Great little bbq/ burger dive. Right across the street from our Airbnb. We were walking around and decided to try it. The tritip is phenomenal. I got Onion rings as a side were delicious. The staff is very friendly and made sure our to go order had extra sauces and napkins. Highly recommend.

This place is great. The food and service were both great. We got the pork loin sandwich with onion rings and loaded tots to share. The portions are good size and the pork loin was so tender and with a nice smoke to it. It was juicy and the roll it was on was soft with a nice crispy toast on the flat top. The onion rings were nice and crispy. They did offer ranch with them but the ranch was a bit bland. It needed a bit of zest to it. The loaded tots were were huge. They were amazing . The service was amazing. We ordered at the register and they brought it out to us and checked up on us. Very friendly and we enjoyed everything. Definitely going back.

A new venture in Morro Bay that lived up to its name. Located in Downtown Morro Bay this business has brought a tasty locale for fans of bbq. The seating area offers two-person or multi-seat tables. My buddy and I both ordered the tri-tip sandwich. A pillowy french roll that is grilled and the filled with a good amount of their tri-tip, and dressed with a little bbq sauce. Staff were very friendly, and service was prompt. The only drawback was that they are not yet offering beer or wine. I look forward to my next visit to try their other menu items.

Was excited to try the new smoke house in Morro Bay as it has been awhile since we've had good BBQ in town. The spot is basically the same layout as the last place, very limited seating so no good for larger groups but just perfect four a couple of people to sit and watch Main St. Staff was nice and friendly and recommended the fried Ravioli. I'm glad they did, those were absolutely delicious. Ordered the smoked Tri Tip Sandwich and was disappointed. It was smaller than I had hoped, the bread seemed like the stuff you buy at the grocery store and the meat was overcooked and a bit dry. The bbq sauce was good, but not enough to save the sandwich. I definitely want to give them another try since I've heard lots of good things, but getting well done dry tri tip at a bbq place is not a good first impression. The meat had a nice light smokiness to it and seemed lightly seasoned, so it would be great to try when it is fresher.

Sat in Legends bar. Must say that this is a beautiful collaboration. Get awesome good and soda at savory smoke and eat and drink at the bar

    Trip tip sandwhich and tots

Tri tip sandwhich is you gotta upgrade the side to tater tots. The sandwhich is thinly sliced but great portion.. And their ribs are great and generous amount also. New mandatory stop on morro bay. "This was not a paid promotion"

    The chicken nachos.

I would eat these all the time if I lived in the area. The smoked chicken was unbelievably good. The chips are the best homemade chips I've ever had. I want these again just from worrying the review. Great food! Great service!

I usually get the Tri Tip sandwich but today I tried the new Crispy Chicken Sandwich with Chips and man that was amazing! The coating on the chicken perfect and the chicken was so tender. Man it's gonna be a hard choice next time everything is so delightful ! Service was amazing ! Always a great friendly family atmosphere. The owners are great they always make us feel welcome. Will definitely be back next time in Morro Bay!

Unfortunately, their sandwiches are about the same - at least the one I try. I ordered a turkey on a roll with lettuce, cheese, and mayo. The bread was still SO DRY that I couldn't like the sandwich at all. I did order a small pizza and a hotdog. These are new to the menu since I was there last. After waiting an incredibly long amount of time to get my order, I was at least happy with the pizza and hot dog. Glad to have a hot dog option next to the theatre so I can sneak one in!! I ordered extra cheese on the pizza but I didn't need to. I am happy to upgrade my star rating to 3-stars for those two new items. I am picky about the bread for my sandwiches and honestly the only one I liked was when you had the sliced wheat bread option available one day as a fluke. I will go to Mr. Pickles for my sandwiches from now on, but I might stop in for a pizza or a dog.

We also tried the CA shrimp roll, which had similar dressing/seasoning and was just as tasty. They also have slaw or "flat fries" option, which we opted for and they were so good! Memorial Day weekend on the Central Coast is always a negotiation with chaos. Tourists flood the…read morebeaches, traffic crawls through Pismo, and every scenic overlook suddenly becomes a photoshoot for people who discovered the central coast three days ago. So my girlfriend and I did what locals do this afternoon: we tried to escape the madness and disappear into Los osos for a few hours. Not that there's any "sneaking into" High Street Deli. That line is eternal. It exists outside the laws of time and tourism. Rain or shine, weekday or holiday weekend, there will always be a crowd gathered outside chasing the same thing: the perfect sandwich on the perfect California afternoon. And honestly? They're right. Nothing beats a High Street sando on a sunny day. You grab a Dutch Punch and a cold Cali Squeeze and suddenly everything slows down. The sandwich arrives absurdly overstuffed with layers of turkey, extra bacon, jalapeño havarti, onion, tomato, avocado, chipotle mayo, Dutch crunch bread that's barely surviving the structural pressure holding the whole masterpiece together. It's messy in the way all truly great food is messy. No pretension. No carefully curated "elevated deli experience." Just pure Central Coast comfort engineered for people who spent the morning surfing, hiking Montana de Oro, or sitting in beach traffic questioning their life choices. And the Cali Squeeze? Citrus beer sweating in the afternoon heat while ocean air drifts through Los Osos. That's the high locals chase all summer long. What hurts is admitting publicly how good this place really is. Every local wants to protect High Street like a secret fishing spot. You want visitors to enjoy the coast, just maybe somewhere else first. But denying High Street its flowers would feel dishonest. Because this place is the heartbeat of the Central Coast in summertime. The patio fills with surfers, old locals in sun-faded hats, Cal Poly kids, dogs asleep under picnic tables, couples lingering over beers because nobody here is ever truly in a hurry. Somebody's talking about swell conditions. Somebody else is debating whether to head to Morro Bay after lunch. The smell of sandwiches, sunscreen, and salt air hangs over everything. It's not glamorous. It's better than glamorous. It's real. And somewhere between the first bite of a Dutch Punch and the first sip of a Cali Squeeze, you remember why people who grow up on the Central Coast never fully leave even when they move away. Because they spend the rest of their lives trying to recreate afternoons like this.

Problem...the stores have different items. I had chosen a sandwich that wasn't offered here. We filled out our order forms. I recreated that sandwich to the best of my ability. It had turkey and veggies and cranberry on Dutch crunch bread. We also ordered a Dutch Punch sandwich and a build your own chicken cutlet sandwich. We got two orders and fries, an order of onion rings and 3 fountain drinks. The food arrived at different times as the order was ready. All the food was good. The sandwiches were good sized with lots of filling. The fries were great. The onion rings were the star. They were light and crispy and we all loved them. Parking is not easy in this area. It took a few circles to find a spot. We got a table right away. There was a kitchen-like play area for the kids. That kept them busy while we waited 20-30 minutes for food. Cute shop. They had stickers and baked goods and gifty items. Woman at the counter was a little impatient with customers. One surprise was the total price. Three sandwiches, three drinks, two fries and an order of onion rings plus tip was almost $97. Never had such an expensive sandwich in my life!

We were lucky enough to snag the last almond croissant, and what a treat it was. The exterior had a sweet, delicate crunch, and with each bite, rich almond filling oozed out for the perfect balance of texture and flavor.
