Update: After posting this review, the owner provided screenshots showing that messages had been sent through the Square app. While I appreciate receiving that information, it does not change my overall experience. My concern began before the missed appointment. In April, I reported to the front desk that I was no longer receiving appointment reminders and notifications and was told that the issue would be addressed and that the owner would contact me. To my knowledge, that never happened. I later learned that messages had been sent through Square, including one informing me that the salon would no longer be accepting future appointments. However, because I had already reported communication issues, I believe a direct phone call or email would have been a more appropriate way to handle the situation. I respect the salon's right to refuse future service. My disappointment is not about that decision. It is about the lack of effective communication and the fact that my concerns regarding the reminder system and my service experience were never truly addressed before the business relationship was ended. I was a customer for several months and genuinely wanted to resolve the issues. Unfortunately, I left feeling dismissed rather than heard.

I scheduled a last minute appointment with Claire (my usual esthetician) today. But it turns out she was unavailable and Max was there. I've gotten sugared by her before and wasn't really satisfied with my service as I realized I had a few open cuts / wounds due to the pulling of sensitive, thin skin way down there. So today my service was going well, we were having a great conversation then all of sudden a sugar pull and we both went dead silent for a few minutes. I already knew something went wrong. When we were done I knew I had some cuts down there. When I got home to pee I saw it. My lips looked like it had a big, open, popped pimple in it. And around it was pink and tender, like a cut. This made it difficult to wipe. I would post a picture but due to the area it is at, I am unable to. I would like to speak to a manager regarding this issues because this isn't the first time that's happened to me.
