We really like Glorias. They have consistently excellent service. The food comes out hot and it is tasty Tex-Mex and genuine Latin cuisine. The chips are good and the bean dip and salsa are excellent. Today we split chicken and skirt steak fajitas. They were excellent! The biggest problem with steak fajitas is when the meat is tough or chewy, making it difficult to eat without pulling the meat out of the tortilla. The meat today was delicious and tender. Service was fantastic. Our server, Oscar was fast and attentive enough to make sure we were enjoying the meal, not too intrusive. The atmosphere feels more authentic than many larger chains. There are a lot of tables and it is not quiet, but not really noisy either. It was easy to carry on a quiet conversation. Would highly recommend. I can't believe I've been sleeping on this place. I've been for a casual lunch, but never for dinner. Completely different vibes. Arrived on a Friday night and the restaurant was busy, but we didn't have to wait long for a table. For starters we were given chips and multiple dip options which were all great. I also order fajita nachos for the table. Highly recommend! The best fajita nachos I've had in a while. They put a lot of meat and plenty of cheese to where every time you take a bite of your nacho you get string cheese pulls. Yum! I also got the Mexican Martini which is a margarita and martini meshed together. Interesting combination and not too sweet which is how I prefer my cocktails. Not sure if I would order it again, but it was a nice drink to sip on. For my entree I chose the red snapper tacos with corn tortillas. It was fresh and lighter option! I will say I would have liked it to be seasoned a bit more, but overall it was good. Definitely would suggest more seasonings though. Well 1st of all, I am in Dallas visiting my best friend ( my youngest Bruda) and his family. After a nice long walk and a swim in their Pool, we wanted to grab a bite to eat. My Sister- in Love (Lorri) picked the place...she chose Gloria's restaurant. It was such an Amazing day that we decided to sit outside and enjoy the ambiance, scenery , and atmosphere. The food was definitely on Point; I ordered a shredded chicken Chimichanga, refried beans, Spanish rice and of course some French fries. I don't preference mexican food much, and this is my first time going to this establishment. From start to finish, walking in and leaving out, everything was pretty good. The service was quick and respectful.The food came out fast, and the food was pretty good. I had the combination plate that had the fajitas, the chimichangas and a taco with rice. What captured my attention was that the chimichanga was so flavorful and juicy that I never experienced that before. I was able to cut the chimichanga with my fork.I didn't have to pick it up.It was just that tender and it was packed with a lot of flavor. The fajitas were great. The taco was great and I had a really great time with a wonderful person. The ambiance is pretty cool. Wanted to try something new and landed on this place. The ambiance was very welcoming and cozy. When the food came I was wondering if the nachos would be good based off appearance but they were perfectly stacked. My entree was carne asada rice and beans. The meat and rice was cooked very well although the beans were a little loose. I was also disappointed because I ordered a dirty Shirley temple and she said no we don't do that and brought me a regular one. No alternate option was offered she just brought me the soda. A dirty Shirley is literally a normal Shirley temple with a shot of clear. How can you not do that? All in all I was pleased with everything else. read more

The most memorable thing I had was the MELT DOWN!! O.M.G!!! My date informed me before ordering that the restaurant limits this drink to 2 per person because it's THAT STRONG!! If you're a light weight like me, be fair warned!! This will definitely get you tipsy and having 2 will definitely get you....well, many things you just may regret. In all fairness, I love Gloria's and have been to this location numerous of times, so this review largely reflects today's visit only. Perfect patio weather on this late Saturday afternoon, so decided to stop in for sips and eats on the patio. When we arrived, there were a few hostess at the stand, they greeted us and when we asked if we could be seated on the patio, we were directed out of the side door to the patio by a hostess. (Unfortunately, I did not get her name.) There was plenty of seating on the patio, so as the hostess was about to sit our menus and utensils down at a seat in the full sun, I politely asked if we could actually have a seat underneath one of the umbrellas. She became extremely irritated, snatched the menus off of the table and then proceeded to throw the menus and utensils down on the next table over. No exaggeration, she threw them down and walked off without saying another word to us. I was stunned as I've never had this type of service at Gloria's before. Unfortunately, this completely soured our dining experience for the evening and honestly has me questioning if I return to this location in the future. If something that small sets her off, as polite as I was and always am, she should definitely reconsider her position in the hospitality industry. I will say, our server Felipe, was great. Attentive and kind. It's a shame that the hostess's disgusting demeanor overshadowed his service. read more

The service is always quick, the waiters/waitresses are always friendly, and most importantly the food and drinks NEVER FAILS. I've been able to try their sangrias and margaritas, they taste so good and they leave you feeling wonderful. I've also had the chance to try their nachos, shredded chicken burrito, and their breakfast omelette . And of course, their famous bean dip, salsa, and chips. Everything taste so good! We've started coming here once every couple of weeks for lunch and I just cannot rave enough about how good it is. We're always seated quickly and the restaurant is so clean and nice. The wait staff are spot on bringing you chips, salsa and that delicious bean dip within the first 30 seconds of sitting at the table. Glorias is always a favorite. This location is literally directly underneath my office so I popped down for a quick lunch the other day. Sat at the bar and had this ceviche trio. I enjoyed it as usual. I will say, I remembered the ceviche having a little more flavor variation. Two of the kinds had almost the exact same flavor. But it was still delicious. The service is always A1 at Glorias, even when you're by yourself just having a quick lunch. I appreciate that. I was told that the owner of the company changes the Mariscada original broth to a bisque a week and a half ago. BAD DECISION!!!!!!! Why meddle with a signature SOUP and make it into a BISQUE after all of these years. It made the seafood tasteless and the bisque itself tasted like it was burnt.
