Hello, this is your standard donut shop although the donuts are very good and I appreciated that they let us know when they had fresh ham and cheese croissants out the oven. It was pretty bustling on a Sunday morning. The coffee is not fancy and they don't carry any sugar-free syrup or sweet and low/sugar substitute but all in all you go here for a doughnut and you'll get a great one. read more

First time here, wanted to try a local business. I asked for a bacon and egg bagel with no cheese, low and behold there is cheese on it. No big deal though, this happens all the time so I just went inside and told them. Instead of admitting their mistake, the lady said that I didn't ask for no cheese and she remembered everything. Could not admit her fault at all and called me a liar, so I asked for a refund. Took them 10 minutes to find it and I just walked out without getting one. Moral of the story: don't come here, the service is terrible and they microwave their bacon. Will never be back. read more

I love this old school donut shop in San Clemente. Nothing like a long-standing community family business. Every time I go in there the donuts are well-stocked, fresh and delicious. My go to is the crumb doughnut, vanilla cake and a ham and cheese croissants. I've had other things like the breakfast toast sandwiches and croissant sandwiches. I've also had a few of the milk tea and Boba drinks. My only complaint is when I ask for less or half sweet for those beverages, it never comes that way. The milk tea is very sweet. I love that they've been taking credit cards now for a while. There is parking right out in front. Reasonably priced. read more

Yikes! These might be the worst donuts I've ever had. The apple fritter was nearly black and rock hard. It was literally burned and all I tasted was the bitterness of the burn. Steve the former owner and his crew of kind , engaging people sold the business moved away and left us in the hands of the MOST rude , nasty , unfriendly poor excuse for a business owner . Every single time I go in and I mean every single time I leave swearing I will never go back , today I didn't listen to my inner voice reminding me of how bad I end up feeling when I go there due to the horrible customer service . How bad can things be at 7 am you've basically just opened a few hours ago. . I went in with my son who is 21 but suffered a severe brain injury the reason I add that is to set the stage for how much worse it is . My son ordered 2 doughnuts , I let him order what he wants , he is not slow but he is extremely friendly which rubs them the wrong way , we also ordered a number 9 sausage, egg and some fake cheese that was so bitter and so melted it was like velvetta , and 2 large coffees. So here we go , Steve always served Dietrich's coffee which I love , they have the self serve pump crafts with their coffees. I don't know hazelnut decaf regular and maybe something else maybe like vanilla and they have these Velcro laminated cards that say Deatricks so I out of curiosity while waiting for the sandwich to be done asked are you still serving Dietrich's coffee? Is that what's in here? I thought it was a very reasonable question not confrontational and she stared at me this nasty woman, and then screamed. Do you not see the sign you not see the sign??? there's a sign out front large plastic maybe and very high up that sign has been there for as long as I can remember. I told her how rude she was and her partner and then she started to say something nasty about my son and I stopped her in her tracks , before I could even get my grievances out they were screaming at the top of their lungs when I got in my car I went on Yelp to see if I was the crazy one, and I absolutely am not if people take the time to look at all these reviews they will see that there are so many negative reviews due to how rude these people are. There are many options for donuts in this town and SC Donuts is just as good, if not better, than any. They don't offer all the new, fancy donuts that are in style right now but that's ok with me.
