not to do it? And than lie about calling me? There were no messages left. Obviously this company has way too much business to be bothered by my job! I work for a well known home improvement company and I will make sure I tell as many people as I can! Thanks CRC. read more

We were concerned about the cracks in our garages floor slab even though the inspector told us it was fine we wanted a second opinion. Paul came out and evaluated it for us. I cannot tell you how grateful we're for his honestly. He told us that we didn't need to spend the money to repair it because nothing was structurally wrong and any damage to the slab was already done years ago and it's not hurting the house. He could of easily taken advantage of us and convinced us we needed to fix it. He saved us thousands of dollars and eased our minds. This is a company you can trust not to screw you over! read more

We had a lot of confusion about what was promised, what was written, and what work was done, not to mention over $400.00 worth of physical damage done to our house and landscaping due to wheeling their equipment on our lawn, sidewalk, and crashing into our home and breaking portions of our siding. CRC had not been responsve to us at all, to the point of denying all the damage, after we sent them pictures, and they acknowledged the landscaping damage. The damage was done outside the area of the work that was done, so we did nt see it until they left and we called CRC the same day. Their owner, Ms.Peterson spent time on a phone call with screaming at me that it was not their fault. I would strongly suggest taking pictures of not only the wrok area but surrounding areas, wherevever their workpeople have been, starting at the curb and to where the work was done. The franchisor CRC of Wisconsin has not responded either after seeing pictures of the damage that was done. read more

I have worked with contractors on both new construction and remodeling, with great results. Almost always, the work is done as promised. Once in awhile, when there is a problem, or the work doesn't meet the standard that was established, you must be able to communicate that to your contractor. Unfortunately, that was not the case with CRC. We had our front walk was raised to meet code, and it was restored to fairly level. However, the job site was left very dirty, with chunks of concrete in the flower beds, and a worker scraped some concrete off his boots on the side of the walk. That hardened as concrete does, and was left there. And those "golf ball sized holes" through which the slurry is pumped were actually 4-5 inches in diameter; and not at the edges, where I was told, but in a triangle pattern in the middle of each slab. When I called the office to discuss these points, Patty, who identified herself as the president of the company, immediately became defensive and hostile. She refused to let me finish a sentence, and repeatedly interrupting as her tone became more and more angry. She accused me of making this up because I didn't call her after the first day or two (we don't live at this site); she accused me of trying to get out of paying, (really? Over $550?!); and I was threatened with the loss of my $100 discount. I can't imagine a business owner taking this tone with a customer, especially the very first time she ever spoke to that customer. I tend to think this is her default way of dealing with any complaint. Some of our points were easily remedied, but instead, she cut me off with, "Concrete is a messy job and we don't clean up," and , "You mean you can't get a hammer and knock that off the sidewalk yourself?" As a consumer, you hope to work with your contractor to get solutions that bring the results you were assured. With CRC Concrete Raising & Repair, a solution was never even offered. Instead, I was yelled at, accused of lying, and threatened. I would have rather paid 3 times what I paid, gotten a much nicer walk, and not have been on the end of an angry barrage from a bitter business owner. read more

The entire CRC team and experience from the estimate to completion of work was exceptional. I hired them to lift 12 sections of my front walkway and stabilize and fill under my front stoop. Adam, who provided the estimate is extremely professional and provided a fair estimate with a great explanation of the work to be completed. When the work was performed, I was not present, but when I arrived home, I could immediately see the exceptional work and was immensely pleased. Upon further inspection, I realized that one repair that was quoted had been missed (I am certain, inadvertently). I called the company and they very quickly responded and sent another crew out to complete the work. My husband and I recently had the misfortune of dealing with this concrete company. We had our concrete driveway raised. They did a fairly good job but all I'll remember is the mess they left behind. The "slurry" that they use to raise the concrete is what they left all over our front yard. When I called to complain they didn't really acknowledge that there was a problem and not until I told them I took pictures did they say they would come back to clean it up. We'll just see if they do. I won't hold my breath. I posting this complaint about CRC anywhere I can, even with the BBB. Don't use them. read more

This is a one of the worst company's I had to deal with and that is based on myself being in the trades. The HOA pick up this company to do some minor repairs and oversold the president on work that was not needed. The work they preformed was less then professional and be careful as this company hires sub contractors to preform work. When I brought up the questions that are the subs license, insured and bonded they jump into their personal car and left the job. I brought up issues of the poor craftsmanship to to our president and the lead worker in a job site meeting and was told it would be fixed. Not as to this date has it been corrected. This company spray painted the concrete for the work to be preform and leaving it so I have nice pink dots to look at for years to come on my patio and sidewalk. There is overspray all over my patio furniture and the house and mechanical equipment and the holes the drilled were not even filled up all the way creating trip hazards, I was under the impression that they were here to fix trip hazards not create them. Customer service is not a strong suit of this company either. I saw how the pushed around our HOA president but quickly change when a this electrician contractor got back in there face about work quality. Save yourself money and problems down the road and look elsewhere for quality companies not take your money and run ones. read more

*not a review of Job done* I would have given just one star but the gentleman that came and finally provided an estimate was very pleasant and knowledgeable. The front office needs to get their multitasking skills In order to provide a feasible date for estimates. I called for an estimate recently and left a message for then to call me back. I received a follow up call the next day but missed it. Called back immediately and was told that they received my request and were working on schedules and estimate appointments and would get back to me by Friday to let me know(2days later). Well I received no call and called them on Monday to follow up and they said they still did not know and they will call me the next day. I received no call. (During this time I had 4 other companies come and go with estimates and scheduled the work to be done the following week) I finally got a call the following Friday over a week and a half later to say that there will be someone coming on Monday. I scheduled with another company that Tuesday to get the work done. I wish I knew what type of quality work they do, but to be honest after the way the front desk handled my appointment for just the estimate...it left me with little trust! read more

This company is the worst and did a terrible job. I was going to chalk this up to experience but feel others should be warned. They did horrible work with my porch and sidewalk leaving it looking much worse than it did prior to them stepping foot on my property. They have a real linebacker of a blocker in the woman owner who was so rude to us and refused to stand by their work or warranty. Salesmen lied all the way then went AWOL when there was a problem. Lady owner/linebacker said she didn't care that the salesmen lied because her contract protected her against that, same thing I saw another reviewer write. This place is a joke and will be out of business soon. The linebacker needs to learn the ABCs of customer service but I'm sure never will. And one more thing, when I looked on yelp several weeks ago there were all kinds of complaints and negative reviews, including anything from bad work to them selling their personal information on credit cards and phone numbers. Now all those bad reviews have suddenly disappeared and the only good review is there - go figure! read more

There has been a problem with this company from the beginning. I asked many, many questions of the salesman who came to give me an estimate. As it turns out he misrepresented the work from the beginning. All that needed to be done was to level a patio step. He said it was a simple project. When the supervisor and workers came about a month later to level the one step, I was told that the step might not be completely level. I had second thoughts about continuing, but I was assured that it would be almost perfect. When they raised the step, the drilled three holes in the patio step and forced the mixture of mud and cement into the holes. Yes, this made the step more level, but it also raised the step. The result of raising the step then made the distance down to the patio unacceptable. I had not been told that this was going to happen. In order to try to rectify this problem, they drilled more holes in the patio and force more of the mixture under the patio near the step. As a result of that step, the patio has new cracks near the step as well as the other few cracks have gotten considerably worse. I contacted CRC, and the supervisor who called me told me that this was to be expected. I would never have had this company repair this step if I had had any idea that my patio would be made to look so horrific! The supervisor was extremely rude and demeaning when he called. They are now completely ignoring the horrendous problem that they have caused. There is NO WAY that I would ever recommend this company to anyone. Their work was fairly messy (my patio still has remnants of the mud mixture on it) as well as extra holes drilled into it. The patio is now going to have to be replaced which is going to cost me an additional $3,000 to $5,000 in addition to the $595 I paid CRC already. STAY AWAY FROM THIS UNREPUTABLE COMPANY! read more

First they cut a gas line at my house while I'm working and had to evacuate and lose business. Then to add insult to injury they tell me I'm responsible for it so now I have to chop up the concrete they just lifted so I can fix the gas line they cut which means finding a plumber to do that and a concrete company to fix the concrete. And who knew that after mudjacking the customer is left with making their work look presentable by having to buy filler and caulk to finish their job. I would definitely shop around. read more

I first noticed the parking lot had a lot of areas where the concrete had sunk. It was becoming a liability issue as well as looking bad. Paul came out and took a look at it. He assured me he could greatly improve it and put off the cost of a replacement driveway for a few years or more. He gave me what I thought to be a very fair price to repair the spots. He told me they would be out early in the morning, showed up on time and got it taken care of. The crew chief (I forget his name) was very nice and made sure to come get me when finished, and make sure I was happy. After we had finished, I stood out in the lot looking things over a little closer and was quite impressed at how they were cleaning up after themselves. It's been about a month and all the pieces have stayed put. I am very pleased and would recommend them highly. read more

First time doing concrete raising. Never again for porch or patio. Ok for sidewalk. Would have been much better off replacing the concrete. Issues included: spent over 40 hours afterward doing cleanup (1 hour - do it quick afterwards as you will have splatters of concrete mixture around house and landscaping), shoring up around the lifted concrete, sealing the cracks in the concrete, and fixing the drill holes that weren't patched properly). Further, there were spots on the patio and porch they could not lift - this ended up in poor look as well. I asked them to fix and they said everything came out right. Therefore, I think the entire process is flawed and would suggest if you have concrete with a crack in it, just replace it and don't get it raised as it will look poor. Remember, you will have to do the crack filling and it just doesn't look as good as a concrete pour. read more

CRC was recommended to us by a friend after we were chatting and I was grumping about how much it was going to cost us to have our sidewalk replaced. The person who scheduled our appointment was very pleasant on the phone. Paul came out to do our estimate. I was home at the time so he explained to me exactly what/how they were going to do the job. He also explained that the fix CRC does is different, much longer lasting than mud jacking. Crew showed up on time and cleaned up, I didn't even need to sweep. Our curving sidewalk is now level from start to finish, we couldn't be happier. The cost to have this repair done was a fraction of what it would have cost to have the sidewalk replaced. read more

I had chipmunk infestation under my porch and needed large voids filled in to keep my porch from sinking. The CRC crew came out and went above the call of duty to make sure all the voids were filled and all access holes were covered. They also raised the walk way leading to the porch. The crew informed me of the process as they were working and were very professional in they appraoch. They also use a higher content cement mixture, which their competitors usually do not. I am now rodent free and would use them again in a second. I highly recommend CRC. read more

I discovered CRC via Angie's list & they had favorable A & B type comments. I had them bid on my various cement flatwork & garage slab that needed raising. all initialy went well. Now about 1 year later my walkway has begun to sink ^ crack. After 3 attempts to get a call back the person I spoke with Julia was somewhat indifferent & said they'd get back to me. never did. I called again #4, they said then that likely problem was due to drought & not their work. OK- they said the owner would come out & inspect. No call from them on status-when i did call them #5 told rudely after apparently inspecting wrong area of the property that in likely wasn't their fault but the draught. again rude. wouldn't due anything if then until the summer. I'll never use this company again & others should be wary. read more

Avoid this company. I used them in 2011 and they did a great job and were very professional. In 2013 I used them again and had a very different experience. First they changed their name from CRC to Viking. They fixed 2 cracks in my basement. One crack was fine the other crack was leaking. Has to contact them 5-6 times just to get a response, they came out 2-3 times in the last year to fix it again and it still leaks. They refuse to do anything about it or even respond to phone calls. I filed a complaint with the BBB and they did not respond. They have many complaints on the BBB and lame excuses as to why they cannot do a good job. read more

I happened to be walking around my back yard after being away for a month and knowing the area just went through serious flooding and I noticed my CEMENT STAIRS that lead from my upstairs down to my back yard were totally pulling away from the foundation. There was at least an inch separation. I didn't have a clue how this gets fixed. Some friends told me about cement lifting and searched for a couple places for me. I called CRC after I read the reviews. Upon calling, I experienced super friendly and professional folks. Someone was out to take a look at my property within a few days and the work was completed within a couple weeks. I was away when the work was completed. When I arrived home, VOILA!!! Stairs all fixed, raised, and ready to go! PERFECT! Now I don't have to worry about the problem getting worse! I would recommend CRC for any cement lifting issues! read more

this company is shady!!! they do not honor their warranties on foundation repairs and they are slow to respond to warranties on concrete raising but they are quick to collect your money!! learn some business etiquette!! Patty also thinks everyone lies when in actuality she is the one who lies. she needs to learn how to run a business. she claims in some of her responses how they are BBB accredited ( they cost not everyone uses them) and Best picks choose them HA!! you need to pay them to be in their book and they are not the most reliable! PATTY you would run a better business if you fessed up to your mistakes and resolved your issues faster instead of hoping the customer will let it go. A person who goes by the nickname of "Patty P" here on YELP, answeres calls at CRC and identifies herself as "Patty the owner". If so, Patty fails to operate a business based on a MUTUAL contract that is expected to bring benefits to both the seller and THE BUYER in the service agreement. Here's an example. My elderly parents recently contracted with CRC of Wheeling, IL. to raise a total of 9 conrete sidewalk blocks along both sides of their home. At the time of signing the contract, "Paul", the saleperson responsible for providing estimates, assured my father that they need NOT be at home at the time of the service. In the contract, Paul stipulated (in his own handwriting) that 4 squares of concrete on the east side of the home would be raised "if completed with the rest of the job". My father initialized Paul's comment in the contract. As it turned out, being at home to supervise is a must with CRC! Although we contracted 4 squares for $200, we were billled for 3 squares (fairly, at $150) and only 3 squares were completed. My father paid CRC by check via personal check on the evening of the day on which the job was completed. When we called CRC a few days later to inquire about having the 4th square completed, we were unkindly treated and dismissed by a "Patty the owner". Patty deals with dissatified customers by disconnecting her customer 'diservice' call in the name of "clients waiting on the other line". Stay away from this business. They do not deserve to remain in business. read more
