I'm visiting long island from baltimore and was taken to Savers by my hosts. Very impressed! Found lots of games and small toys for my classroom- literally filled an entire cart with games costing 1-3$ but would normally cost 15$ in kohl's or Walmart. I did open the games and they had most if not all the game pieces. Popular games like connect four and some I hadn't heard of but I thought would be popular w my students. The cart full cost maybe 60$. In a family of four this would easily have been an amazing shopping trip for Christmas! Anyway I also scored two long fur coats, one has leather on the outside and fur inside: 40$! And the other 30$, I found a red trench coat in New condition for 15$ and everything was 30% off because of the coupon I had! So fur coat was27, the other fur was 20, and trench was 10$. All in all I spent 160$ total w my friends and we saved 66$ due to our coupon. Monday: labor day is 50% off! read more

I have been shopping at Savers since 2015 (especially this location because I feel its the best one in Suffolk ). The last time I went there the young girl at the register was just plain rude and I wasn't very happy with how much the prices went up on their clothing. After that experience I decided I may never go back again. I went today, on a whim, to see if I could find some baking items and did find some excellent buys. Better than that I was helped by a VERY helpful and nice young lady. Her name was Kelli and she was wonderful. Service with a smile and you could tell that it wasn't because that was her job but because that is how she is. She revived my faith in Savers and the younger generation in general. read more

Most of the "good donated" items never make it to the floor. People who work there, especially those who unload the intake, help themselves. It doesn't get on the floor, or the price is rediculously discounted. Needs to have lots of cameras and accountability. read more

I had my best experiences since I have been shopping on savers. I saw the item ask questions and received the best help. This lady name "loulou" which I believe was a manager , was at the most standard of professionalism. I enter the store with a frown and leave with a smile. I loveee thrift stores so when I heard that they opened up a Savers a mere 1.6 miles from my apartment, I had to check it out. Cleanest thrift store I've ever seen in my life-- and it's huge! The clothes are organized by type (Women's Tank Tops, Blouses, etc.) but THEN they're organized in that category by color! Making the whole aisle look like a rainbow that I was more than happy to sift through. Everything was hung very neatly and the clothes don't smell like death. Prices are very appropriate. +1 for that... because there's nothing worse than shopping at an overpriced thrift store. read more

Boy, I love this place. Want to look like Farrah Fawcett (or at least dress like her)? This is the place to go. Great vintage (used) stuff. Generally in good shape. Books, housewares, a guitar, scarfs (winter's coming). Lots of clothes- store is probably 80% clothes. In fact, I think I found some of Mick Jagger's old clothes. Store does get crowded on weekends. Plenty of parking for your car or bike. Great place to go when you want to be fashionable, or really don't care what you wear. Sylvester knows best! read more

I'm an habitual thrifter and this Savers is pretty close to me. I like to browse the store and usually end up with an item or two. If you're a member, there are special sale days. I'm not in the "club" but made the mistake of going on a member sale day, which was like a horror movie. Crowded, dozens of people on line, and customers being absolute PIGS- looked like they ran in with the express purpose of throwing clothes on the floor! The poor staff! As to clothing, lots of size selections but pricing can be inconsistent. I've found items with the tags still on which told me I've saved quite a bit (example, $7 Ann Taylor sweater tagged $72 ). Besides sweaters and tops also bought art here and knicknacks. Scored original Melmac as well. Often ,though, I've spent an hour there and bought nothing. read more

I would absolutely recommend this Savers over the one by Costco just for the superior parking situation. The parking lot by the Savers near Costco is always nutty. This Savers also seems to have a larger inventory, though they don't really have much furniture - which is fine, the furniture these places end up with is always gross. The times that I've gone, there were enough cashiers to take care of everyone, so no long wait. They also seem to change out inventory constantly, so it's worth visiting regularly. read more

Ok. This place is a thrift store, so I'm giving it a little wiggle room. As far as thrift stores go, this one is pretty great. There's a massive selection of home goods and books in addition to the clothes, so as someone who recently moved apartments in NYC and is desperatley trying to furnish it, I was instantly sold. 7 good quality drinking glasses for $7? You told have to tell me twice! There was also some great couches there for #$30 FREAKING DOLLARS! I wanted it but there was no way I was getting it back to the city unless I strapped it to my back. there are lots of thrifts stores around some big some little some are really charity some are not not exactly sure what savers is they say they like donations and they give back to the community ok I had to catch my breath when I walked in...the place is huge its brightly lit and thats a plus it feels roomy the aisles are wide and it doesn't really smell bad at all there are aisles and aisles of clothes a smattering of furniture lots of books and a few toys and almost NO stuffed animals I only type that because I came for some...to dress up my dog don't ask as that is another story if you need tshirts and you want used come on over I actually found something I had been searching for a few years ago a navy snorkel jacket with an orange inside a popular jacket of my youth it must have been fate because I have not been in a thrift in a few years so no stuffed toy but a snorkel they take credit cards and here is the kicker you actually have 7 days to exchange as long as the tags are on and you have a receipt. prices are not great but not bad either its fun to try and find something read more

this savers is ok but does not come close to the quality of the holbrook store....they need to do more donation marketing....its slim pickings with the inventory. If there was anything i was ever looking for i found it in the holbrook location....this one not so much....could be days before you see new stock hit the shevles ( and i know production is off on Mondays and tuesdays ) so why is the place empty all week ? This chain thrift store location is much more stocked and organized than the next closest location in Holbrook. This store usually seems to be more sufficiently staffed, with the exception of big sale days, and has a nice selection of most items. The biggest issue is that this location is absolutely filthy and dusty. Try not to drop any clothing on the floor or it will absorb a ton of dust/dirt. This place was so dirty thatI had to shower right after going there because I was itchy from head to toe, probably from dust mites....seriously. The floors are physically dirty, the dressing rooms have dust bunnies and cob webs....unacceptable for a large chain store. It's so bizarre. When they have huge sale days, expect the place to be a total zoo and not necessarily neatly organized, but that goes with the territory. If you are a thrift store guru, there is no doubt that this place will tickle your fancy, but be prepared to shower. It would get more stars if it was cleaned more frequently. read more

Savers in general seem to be a "higher quality" thrift store than most, certainly the salvation army. This location is pretty huge, though mostly filled with clothes, and womens in particular. Everything isn't great in the store but it is a thrift store, not sure what people expect. read more

I recently went to the Holbrook Savers and found quite a few good deals. It is very well organized and everything in the clothing dept is in good condition. I was amazed at all the Vera Bradley bags I saw there The housewares are "hit or miss" and used, of course....but sometimes that is okay I like the little bags on the wall full of miscellaneous things bundled together. I found some greeting cards and thought there were about four in the bag, but there were 15! The employees are friendly and the dressing rooms are always available. I will return. read more

Very rarely do they have anything good. Most of the time the store is absurdly overpriced. Anything remotely interesting is priced two times what anyone would pay for it. This is a thrift store (a semi-shady for profit one at that), not a specialty consignment shop, not ebay. Price things to move so people will buy them. Also for some reason, employees damage items when putting them on the shelves. I wanted buy a cool vintage silk scarf but whoever was putting the price on it folded the scarf over and made like 4 huge holes in the very delicate fabric. They also clip purses and hang them so they get damaged. I go here all the time because its right next to stop and shop and I find worthwhile things 1/3 of the time. Their one redeeming factor is an ok book section and the fact that they offer senior discounts. read more

I LOVE this thrift store. Visit every Tues. as I am 55+ & you get 30% off the whole store when you reach this age!!! Love their special sales on Mondays now. Ali (the Manager) is so nice. I find great things (ceramic Christmas tree with all the lites!), plates, pillow cases, kitchen items, men's & ladies golf shirts (many never worn, still have original price tags on them), garden accessories, books.....on & on. It is better than running around to several garage sales-you save on gas $$ and you can charge your finds~~~ what is better than that?
