Just got back from Valentine's dinner with my hubby. Thought we'd try a new place. It's always a bit nerve wracking trying a new place. Well we were very excited when the appetizer of chicken satay was served to us by the chef herself! It tasted even better than it smelled! When trying a new place I generally stick to popular dishes. I got the pad see ew and hubby got the ginger mushroom chicken. The flavors of both dishes were clean, fresh, and perfectly cooked. They are still new, a little under staffed, but very friendly. Decent portions with average pricing - quality is outstanding. Definitely looking forward to trying more dishes in the near future. read more

We reached the restaurant 30 minutes before closing time, yet they were very accommodating. Most of the menu item was catered to our vegetarian need and without losing its true authentic Thai flavor. Definitely a place to try if looking for Thai. read more

Above average. But I have high standards when it comes to Thai food. The larb was particularly good. The Yam Woon Sen was a little lacking in flavor, but the noodles were not overcooked which is frequently a problem. The Green curry was just okay. And fried rice was a little above average. I recently had the most wonderful dining experience at Savory Thai in Oceanside. This restaurant is a hidden gem! It isn't very noticable from the outside but has ample parking and a quaint enviting entry. The beauty begins when you step inside. I was greeted immediately and seated in a beautifully decorated room full of flowers, table linnens and tasteful art. The staff was very attentive throughout the entire meal, smiling and interactive. Since I can't eat spicy things I asked for level zero and was amazed at how flavorful the food was even without the heat. I also ordered chicken tomka, a delicious soup which I would definately ask for again. The restaurant has a beautiful wine bar which has quite a good selection to choose from. We asked for plum wine which the owner told us had just recently been added to their wine list. The plum wine was incredible, served chilled with a real plum in the glass. Best plum wine I have ever tasted! At the close of the meal, the owner herself brought out a wonderful mango rice desert for us to try since it was our first visit to the establishment. What a delicious desert and nice surprise. It's refreshing to find fantastic food, service, and ambiance all in one place. The servings are more than ample and Prices very reasonable for all we enjoyed that evening. I would highly recommend Savory Thai to family and friends and I look forward to going again myself. Upon entering blown away. Nice ambiance. Beautiful music. A place for friends and couples to dine. I came alone lol but I was really craving Thai food. Very nice staff! I'm blown away. Beautiful setting and nice touch of pillows! If your kids aren't well behaved don't bring them here. I ordered Tom yum spicy soup with shrimp. Thai tea and a cup of steamed rice. Thai tea is delicious. Tom yum was hot and very good. Loved the shrimp and tangy flavor. It is kind of quiet in here but in a good relaxing way. You Can have a romantic date with a significant other or even a get together with some close friends. It's intimate in here and it's kind of awkward that I'm alone but I'm here for the food. Also what made me really happy was that a piece of ice and a splash of water fell on the table from my drink. When he brought me my cloth napkin I tried using it to clean it up and didn't even ask for paper napkins or anything because it was something I could've done myself. Within 10 seconds he came back and cleaned it up without me even asking. A very observant man! So basically in conclusion of you want great food with great atmosphere and a great staff come here!
