The staff at the MORROW location made sure everything that we needed was up to par and correct. Me being a new groom with groomsmen needed support and advice for the right look and these guys made sure that came true. When it was time to do our fitting, we noticed that some adjustments needed to be made. With the leadership of Michael Hill-Stewart, this team made sure we were taken care of. The absolute worst experience - associates & suits. For our May wedding we decided to go with Savvi formalwear to all suit rentals for my husband and his groomsmen. At this point, have changed our store location with Savvi, 3 times over 4 months and are currently waiting on a refund for this entire experience ... It has been a nightmare since our very first in-store meeting with our first location and first associate that we met. When we arrived to begin with the suit we came to preview actually didn't even exist with the company yet, even though the associate told us we could come in and try it on. We had multiple previews of suits and with every single preview something didn't fit correctly. We were given no guidance, no advice on how to shop/ fit size/ or color options, and were repeated promises that someone would help us. Not once were we contacted by the store themselves to see how we were doing throughout this process. Marshall, at the Cumberland store in particular (Our Second Location), made rude/sarcastic comments to us at every encounter we had with him and made no attempt to fix an issue with a suit he promised to help us find .. and actually never contacted us again. I would not recommend this store, or working with Marshall to anyone. We've wasted time, energy, and money and have nothing. read more

Tuxedo fitting is done by appt only. I made an appt and showed up 10 minutes prior to and waited for 20 minutes and nobody showed up. Nobody answered the phone. Low rating is warranted and I should've never even attempted to use this company. read more

I stopped by this Savvi during my lunch break to get measurements taken for a tux I'm wearing as part of a friend's wedding. I'm picking up the tux at a Savvi location in Minneapolis, where the wedding is being held. So I had my measurements taken in Atlanta and called them into the store in Minneapolis. This Savvi is located inside Cumberland Mall across from Jason's Deli. At lunchtime, there was only one employee working, DeMario, the manager. He was friendly and had a joking sense of humor. He already knew which measurements I needed and took them quickly. He also had me try on a pair of pants and shoes. While taking my measurements, he also helped out two other parties. Quite the multitasker. At the end, he printed out my measurements from a computer (e.g. pants outseam, chest, over arm, insleeve, etc.) and stamped it with a "Savvi Certified Fit Guarantee," whatever that means. I was in and out in a matter of minutes. I was going to leave this place 4 stars, but when I returned to the office, I noticed a black ink stain on my pants. When DeMario was measuring my hip with his measuring tape, I'm pretty sure he accidentally nicked me with his pen (the size/location of the mark is consistent with where his hand was). These are one of my favorite pairs of pants, so that's annoying. He should be more careful next time. Fortunately, rubbing alcohol got most of the ink out. Update (3/5/2012): Less than 48 hours after posting my review, I was contacted by someone at Savvi who offered to arrange to have my stained pants cleaned. I declined the offer since I was already able to get most of the stain out myself, but I thought it was responsible and kind of the company to reach out and make that gesture. read more

I booked Savvi for my wedding in October 2017. All of my groomsmen were coming from out of state and I didn't trust many of the online vendors, so I was looking for a very specific type of place: one that could offer an in-person touch and location for me, while still being reliable. Savvi Formalwear was where I ended up, and results were mixed. On the one hand, if personal service and availability matters to you, Savvi has that in spades. Will, Jeff, and the rest of the Savvi staff are seriously top-notch people, who make you feel comfortable throughout the experience. I never once felt pressured to sign up with them, and they were nothing but courteous. Excellent service all around. Where I take issue with Savvi is that they got several of my groomsmen's sizes wrong, as well as my own. This wouldn't ordinarily be a big deal, but it led to a lot of unwanted stress on the day of with my groomsmen having to drive all the way back to the store and make it back in time for the wedding. That was...not fun. It additionally doesn't make sense because all were measured by a tailor and those measurements were passed along verbatim to Savvi so.... yeah. However-- and this is relevant-- they mentioned several times throughout the process the "backup plan" for if sizes were wrong, which seems to indicate (at least given my own experience) this happens regularly. Not a good look for something that should be relatively simple and straightforward. That being said, everything worked out okay in the end, I got married to the love of my life, and all was well. Even so, I can't give them a hearty recommendation due to having so many mix-ups for such a small group. If you're screwing up 3 out of 6 suit orders, something has gone terribly wrong. At least you can trust the staff to be nice and patient with you when the bigger organization/company screws you over. read more

Update on the Savvi Formal Wear Experience: I received a phone call today from Savvi Formal Wear. Apparently, even after my frustrated email to Savvi, they still thought I was using their services for tuxedo rental. I received a response from Savvi, so you can imagine my surprise to get a phone call from the store. More surprising to me was the fact that the man on the phone asked me why we had not sent in measurements for the bridal party. He added, "Those measurements were due a week ago." Great, so if I had in fact decided to continue with Savvi as a vendor after the horrendous experience I had with them previously (yeah right), they decided to wait until a WEEK after the measurements are due to let me know that measurements are due. Wow, what GREAT customer service. And this was the kicker. When I told the man that we had registered a complaint with Savvi and decided to go with Men's Wearhouse instead, he said, "Well, good luck with getting your tuxes from Houston!" Ok, seriously, if you're going to be bitter about someone using another vendor's services, do it on your own time and to your own people. Do NOT wish someone ill over the phone or even joke about another vendor's services. I found that in the height of poor taste and EXTREMELY unprofessional. Oh well, just goes to show you, Savvi's customer service sucks the big one. If they can find it. read more

Savvi was listed as the preferred tux provider for the HRC Annual Dinner, but we didn't know that when my partner and I chose to look at Savvi for our tux rental for that event. We were happy to learn later that they were gay-friendly. The staff was quick and professional. They knew their stock well, the fittings were fast and accurate, and the tux I rented needed no further work once the initial fitting's alterations were made. The 8pm closing time really helped me, because I work business hours. They have moved out of the mall and into "Cumberland Festival" plaza, which is also a plus, because it means avoiding mall parking and makes it easier to find the first time, not having to wander around a mall. read more

I rarely feel strongly enough about something to spend the time and energy to leave a review for something like this but as it has the potential to ruin one of the most special days of your life I would like to leave some feedback about my experience with Savvi redux rential. It started with me being tasked of getting fitted for my best friends wedding. I went to the location a few months ahead of the event for them to take my measurements for the rental. The associate who took my measurements was nice enough but seemed to be in a rush to do everything. At that location they were did not have the items on hand to try on and used different pieces to make adjustments to. As we rushed through the process I was trying to explain to the associate what type of fit I wanted and how things should look. He somewhat dismissed my concerns by telling me that the items I would be receiving would fit like I was describing because what I was trying on was the regular fit and I was going to be getting the slim. As someone who works in the retail industry and sells suits and tuxedos frequently I knew what I was looking for in terms of fit. Fast forward a few months to when i get notified 3 days before my friends wedding that the items were ready for pickup. I went in to pick up the items and it was a bit of a joke. The pants they had ordered me were 8 inches too short, apparently the guy taking the measurements had transposed my out seam measurement with my waist. So they had to overnight another pair of pants. The pants were also a bit too big so I requested them order me the next size down as well. The shirt was also not the trim fit so they also had to order another one, same with the vest. Now the items are very adjustable but there are still limitations to how much you can tighten or loosen each piece. Basically they had to order everything again in order to get the sizing right. So I have to come back the next day to have another fitting, which caused me to by late for work. The next day I come back and they got most of the items correct, except for the vest, they had forgotten to order the next size down. This is two days before the wedding. I was unable to come back a third time but they were able to give the vest I needed to one of the other guys in the party to bring to the wedding. Day of of the wedding myself and the groom's partys are doing the getting ready photos and I discover that I was not the only one who's items did not fit very well. Another buddy had a shirt that they "sized" up in to get it to fit however then the neck was ridiculously too large and we couldn't even they the clip on tie to fit and I had to use paper clips as an extender but the collar was so low on his neck because it was about 3 inches too big. His vest also has a broken buckle which I has to tie into a knot, thankfully it was hidden by his jacket. Another guy had the same problem I had with his vest being far too large and we had to pin it tight at the back because the strap could not be tightened further. Other mistakes were minimal (scuffed shoes, and stained shirts) and I was not going to let my frustration with the situation ruin my friends special day. When I went to drop off my items the day after the wedding I wanted to share my frustration with Savvi so that they could use it as a learning experience and hopefully make changes to their business model to prevent this from happening to some other party. The lady I spoke with was very understanding and apologetic of the situation and told me she would be sharing what I told her to managment and that they would call me back to follow up. This never happened. After I week of two I had forgotten this train wreck and let bygones be bygones. Until I was reminded by my terrible experience when I tossed the recipe. The six of us in the party paid over $1000 for what I would describe as a piss poor job. The lack of follow up was probably the most disappointing. Savvi did not show that it really cared about my negative experience as it was already money in the bank. I had not even demanded a refund. If you are planning a tux or suit rental go somewhere else. Or better yet go by your own, it's not as much as you think if you look for it. read more

Had the worst experience & terrible customer service at the Cumberland location, for my wedding that occurred this past weekend. Starting off of my groomsmen, who's 6'3, was given a child jacket, after being called to come pick up his suit. Luckily we got that resolved, with a random jacket that just happened to be his size. 2nd, my best man was told his suit was ready on Thursday, when he arrived the only thing was a jacket. No pants, no vest, no tie, nothing...keep in mind my wedding is Sunday (Fun Fact: Their closed on Sundays). The rude worker, told him come back the next day (Friday, 2 days till wedding). When he did, this time, everything was present besides the green vest. Instead of saying, we'll find the vest for you, the rude worker said "I can give you a gray vest". When we clearly ordered green vest for all the groomsmen. Come to find out the green vest, was never ordered. Forgot to mention, they don't answer phone calls at this location btw. Saturday is here (Day before the Wedding), called 4 times, in which the rude worker picked up finally, trying to blame fedex for the mishap. Called back asking about closing times, he hung up on me. At this point, I jump in my car to head straight there. The rude worker, calls back to say he's going to fedex now to pick up the vest. Being its a day before a wedding, we had rehearsal at 4p. Ironically the same time they close. At 350p, the rude worker, says "I have the vest ready with the suit". Sent a friend to pick it up, after rehearsal dinner & etc...we find out the suit was missing pants. Here we are Sunday (Wedding Day), Savvis is of course closed at this point & I have a best man without pants to his suit. Let that sink in...the best man in a wedding is missing pants. Luckily the wedding was awesome, here we are on Monday, after calling 3 times & leaving a voicemail, the rude worker answers the phone on the 4th try. You would think after explained, you would hear some type of remorse & apologies, he responded "Oh yeah, the pants are actually right here in front of me". After cuzzin him out & demanding refunds, I asked to get his regional manager information, the rude worker refused & said "I'll have him call you". If u go this location & the rude worker, Chris, is there, prepare for BS. Horrible experience with Savviis, especially this location. At least I warned you lol read more

Savvi provided the suits for our daughter's wedding. They did a great job getting everyone ready for the big day as expected. Where they far exceeded our expectations was after the wedding. The photographer didn't get any pictures of our daughter,, the bride, by herself in her wedding gown. That's right, not a single one of just her. Nor did they get any outside photos of her with her parents or sister/maid of honor. So we "recreated" the day as best we could and the photography company sent out a different photographer to take our photos. Savvi suited up my husband, father of the bride, just as they did on her wedding day. We will now have some lovely father daughter photos of our little bride. I can't thank them enough! They were so kind, helpful, understanding and eager to help us capture some great photos that will look as if they were taken the day of the wedding. Highly recommend them! read more

Terrible customer service. I used them for my wedding and had so many issues trying to give them measurements and pay for the rentals. I visited them at least 10 times to get everything sorted out. When we finally got the suits, the suits were poor quality. We went with top of the line Calvin Klein suits that were 200 a piece to rent and the stitching was coming loose on most of the suits. During pictures, we had to spend time fixing the suits so the pictures turned out ok. When we complained to savvi, they gave us the run around. Will never use them again. read more

I went in today for a tux on short notice and very last minute. I was treated as if my needs were top priority. I was fitted with tuxedo pants that were tailored to fit me on the spot, shirt, bow tie and suspenders. I also got cuff links all for a great price and with excellent customer service!!! My husband and I had a really nice experience working with Jabari and Jeff in preparation for our September 10th wedding. We were greeted promptly upon walking into the store. Thereafter, during every visit, they called us by our names which made for a very personable experience. I never felt like they were mistaking us for another couple they'd met, and they always remembered our needs. I had been freaking OUT about bow tie and necktie alternatives (I wasn't crazy about the rental tie options anywhere). Once we pinpointed the styles we wanted, I asked for Jeff and Jabari's opinions during try-on appointments and they weighed in to help plus ordered styles that made for a better fit for my husband and he was comfortable during the entire event. I needed to get some tuxedos for my wedding, and figured this place was about the same as Men's Wearhouse. I was wrong - it's better! They had a cool system online that allowed my groomsmen to submit their measurements online, which was convenient and made the final fitting very easy. I found all the staff to be quite friendly and personable, which I never expect from these kinds of places. But they managed to make it more fun, and that made it less of a chore. Like someone else mentioned, they don't just leave you standing there, but try to recognize you and help you out even if there are other customers. They also made several calls before the wedding came just to ask if I needed help or any assistance - they did a good job of making me and my wife feel special and relaxed. One of my groomsmen's jackets didn't fit initially, but I was glad to see they were prepared and had several different sizes of the same tux in the back so they could switch it out with no hassle. I liked their hours - they stay open late enough so you have plenty of time to take things back, which is huge. Speaking of which, it was really easy dropping off our stuff after the wedding. We had been in and out so much that by this time we were recognized by the staff, which was nice. We were on our way to the airport, so we were in a little of a rush. I handed over my tux bag, expecting there to be a long, drawn out check-in process to make sure everything was there, but they took the bag, congratulated us and that was it! We walked out of the store in 3 seconds, which was great. It was nice to see that they respected the customer enough to not obsessively check every item and slow us down. Overall, quite recommended. Savvi knows their stuff, they have a wide selection of swanky tuxes, they'll give you advice, make it fun, and explain it all clearly. I have to give a shout out to Will Guy at Savvi Formalwear on Cobb Parkway. We needed a tux coat for my son for his band uniform. We had everything else. Not only did I find that Savvi seems to be the only place in town that will sell tux pieces separately but they were able to get me a jacket that was not a standard size the next business day. This meant my son looked terrific for his band pictures. I know there are a number of bands that require the boys to wear a tux, if yours is one of them I would highly recommend Savvi. Terrific customer service, a very economic price given how many you will buy during High School, and Will is the best. Thanks Will and Savvi for saving the day! read more

Savvi Formalwear rocks, I went to the location in the Cumberland Mall in May, after I just had left another formalwear shop looking for tuxedos for my wedding that took place August 25, 2012. When I arrived the store they were busy with other customers and as soon as I walked in I was greeted by the staff, which that was surprising to see that happen because in the other shop it took a little while for them to say anything to me even though they were busy as well. It took them about 15 min for them to get to me which I didn't mind because we were still looking for that right tuxedo for me. The Manager Demario introduced himself and I told him that we were looking for tuxedo for our wedding and he started smiling and started asking questions about our wedding. Before I knew it he started dressing outfits and pulling out coats and vests. My wife started smiling because the other Formalwear shop didn't even do that. I really wanted to try on the tuxedo and Mr. Nelson told me that he didn't have my size in but he would be glad to order it in and have me try it on. I went back to go and try the tuxedo on, we loved the way it looked everything was just right, we knew that we had our outfit picked for the wedding. As time was getting close to our wedding, Tekedria made sure that all of our guys for wedding was fitted. When the time came for use to pick up some of the groomsmen from out of town came to try their tuxedo on. some alterations had to be done and they made sure that everyone went out looked just right . My groomsmen kept talking about Demario the whole time about how funny and friendly he was.My wedding was just right, everyone looked perfect. I would recommend everyone to go to Savvi in the Cumberland Mall for any occasion they really know what they are doing. The experience that my husband and I had at this location was terrible. Our wedding was in June and we began our journey with Savvi during April. The first day we went into the store, we were greeted by the new guy. He told us that he was brand new and that my husband was his first fitting. Due to this, I asked for clarification on the items we selected from the other 2 employees in the store, one of which was the assistant manager I believe. The biggest question that we had was if the pants that he tried on for size were going to fit the same as the "slim fit" suit that my husband had selected to wear. We were assured by all 3 employees that YES they would fit the exact same. We decided on a suit. A few weeks later, I received a follow up call from the store manager, Demario, to see if we wanted to proceed with our order. At this time, I also asked Demario about the fit of the pants for the suit. He reassured me that the pants would fit the exact same. Well, guess what... when they came in on the Thursday before the wedding on Saturday they fit completely different then the original ones that were previously fitted. At this point, we had less than 24 hours before we needed to be on our way to our rehearsal for the wedding. When my husband went in to do the fitting on Thursday, he said he appeared to be interrupting "a date" that Demario was having with some girl while playing his "slow jams" in the background. Demario was in no hurry to assist in the fitting of the pick up on this Thursday. After figuring out that the pants were not going to work, Demario told my husband he would have him another pair by noon the next day and just to come by sometime after noon on Friday. I proceeded to call and ask if Demario could have the courtesy to call us when the pants arrived since we were needed to leave town by 2:00 at the latest. Demario did call us when the pants arrived, we went and tried them on and they were a different type of ridiculous fit. With 2 hours before we needed to be out of town, I asked Demario what he was going to do to fix this issue. I also brought up the fact that 4 employees at the store had lied about the fit of the pants. He tried to tell me again that the pants were the same. He made my husband try on the "try on" pants again and they fit perfectly- again, nothing like the ones that matched the suit we had selected. At this point, he pulled up the account and told me "Sweetie" this isn't your fault(one I'm not your sweetie and two I'm clear that it's not my fault). He went into the back and miraculously found a pant that worked better than either of the 2 pants that were previously tried on. The pants still didn't fit the same as the try on pants, but we made work for our Wedding Day. We were never given an explanation as to what happened and where the mystery pants that were pulled out of the back came from. My gut tells me, the third pair of pants, and the ones that we went with, were the ones that were supposed to be put with his suite originally. All this being said we were late to our rehearsal. Once we arrived at our rehearsal, we found out that one of the other guys in the wedding party had similar issues at a different location. This location tried to make their customer wait until 2:00 on the wedding day to get their suit completed. TERRIBLE service and approach to building repeat customers. read more

They were, hands down, the most professional and had the best selection (and best looking) options for tuxes. He was able to easily help us select exactly what we were looking for, giving great input and suggestions. Picking up my tux was simple and quick and my groomsmen had absolutely no issues either. I got married last march and I'm just so very grateful to Savvi for making it all so easy for me. I wish all the companies I dealt with were like that. My wedding was in Atlanta, because both my husband and I grew up there and our families are still located there. We currenly live in Cleveland, Ohio. and my husband's groomsmen were all over the country. some were in Atlanta, which helped but others were in NY, NJ, TX and one coming from Europe. We had no idea where to even start. I had attended a bridal show and given my info. So I was thrilled when I got the call about the tuxedos. They explained to me how it would work with their online wedding manager. The great thing about it was that I only had to set up an appt by phone with Demario from Cumberland mall which is the closest to me when I go to Atlanta. We finished everything over the phone. All I had to do was have all the men go to their nearest men's store, and get measured. I submitted their measurements online and few days before wedding, they were all able to get together and go in for their final fitting. Everything worked out great and they all looked awesome!!!!
