Okay, I'm not a sweets or donut eater but these donuts were executed exceptionally well. All the classics that I remembered from being a kid! Glazed cake donuts, glazed cinnamon roles, chocolate filled boston cream, glazed raspberry jelly, huge apple fritters, cinnamon sugar. These were so delicious and tempting that you'd cut a little piece and come back over and over for another little piece until the whole donut was gone. Yeah, nobody wanted donuts when I left, but when I came back with the box, they were gone in no time. Go here, you'll feel like a kid in a donut shop. read more

Sooo over-priced. A medium coffee is $3+ bucks! Just for a regular drip coffee. Starbucks is under 3 - granted it's Starbucks yuck coffee but still. What's superior at Wendi's? They never have donuts when I have came, which is usually the 8 o'clock range. I've probably been there three times and the cases are completely wiped. All that's left are some picked over muffins. Guess I'll have to get there at sunrise to see some variety. Make more??? read more

Absolutely ridiculous how expensive they are and how much they have raised their prices. A toasted bagel with butter and jelly is $5.75. No prices are listed on the menu board and there is a sign reading that prices are increasing Ok food but unnecessarily outrageous prices. read more

The food was average, the ambiance a little less than average as the people create it. The service is by far, this place's worse attribute. The cashier lady seems to believe, customers are there for her. Fails to understand the simplest of requests and resorts to face contortions and eye rolling, infantile behavior really. Failing to charge for half the order, she blamed a customer for her error, ridiculous. As for the prices, I didn't complain but with that poor kind of service, any price is overpriced! My order came to well over $180 as I ordered for 7 and it took the better part of an hour to get 6 bagels, one omelet, 4 smoothies and being shorted one cappuccino- They have a beautiful espresso machine but they don't know how to use it, so they offer "gas station" style instant cappuccino- what a joke!!!! read more

Went in to get a smoothie as I have gotten hundreds of times. I was charged almost two dollars more and I simply asked the gentleman why. I can't fathom how rude and condescending he was over a question. I showed him my phone the numerous times I was charged $6 and he snatched my phone out of my hand and said he doesn't care how many times I've been there or got it. I have never experienced such rude customer service I was genuinely shocked. How calm he was about it and saw no problem with it whatsoever. He just said he wasn't trying to be rude but I told him he was being so. He completely ridiculed me in front of customers when I was simply just trying to ask him a question and I wasn't ever rude or even yelled, I was mainly in shock. I think they are now under new management or have a new owner. The last two weeks I've had the worst experience at Wendi's and I've always had good service here. First they ignore the customers and talk amongst themselves. Then I ordered 3 and 1/2 dozen donuts for my kids' classrooms for their Christmas parties. I placed order on Monday to pick up on Thursday morning at 7am and already paid for the order. On Thursday morning the people working had no idea about the order and were even arguing with me about it! They FINALLY gave me whatever they had in the cases but we arrived late to school and I felt horrible and so embarrassed that the classes and teachers had to wait for whatever they were WILLING to give me. Above all the staff never apologized and gave me attitude! Will no longer be going to Wendi's! read more

Great service and fresh and tasty donuts at this small, locally owned donut shop. Prices are great and they offer a free donut with check in. I went with an apple fritter and a blueberry donut, both very fresh, great flavors, simple and delicious. Easy parking since they are located in a strip mall, good selection, even late in the morning, good stop for a sugar fix while in the area. read more

I came in the other day when visiting my parents in San Juan. I was craving a ham and cheese croissant and decided that I would just stop at Wendi's donuts when I got to SJC. I ordered my ham & cheese and then proceed to the register and they said it would be $5.00. I was shocked that it was expensive and looked up at the menu board to price check. Previously, I didn't remember it being that expensive for a piece of ham and some cheese in a croissant. All prices were erased, only item names remained on the menu board. Okay I have to give this place 5 stars since my friend's family still owns this location. They keep expanding and upgrading their menu. I think their donuts are good and it's a good location off the freeway. The people who work there are very nice and the people who frequent the place seem really friendly. If you come here often they are very personable. Soon they will be opening up Red Velvet next store. I can't wait to check that place out. Hopefully I will work with them to tweak the new menu. Come by and check their donut shop out if you are ever around Ortega Highway by the 5 freeway! ^_^ read more

Sad to say I've been consistently disappointed by this place lately. The donuts used to be better but are now just average, the prices have gotten pretty high and fluctuate more than seems justified by supply/inflation issues, the selection is limited even early in the day, and service is generally subpar, sometimes even bad to be honest. It can be quite slow to order, and pricing questions never seem to get a straight answer. I like to give places several chances, because everyone has an off day, but I just can't say I've had good experiences here in a long time. I hear they changed hands, maybe that's the reason? Used to be a favorite, but I'm moving on to other shops unfortunately. read more

This is our closest doughnut (donut or doughnut? You decide!) shop. My son likes it the best. They have really good ham and cheese croissants. He always gets the chocolate old-fashioned as well. They have coffee and deli sandwiches too. Here's my beef with Wendi's. It's not a major beef but it's what sends me across town to Donut Hut most of the time. I can't get a Ham, Cheese and Jalapeño Croissant here. They are my favorite man! If I'm going to go for ALL those calories I want what I want, you know?!? I've tried. I asked once and got a plain croissant cut open and stuffed with a massive amount of cold, raw jalapeños. Yikes! Again, I tried and the second time I got ham and cold jalapeños. Nope. Plus, (and you may agree with my son that this is da bomb but...) the ham they use is one huge chunk 'o ham. One bite and all the ham comes out. Ugh. So, decent donut shop, local and fresh just don't ask for anything they don't already make. They just don't understand. read more

We LOVE Wendi's donuts, and have been known to drive up from San Diego just to get our fix of their tasty nibbles. Their bagel breakfast sandwiches are as good as their many styles of donuts. Wendi's makes quite an attempt to stay current with bacon-maple bars, red velvet donuts and homemade macaroons. I've even seen Green Tea muffins. The coffee is also good. I like the family friendly, local vibe and the convenience of having outside tables so we can bring our dogs. read more

My parents came to visit and bought a big box of muffins and donuts. I swear the chocolate muffins were not fresh. There's no way they were and if they were, they were awfully hard. I didn't let my kids eat them they were hard and not appetizing at all. The donuts were ok but there are so many options that it's a shame. If we're talking about small family-owned doughnut shops, this one takes the cake! There's a dooughnut shop closer to my house that doesn't even sell bagels...wtf? But Wendi's offers everything! Wide selection of doughnuts, AMAZING (and huge) bagels, smoothies, dessert pastries (I believe they're macaroons), croissants, deli sandwiches which you can customize to your liking, coffee, a HUGE assortment of sodas, drinks, juices, etc., and even some random items like to-go ramens and cigarettes. Its a one stop shop and the food quality is amazing. I'm always partial to the customer service from asian food places since they usually lack (I, myself, am half Chinese), and if you happen to be in there when the owner (Wendi) is in there, you will find she is very happy and delightful. Otherwise, the other staff is usually what you'd expect. I always try to make it a point to come in here though when I'm in the area since I am never disappointed. Plus, this is the only place that will make a banana smoothie to my liking (Sokny "Sew-knee" makes it the best!). 100% recommend. I'm really torn because I grew up coming here and I love the food and selection. The food and smoothies are awesome. If you want quick yummy sanwhiches, snacks, drinks, ice cream etc. - this is your place hands down. Today my order took way to long because their biggest clientele, st margrets kids were around. They forgot about my food and this happens often. They prioritize these students and us locals either have to wait, arrive with no doughnuts left, And The school has reserved parking in the plaza just for their own use- such bs. If this place wants to keep my business and the business of others they will put their locals first and these private school pricks second. Ps: still waiting for the day this place gets wifi? The customer service there is efficient and friendly. Parking also easy and free too. My favorite ones are the oreo and chocolate glazed pieces. The Malasadas are delicious too. Really, what's actually not delicious from Yo Mochi?! Nothing tastes too sweet or not sweet enough. Everything is just right. And consistently too. I can't emphasize that part enough because I can order donuts for DoorDash in the middle of the night and it still tastes really fresh and delicious. Not many places can pull that off! And if you ever decide to go in-person and hangout there, the store has a robust selection of arcade games. It's a bit different and fun if you're into that sorta thing! Everything has a cute neon colored theme to it. Can't wait to go get my mochi donuts fix later today. This place is such an underrated gem in Mission Viejo!

They provide you with a small container of dry red peppers and oregano. Use it. It gives a nice kick to the soup. The meat was tender and the homini perfectly cooked. The ratio of homini to meat was just right. 2. Pork tamal: the masa was not the best I've had but it was still tasty. I like my pork tamales to have chunks of meat but the one I got was more like a meat mush. 3. Lengua plate: delicious! Came with a side of rice and beans. 4. Cabeza tacos: needed a little salt but cabeza usually does. The meat was very good. Try them with the green salsa. 5. Carnitas tacos: if you like different textures, get it mixed (cuero included). The mix of different parts of the pig is a lot tastier than regular maciza meat. 6. Drinks: horchata and Jamaica. No package drinks here. Horchata tasted home made and Jamaica was solid. Two of the adults had regular coke from the soda fountain (nothing special). 7. Dessert: flan and arroz con leche. Both very delicious and not overly sweet. Desserts can be paid for in the bakery area so no wait here. Unfortunately, I have no pictures of any of the food we ordered. We were so hungry that we started eating right away. The best part of this place was the affordable prices. For everything we ordered we paid ~$70. Not bad considering we had a lot of food, drinks, and desserts. There's counter siting available inside and some tables outside. Bathroom is on premises but I didn't go in so I'm not sure how clean it was or if it was gender neutral.

The store is split between savory and sweet. I ordered a few tacos (carnitas, cabeza, and lengua). The full size tacos are quite large and filling. I have to remember to order the street taco version. The flavor is good and with the salsa it hits the spot. I also ordered the menudo to dip my tacos in. Paired the food with some horchata and agua fresca. The service can be a bit slow, maybe because it is usually busy. One thing to note is that you will need to order the drink with your savory order but pick up is on the other side with the sweets.
