Best Thai food in Nashville!!…read more I love Degthai and have eaten here numerous times, both in person and for takeout. The portions are gigantic and the food is delicious. Service is always friendly and quick. I used to think the mild Pad Kra Pao was pretty spicy, but I think they have decreased the spice levels because now it is extremely manageable. They have chili oil and other spices at the table in case you need to add more spice. Recently, I've been loving the red curry. It is packed full of meat, vegetables, and flavor. It easily feeds me for 2 or even 3 meals They have an outdoor patio in the summer. Not a great view of the road, but it's a nice patio. The inside is cute and Thai-themed.

Parking can be a little cramped so keep that in mind if you're visiting during a busy time. For the service itself, it's the kind of place where you simply order at the cashier and take a number to your table. They've always been quick to drop off our food. I ordered the Street Dumplings during my last visit and they were fantastic. It's hard to find good soup dumplings in these parts so I'll probably be ordering these as an appetizer every time now. The Chicken Red Curry was also delicious, if a little mild. I just wish I lived closer so I could eat here more often!

I was able to coordinate the arrival of his flight to our reservation time, and it worked out perfectly! My son arrived just a few minutes before us. He followed us into the parking garage designated for the restaurant (free for 2 hours with validation). She was completely unaware as he walked up to her car door and tapped on the window. As you can imagine, she screamed with happiness! This was the start to our wonderful time at V Modern. It was busy for a Wednesday night. The music was loud as we walked in but nicely muted at our table (11) behind the bar. Our server Stef was engaging and attentive. While going over the menu, we spoke briefly about our visit to Nashville and our daughter finishing her Master's program. He mentioned that he had finished his studies as well. Happy congratulations all around! We started with the Focaccia Tartufata and Marinara Meatballs -- delicious! Save some of the bread to pick up all that tasty marinara! For our mains -- Black Truffle Pipette, Scampi Moderni and Lobster Ravioli. The pastas in all our dishes were perfectly sauced and al dente. Nice portions and lovely presentations. Dessert was festive with the Cannoli Concierge. A server arrived with a tray lit with sparklers. Each cannoli was then customized and prepared tableside. Our son opted for the gelato. As we finished, Stef let us know that the cannolis were complimentary in celebration of our daughter. :) Beautiful restaurant with upscale decor. Ample seating inside and outside. Excellent service. Just a minor note that it got a bit hot at one point during our dinner. As we looked around, other customers were fanning themselves. It seemed that the a/c may have turned off. But this did not take away from our overall experience. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in Nashville!

V Modern Italian The…read morerestaurant itself is beautiful and "modern" designed as the name suggests. It is very well designed and definitely ~feels~ upscale. We started off with a big espresso martini tower. There were 12 drinks and they were strong, the only downside was the size was maybe 6-8oz and the price was pretty staggering at $150 but that is mostly for show, so to be expected. Next we got Meatballs as an appetizer. I would say there's nothing too special about these (which will be mirrored by most things later.) The meatballs tasted ~fine~, there wasn't anything special but also nothing off putting about it. For the main dishes I got the Black Truffle Pipette for $32. The dish came with braised short rib, but it was pretty disappointing with the portion of short rib. There were maybe 2 good bites of short rib in the entire dish. I also didn't get much of any black truffle taste, the pasta itself was somewhat bland in general. The next dish was Manicotta Della Casa for $23. This dish is hard to explain as it has a lot going on but essentially tastes like a pizza with all the toppings scraped off in a dish together with no crust. It wasn't bad by any means just a little interesting. Overall this was my second impression of the place, I haven't been impressed either time to be honest. I knew it was going to be like this due to the "tourist trap" energy it gives off. Don't get me wrong it's very fun, servers are good and lively, but I think the food just doesn't do it for me necessarily for the price point of the dishes. As one of my favorite food reviewers says "pasta should never be overpriced, it's a poor man's dish."

Parking is free (must be validated inside the store) once you're seated. When it comes to the food, overall it was pretty good and reasonably priced. Lots to pick from, including Pho in a Thai restaurant. However, not sure if it was missed by our server, but the spice level (we got everything on a level 4 out of 5) was nowhere to be found/noticed. Pretty sure it was not spicy at all, we all added the chili oil which helped tremendously. On the other hand, protein was minimal. The portion was underwhelming and especially the chicken in the curry and shrimp in the fried rice. Lastly, the Thai iced tea felt more "sweet/sugary" rather than being actual tea. My personal rating: 3.8/5

It's more than a grocery store--it's a gourmet food experience. Located on Broadway, this store has clearly been designed with convenience in mind. The underground parking garage offers two hours of complimentary parking with validation, and my favorite feature had to be the shopping cart escalator that takes your cart between the store and the garage. Whoever thought of that deserves a raise. Inside, it feels like they thought of everything. There's a full-service coffee and craft beer bar (BroadBrews), hot and cold prepared food bars, pizza, soup, sushi, a beautiful bakery, an impressive cheese department, a self-serve mochi ice cream station, gelato, an olive bar, and even a grind-your-own nut butter station. There's also an Amazon return counter, fast self-checkout, free Wi-Fi, and a bright upstairs café with plenty of seating, outlets, restrooms, and even a microwave for customers. My favorite part is wandering through the specialty departments. The cheese counter, smoked fish, caviar, artisan chocolates, fresh bakery, and regional products from local Nashville makers make this feel like an old-school gourmet market in the best possible way. It's beautifully merchandised, impeccably organized, and full of discoveries around every corner. Whether you're picking up groceries, grabbing lunch, meeting a friend for coffee, or just browsing for culinary inspiration, this Whole Foods delivers. It's another stellar Nashville destination that absolutely lives up to the Whole Foods name. Life is too short not to eat well or travel well. If you're exploring downtown Nashville, carve out a little time to wander through this store. You never know what delicious discovery you'll take home.
