I always enjoy the food at this restaurant! The tacos are so yummy. The floor to the restroom was a little sticky. The waitress was patient, kind and helpful with choosing food and drinks. We got the $10 meal with two tacos of your choice and a side!

Great Owners. Deep Cleaning, Fresh Faces, Fresh ingredients and Friendly Staff. Inside and Outside eating. Great place to sit back, have a beverage and get some tacos. They brought over part of their menu from one of their other restaurants as well. You can get Tex Mex and also some of there best items from other locations. Check out pics of menus but besides tacos, burritos and bowls you can get wings, burgers, sandwiches etc. They are bringing this location back and it's here to stay. This side of Downtown Ocala is where you want to be. All the new growth will be over here and Darren, Chris and all the staff will make sure this place will succeed. Thanks for saving this location. Be back soon. We are here early in its stage of a full opening. Can't wait to see this place start rocking again. Outside has space for live music, games and fresh air. See you all again real soon.

Was last at Sayulita Taqueria in August before the management/name change! Visited Say Taco tonight and we got the 2 tacos + 1 side for $10 deal, highly recommend! I got the 2 veggie tacos, the avocado one was great highly recommend. The squash/zucchini one was alright but not as much flavor so next time I'll get 2 avo ones! I got beans/rice side but next time Id probs get plantains! He got the birria taco and chicken/avo taco - the chicken/avo taco was extremely spicy and he has a high spice tolerance so beware! The passionfruit and mango margs were very reasonably priced at $7 each but we felt their potency was low and sweetness very high. Overall loved the outdoor seating which was the same as last time we were here. The atmosphere, music, and vibe is 10/10 and highly recommend this spot for a golden hour/dusk spot! Excited to come back!!

If you're looking for a chill and relaxing and fun cantina style Mexican dinner in Ocala, look no further than this spot. If you decide to sit out in the terrace, pick a table and the waiting staff will come to you. They have really nice signature drinks monthly and they don't disappoint. They have a full bar inside and the atmosphere is so relaxed. You're a stones throw from the famous Ocala downtown square, where there is lots to see and do.

My wife and I visited here previously so as we continued our journey south we decided to stop by and enjoy a quick bite before getting back into I-75. We stopped in on $1 wing Wednesday and ordered garlic and parmesan wings, Philly cheesesteak, and a chicken and rice. The wings tasted good but they were not garlic and parm flavored. This did not stop me from eating them though! The cheesesteak was perfect as were the fries. The chicken and rice was returned and a new one was made because the chicken looked old and was very dry. There was no fuss or issues with the return but if this was a to-go order we would've been highly upset. Thankfully the service here is good so we had no issues as I stated previously.

What a great little find in downtown Ocala! I needed a spot that was walking distance from the Hilton Garden Inn where we were staying and that also had vegan options, and this was the spot that hit all the marks. The outside is simple and unassuming, but the inside is cute and trendy with a nice outdoor patio as well. Food and service were great. Would definitely come back!

Outside area with picnic tables, beanbag toss, and you can take your dog.

We enjoyed sitting outside on a beautiful day. The weather was perfect and we could bring our dog. They also offered water for her, which was great. We got two tacos with a side for $10. Service was great too! Thanks Ocala for having a place you can sit outside with your dog.

I was in Ocala getting my car serviced and decided to grab a bite to go. This place is located in Downtown Ocala and hidden but a gem. I have read so many reviews on the tacos and the variety and I needed to check them out. When walking into the Sayulita, it's a cool, chill atmosphere. They have their menu blown up on the wall as you wait in the line to glance over. Based on the reviews - the Korean taco was a must try, so I decided on the Korean, the shrimp, and the fresh catch tacos. Looking over their daily special menu was an eye catcher that would definitely bring me back in from mojito Mondays to all day happy hour on Thursdays. Ordering my meal to go was a breeze and I patiently waited for about 10 minutes before my food was brought out to me. Since they were out of blue corn tortilla, I order all of my tacos on homemade corn. Starting with the Korean taco, this was definitely my favorite. The sweetness mixed with that kick of heat was a nice touch and I looked at the taco twice like wow. The bite from the coleslaw was a nice crunch factor into the taco since they were falling apart from the homemade tortilla. The shrimp was good as well, as it came with a boom boom sauce - I would say similar to bang bang sauce. The shrimp was nice and juicy and the pickled cabbage gave it a nice twang. Lastly, the fresh catch which was a crispy white fish - and crisped very nicely. It was topped with the pickled cabbage, mayo, and avocado. This was good but I wish it was blackened to give more of a baja taste. However, my meal was very good and also the prices here are super affordable - each taco was under $5. I really want to go back so I can have a full dine in experience where I can grab a drink and a sweet treat to end with. If you're in the Ocala area looking for chill ambience but great flavor, check out Sayulita Taqueria.

I saw a video about Sayulita on tik tok and realized it was about 2 blocks from my hotel. I walked over to grab a quick lunch. You order at the counter before seating yourself. The employee was friendly and my food was ready quickly. I started with the guacamole and chips. It's a large portion that I took over 1/2 back to my hotel. The flavor was ok but I added some hot sauce and would have preferred more veggies in it (onions, peppers, etc). For ny taxis I dejected the cowboy (steak, bacon, cojita cheese and cilantro) and the shrimp (pickled cabbage, boom boom sauce and cilantro). These are street taco size so if you're hungry you may need more than 2. However, with the large guac I was full after 2. The shrimp was great. The shrimp are fried and the cabbage is a perfect balance with the spice in the boom boom sauce. The cowboy was a bit salty and I didn't taste any bacon. It's a good place for a quick bite and I'll probably come back to try some of the other taco options.

Nice spot in downtown Ocala. Good prices and decent food. Service was quick and there's a nice outdoor seating eating area. Daily specials on the menu, nice bar in the back as well. Simple, flavorful eats.

We were on their bottom floor patio (which was lovely) but I did spy that they have a rooftop patio as well (what's not to love?!?). For my entree, I got their salmon entree. It's glazed and comes with a size of their crispy brussels and cheesy grits. The brussels were delish and their cheesy grits rank among some of the best I've had with sharp cheddar giving them the perfect flavor kick. The atmosphere was so pleasant. It is really awkward making this review, because I really did not get the full experience. I walked in, looked around, checked out the beer menu, asked if they had any of their own beers. It was a late lunch so the place wasn't all that busy...perhaps a total of 5 diners including us. We sat down and waited a minute or so before a server came by with menus and to take our drink orders. My wife asked her if they served Coke Zero. They don't, so my wife just ordered water with a lemon wedge and I ordered the same. The menu is quite varied, especially for "bar food" with various pizza options. After carefully reading the menu, my wife ordered the White Pi (roasted garlic ricotta, mozzarella, feta, and rosemary/garlic butter drizzle) and I ordered Ol Betsy (house carne asada, avocado, crispy onions, white rice drizzled with chimichurri sauce). My wife's pizza was served before my dish and I had to wait a minute or two before mine was served. I think well managed kitchens should be able to get dishes out at the same time. My wife liked her pizza. She liked the wood-fired char around the edges and the appropriate chew of the crust. She also liked the garlicky flavor and the fresh feta. My dish was quite good! The carne asada was so tender and the crispy onions with the slightly vinegary chimichurri sauce was an inspired combo...adding the creamy avocado further elevated the dish. Lunch for two came out to just under $38 with tip. We'll be back!

I was with my in-laws, and we were looking for a place to eat dinner in downtown while waiting for some other family to join us. It seems like on Mondays, there is not a ton open in the downtown Ocala area in terms of restaurants. This makes sense, but we chose to eat here primarily because it was open on a Monday, along with recommendations from those I was with. They had eaten here before, but it was my first time. The restaurant is located on a corner in downtown Ocala, near the square. Since it is in the city, there is no dedicated parking beyond what you find on the street. However, I have never had an issue finding parking in the general area when visiting this part of town, so unless it is a crowded evening or special event, you should have no issues. When we arrived, it was still early in the evening and we had no issue getting a table. As the night progressed, more people started coming in for their Bachelor viewing party. It seems like this draws a big crowd. They even announced that they were doing giveaways and other fun activities for the series season finale the following week. I imagine they hold other types of events as well, so that might be something to look out for if you are planning on stopping. We sat at a table near the front, and waited a couple minutes for the server to come by. She was, honestly, somewhat aggressive and not very kind. I tried to order a beer on the menu, and she went to make sure it wasn't out of stock. Then, I asked her about the Monday special on the menu, and she acted like she never even heard of it before. She stated that she didn't normally work on Mondays, but the manner in which this was communicated made it feel like it was my fault for inquiring about this. I ended up having a Garage Beer on tap, and it was serviceable. I also wanted to order the advertised $10 Grilled Cheese and Fries special, and got the D-Nice Way Grilled Cheese with this. I actually very much enjoyed the grilled cheese, but the fries were the star of the plate. They were crispy and crunchy, but not very thin. I had never had a fry quite like that! Would highly recommend giving them a try here at least once. Our food came out in a reasonable timeframe after we ordered. It was not too quick, but did not take forever, either. Besides what I mentioned previously, I was satisfied with the other service received. I thought the prices here, in general, were fair and on par with other restaurants that are similar. They run different specials during different days of the week, as outlined on the menu. For example, Monday is supposed to be $10 Grilled Cheese and Fries. I ordered this, but I am not confident I got it for this price. Someone I was with paid the bill, but the waitress did not seem to be aware of what this special actually was. So, if you are wanting to order a special, I would explicitly say that when ordering to be sure you get it. Overall, I enjoyed the vibes and the food at this place. It seems like they have activities several nights a week to bring in different crowds, along with specials on food and drinks. The service left a lot to be desired, as our waitress was not very friendly nor knowledgeable on the specials. I would be willing to give this another try, but hopefully with a different waitress.

The service is EXCELLENT! No waiting, no flagging down a waitress. They were beyond attentive, knowledgeable about the menu and so polite. My sweet and smoky rubbed wings were spot on, though. So were my husband's fries. Seasonings were spot on and perfectly fried without being greasy in the slightest. Our appetizer was the fried mushrooms. Usually, when you order fried mushrooms, they dump them out of a bag pulled from the freezer. THESE were totally different and super delicious! Almost like they were freshly hand-breaded and fried! Look at the pictures! Amazing! We were so full by the end that we took home 10 wings even though I only ordered 20 to begin with. Somehow my husband managed to plow through his entire sandwich and most of his fries (I helped just because they were so good) and his help with my wings didn't really make a dent in them, although he gets a star for good effort lol. Our first batch of bbq sauced wings were cold, as was my husband's shrimp in his po' girl sandwich, but both were quickly rectified by our fabulous waitress, Sarah. She divulged to us that she had only been working here a week, but she's doing one helluva job (in our opinion). Kept her cool and was well organized, made sure things were perfect for the customer.
