Dominican Desayuno Dominicano / Dominican Breakfast

The workers here always so kind and patient! I come here specifically for the authentic Dominican dish options. I've gone more than one to order the Dominican breakfast (Tres Golpes) which tastes amazing each time!! They also have some options that caters to the Honduran culture although I haven't tried it. They also serve you A LOT on your plate so the price is well worth it. We ordered two dishes and two drinks (not shown in the picture) and paid $34.

Love it here!!!! I used the Too Good 2 Go app for this meal, and it did not disappoint!!! Great portions, big flavors, and plenty options! Great kind service always smiling. And a great space... not large, but great for a lunch stop or grab n go! Their juices are great too!! Highly recommend!

    Mixed plate. Great!

Quaint restaurant in Grand Prairie. I actually decided to order from too good to go. Everything was good and fresh and we were less than an hour from them. Losing. Everyone was nice and accommodating. The food was so good and they give you great portions. I will be back soon for the chicharon. It looks like that may be there best seller.

I've been eyeing this place for the past several months and finally got a chance to stop by on Sunday. Overall, the food was really good and I will visit again. I tried steak with peppers and onions, rice, mashed plantains and regular plantains. The steak was on the dry side, but flavorful. The other sides easily get a 10/10 for me which is crazy because I don't particularly like plantains. Service was good, but I did have to wait awhile for someone to help me who spoke English. I'll brush up on my Spanish and be prepared next time. It's a little hole in the wall place, very close to Ikea. Check them out!

The food was great, seasoned and plentiful. The only con is the place was too small for as much business they receive. It's time to expand.

Absolutely delicious! Ordered food for delivery after eating once in person. My in person experience had delicious food but it can be a little confusing trying to order as it is unclear how much items cost (it is sort of a hot lunch line) . But the food we ordered today was so flavorful, hot on arrival, and tasted fresh. Looking forward to eating leftovers tomorrow and trying again in person.

My daughter has to get a patty every time we visit, and I never leave without one of their homemade juices. The owner is always friendly and welcoming whenever I see him, which keeps me coming back. The food is consistently worth the wait and worth every penny. Speaking of waits, service can be a little slow at times, so I recommend calling ahead or visiting when you're not in a rush. It makes the experience much more enjoyable. The only reason I'm giving a strong 4 stars instead of 5 is the customer service from some of the staff. While not everyone falls into this category, many of the employees can come across as a bit reserved. Once you engage with them, they're usually pleasant, but a few more smiles and a warmer atmosphere would really elevate the experience. I'd love to walk in one day and feel the vibrant, welcoming island energy reflected throughout the restaurant. That said, I'll definitely keep coming back for those wings!

The establishment itself is small and when entering it isn't entirely clear if one is supposed to sit at a table and wait for a menu or order at the counter. We ended up ordering at the counter after the server gave us a menu. (A sign in future might be helpful). Our server was very nice and answered our questions as we tried to figure out what best to eat. Overall the food tasted good though I think I'm used to a more robust flavor. I would give the place more stars but for a few things: (1) it was 70ish degrees outside but it was warmer inside the restaurant (seemed like they had the heat going very strong); (2) there were cartoons playing on the only TV and it might have been nice to have music or other Chanel options but there were kids present so presumably the cartoons were for them; and (3) we were told there were no restroom facilities. This latter issue was very surprising as I believe it is against state regulations to not have public restrooms in an eatery. A sign alerting customers to this inconvenience might also be advisable.

I love spice so that's the only thing I wish it had more of or maybe a nice pepper sauce to go with it. Also, the service was awesome and the owner is super nice. They were out of oxtails and she suggested to definitely come early for things as she usually sells out - I went there around 2. Each day has a different menu but oxtails, curry goat and chicken are served daily. I believe the roti is only served on the weekends.

I ordered the lunch special -- Haitian fried chicken in sauce, crispy Haitian fritters (Marinade), white rice, black beans (sauce pwa nwa), and pickliz -- and let me tell you... WOW. And yes, you absolutely need to pair it with a cold Cola Couronne to complete the experience. The chicken was perfectly crispy on the outside and incredibly moist and tender on the inside, drenched in rich, flavorful sauce. The white rice was cooked just right, fluffy and fresh. And the black beans (sauce pwa nwa)... hmmmmmm. So well-seasoned, hearty, and comforting -- you can taste the love in every bite. The pickliz added that perfect spicy kick to balance everything out. The Marinade fritters were golden, crispy, and packed with flavor -- the perfect starter or side. And the best part? All of this was just $14. You can't beat that for the quality and portion size. I highly encourage everyone to go support this restaurant. If you want authentic Haitian cuisine done right, La Perle Des Antilles is the spot. I'll definitely be back! make sure you bring cash.
