I am extremely disappointed with my recent experiences at Moss Brothers San Bernardino, especially…read moreafter being a loyal customer and consistently bringing my 2023 Jeep Gladiator there for service. Even though my vehicle is no longer under warranty and I do not have an extended warranty, I continued to go to Moss Brothers because I trusted them and believed they would stand behind their service. Unfortunately, that trust is gone. One of the biggest problems has been communication. It is incredibly difficult to get a status update on my vehicle. Too often, when I call, I am transferred to the service department, then transferred to a virtual assistant, only to be told to leave a message and wait for someone to call me back. Rarely can I simply reach a service advisor directly. Most communication is done by text, but that is not enough when my vehicle is in the shop for days and I need real answers. Over the past several months, I have spent close to $4,000, if not more, on my Jeep at Moss Brothers. Most recently, I brought my Gladiator in because it was overheating and because the power steering light had come on. I recently purchased a travel trailer specifically so I could use my Jeep to tow it, and instead I was left without my vehicle for several days. I was also told that parts for a recall on my Jeep are not available and may not be available until the fall. Even worse, I was told that if something happens, I should contact the manufacturer's customer service, not Moss Brothers -- the dealership where I purchased my vehicle. That response is completely unacceptable. During this recent visit, Moss Brothers initially wanted to charge me another diagnostic fee. I refused because my Jeep had just been there for service and I had already spent a significant amount of money with them. A manager eventually waived the fee, but later I was told it would cost $450 just to clean my engine before they could even determine what was wrong. To me, that felt like the diagnostic fee was simply being repackaged into another charge. After all of that, I was told the issue was mud and that they could not find anything else wrong. Meanwhile, there are still issues with my Jeep that I do not feel were properly addressed. Another ongoing concern is that when customers bring up certain problems, the response often seems to be that they "cannot duplicate the issue" or "do not feel anything." After speaking with a Lemon Law attorney, I was told that this type of problem has been reported by other Jeep owners for some time, and that this is commonly the type of response owners receive from service departments. That makes my experience even more concerning. The customer service has also declined. There have been times when I was left on hold for an unreasonable amount of time, only to arrive and see phones ringing while an employee in the service area appeared to be on her personal phone. Another advisor had to tell her to answer the phones. That kind of service is unprofessional, especially when customers are spending thousands of dollars and relying on the service department for transportation, safety, and accurate information. At this point, I no longer trust Moss Brothers San Bernardino. I no longer have confidence in their service department, their communication, or the way they handle serious vehicle concerns. I will not be returning unless it involves a previous service issue that they are responsible for addressing. I am now seeking help from reputable independent Jeep specialists instead. I am also a member of a Jeep women's club with over 600 members, and based on my experience, I will not recommend Moss Brothers San Bernardino for service. I regret that it has come to this, but I am done. After years of trying to give them my business and my trust, they have lost both.
