My first time visiting Sazani and it was such an amazing experience! The customer service was on point - the waiter and bartender was so nice and sweet, they truly made the experience great. I got peach mocktail and my friend got a lemon drop and both were delicious. And that crab cake app with both of the sauces WERE TO DIE FOR! SOOO GOOD!!! I got the fish and chips but substituted the chips for corn risotto and it was also so good! The risotto was creamy and cooked to perfection and the fish was nice and crispy. Not only was the food, drinks and customer service great but the atmosphere of the restaurant was so pleasant. Nicely decorated and light jazz music put the icing on the cake. The Chef no showed, the host walked out and left the sweet manager to fend for herself because he had a panic attack over a mean customer. Seriously dude? She was a champion and hosted while balancing the bar. Luckily it was super slow that night. We could only order a few things on the menu because the Sous chef was aas alone with no recipies??? Again, seriously??? The fish i ordered was not only fishy smelling but tasting. I will wait until they are open a full year to return so they can figure things out! read more

I recently heard about this very exciting addition to the restaurants on Shaker Square, and it was an immediate must try for me. Sazani Oceana is an upscale seafood restaurant with a variety of menu options to try. I had the opportunity to go twice in one week, and it did not disappoint. The decor is contemporary with hues of blue throughout. It is evident that great care was taken with creating ambiance for this restaurant from the light fixtures to the seating and even the restrooms. They also have a great bar area and a private dining room. Dishes my parties tried included the Crunchy Rock Shrimp Deviled Eggs, Clam Chowder (Soup du Jour), The Gilded Wedge, Seafood Pasta, Lobster Wellington, Center Cut Filet, Crispy Jumbo Shrimp, Fish & Chips and The Signature Wagyu Burger. Desserts we tried included the Dark Chocolate Pave, Burnt Honey & Lavender Crème Brûlée, Whipped Avocado & Cacao Mousse and two variations of the Artisanal Sorbet. Everyone raved about the food, including its presentation and cited the restaurant as an excellent dining choice. The portion sizes were great. I had leftovers to take for both the Seafood Pasta and the Seafood Bouillabaisse. Additionally, some of the combinations they curated were unexpected yet delightful. The menu has a lot of options and something for everyone, even if seafood isn't your thing. The owners and staff were very friendly and checked in to see how we were doing throughout our dining experience. There are still a number of items I would like to try, so return visits are on the horizon. I haven't been for brunch yet, but I definitely plan to try it as well. Food was very bland , service was ok... we knew it wasn't gonna be great when we walked in(just before 9pm) and asked if you guys are still serving food and those folks started looking at their watches. Excellent service and good. The octopus was FANTASTIC. Almost buttery soft to cut. Two giant tentacles. Lovely potato and tomato background that complemented the dish very well. The rock shrimp deviled eggs were more beautiful than flavorful. The charbroiled oysters were tasty little bites of garlic squish. The wagyu burger was super juicy and cooked perfectly rare and the gochujang aioli translated more into a sweet mayo than anything Korean red pepper but that's not bad. It was still a great burger with a super fresh brioche bun and the fries were seasoned perfectly too. All around great experience at 430pm on a Monday! read more

The food was amazing! The service was great and Nikiya was knowledgeable. I went with her recommendation of Lobster Wellington and it was great. The environment was chill mode, I love the "fire" at the bar. It was all that I expected. The rock shrimp double eggs were tasty! Side note use your hands and eat the whole egg in one bite, it is flavor explosion in your mouth(ladies even if you are on a date..lol) It's a great combination not to be missed. First time having apple with double eggs but it gave it a nice crunchy texture and hint of sweetness with the savory, heck just try it. I'll be back. read more

This was my first visit, and definitely not my last. I usually wait a couple of months before visiting a newly opened restaurant. A friend invited me to dinner, at Sazani Oceana, and I thought, let's go! We visited on a Thursday evening. We were warmly greeted by the hostess, upon entering the restaurant, which is always a hood sign! She was friendly, personable and welcoming. Once we were seated, we were greeted by, our server, Malik. Once again, a warm welcome. We proceeded to review the menu. Our server, provided recommendations, based on guest favorites. We placed our cocktail orders, I ordered a margarita, and my friend ordered an espresso martini. We also ordered the deviled eggs, topped with crispy rock shrimp, as a starter. The starter arrive a short time later, deviled egg filling was just ok, but the crispy rock shrimp, and thin slice of apple, on top off each egg, was a nice touch. My margarita, need a bit more depth and balance, but the charred pineapple garnish was a nice touch. My friend mentioned that the martini, as heavy on chocolate and light on liquor. We placed our dinner order. I ordered the jumbo shrimp with jojo potatoes and coleslaw. My friend ordered the whole fried branzino. Our entrees arrived, nice plated. The fried shrimp were cooked and seasoned perfectly, 5 jumbo shrimp, presented with tangy cocktail sauce, red cabbage slaw (just ok), and warm, seasoned jojos, very tasty! My friend enjoyed the branzino. We opted for dessert, she ordered the chocolate mousse, I ordered the key lime pie. The mousse had a bitter finish, neither of us liked it, the taste was off-putting. The key lime pie, was more of a tart, and it was beautifully presented and nicely prepared, we opted to share it. All-in-all, this was a great visit, our table was continually cleared, water glasses constantly filled. Celebrated my 30th birthday at Sazani and it was also my first time there. The experience was incredible. The grilled oysters were the perfect starter and fish and chips were delicious. My husband enjoyed the seafood pasta. Camille was our server and she made the evening so special with her perfect recommendations and attentiveness. This restaurant is a new gem in Cleveland. The food was delicious and the menu had a variety of different items to choose from for everyone. The vibe and aesthetic were chic and modern so great for date night. Dutchess was the best hostess and made us feel so cozy and relaxed. I ordered the Lobster Wellington which was a chefs special and it did not disappoint the crust was so buttery and flavorful while the lobster was cooked to perfection inside. The sauce that it was paired with took it over the top and made this dish a must try! The best part was the pricing which was very affordable for a fine dining place in the city. Had brunch there on Sunday, 4/12/26. The food itself was very delicious; however, all of the items included in the "Brunch for Two" were served lukewarm. Our server also forgot my fried eggs and my guest's lemonade, and my coffee arrived cold. Once my eggs were brought out, they were very good. From a service standpoint, it took about 20 minutes before the waitstaff greeted us and offered water, and then an additional 25 minutes for the food to be served.That said, we are open to returning and would recommend the restaurant to others, as long as our next experience is more satisfactory. I mean this with love because I want to see this restaurant succeed. The bar needs more than two bartenders when busy. The bartender was very kind - but slow. Our reservation was for 5:45, but we were not seated until 6:40 or after. The seafood pasta was extremely bland. The succotash had great flavor. It was the only dish with seasoning. The branzino batter was good but unseasoned. Also, they ran out of the whole fish and were only serving a fillet at the same price. The wedge salad was good, but the crab soup of the day had no seafood style flavor. It needed help. A pepper grinder and salt should be on the table if not used in cooking. The deviled eggs are small with a 1/3 piece of shrimp. Not worth it. The crab cakes were delicious but the restaurant soon ran out of them - much to the dismay of diners around us. I hear there's bread---never happened. Maybe that was just a rumor. Food was brought out extremely slowly. We did not leave until 8:45. The atmosphere was problematic. Music was great. But at the tables near the exit a slight sewage type stench could be smelled near the air conditioning vent, and it was far too cold with the AC powered up on a 50° Mother's Day. I expected better.
