I had recently ordered a Svante media stand and it came damaged - with two big cracks in the bottom board. To get the media stand exchanged, I have to first work with their 3rd party vendor and based on the vendor's assessment the next steps will be decided. Basically, they are leaving me (the customer) in limbo. Though I had ordered the media stand from their Mesa store, I had to go all the way up to their warehouse in Phoenix (an hour's drive from my home) to pick up the media stand. They surely know how to make things more difficult for their customers! A 'good' store would make things easier and not difficult for the customer. Also, a month ago, I had ordered a Quintin nightstand online, paid for it and everything. A week later, I get a call from them saying that they are out of the nightstands! Overall, I am really disappointed with their customer service. Damaged furniture out-of-the-box is another big concern. No more shopping at Scandinavian Designs for me!! Extremely poor furniture quality and customer service is even worse than that. Just wanted to let you know that at the day of delivery we received the call from Scandinavian Design to let us know that delivery of the bed frame won't happen today as they have higher priority customers and we are pushed for the delivery next week. Knox white bed frame that was purchased in April, broke in half more than a month ago. We were told that we can only get merchandise credit which was not our preferred option but we have accepted it to follow the protocol. We selected the bed frame that we didn't even like, but have picked it just because it was in stock and immediately available. Even with that we had to wait 2 weeks to have it delivered. We have patiently waited for two weeks, sleeping on the floor, to be told that delivery has been delayed as we are not high priority. All of this for poor quality bed frame that broke after few months that costs $890. Not just that we are unhappy with the quality of the merchandise, but with customer service as well, and we feel very humiliated and disrespected. We called store in East Mesa where we purchased the bed frame but we were told that the store manager is out and not available to fix this issue today. At this point, we are far beyond following your exchange protocol and are only wanting full refund back on our card. Merchandise credit is not an option due to bad quality of furniture, lack of customer service, and unprofessionalism. We will need full refund back on our card asap. I am ready to take this to corporate level and I will not stop until I get full refund back. I will keep contacting Mesa Store and Corporate office until I get full refund back and I am ready to escalate the case wherever is needed. Don't buy anything there it is not worth the price. Very poor quality! Store Manager is never there and other staff is useless. Save yourself time&money! Just an update: Scandinavian Design has returned the full amount, after we returned the broken bed frame. We had to wait one day for the return of broken frame to be processed, in order to get full refund back. So thank God the Scandinavian drama is over. Just for this I am raising review from one to two stars. Needless to say not coming back. read more

Great experience until it came to the pick up. I was told that my furniture would be available to be picked up on 11/24. It is a 45 minute drive each way to get to the warehouse. I show up on 11/27 and am told that it still hasn't arrived. Nobody made me aware of a delay and there was no attempt at restitution to make it right. I thought they would at least offer to have it delivered after I wasted a quarter tank of gas and two hours of my day for nothing but I was just told I was out of luck and it will be here soon. read more

I purchased two leather chairs in January. I was told that I could be six weeks then six months because of Covid. I am now told it will be the end of October. No way to get Money back on special orders. The manager sold them to us. Don't trust these people. Beautiful furniture if you want it in a year. read more

We purchased a dining room table and chairs. They told us the chairs were on back order and would be 6-8 weeks. The table had to be shipped from a California store and arrived on schedule. The delivery / setup crew was friendly and communicative. The chairs arrived in the time frame they initially stated which was surprising to me given the current state of things. We picked up the 8 chairs at the store and Anthony in the warehouse was very friendly and helpful. He removed the chairs from the boxes so we could fit all 8 in our SUV. If you like Scandinavian furniture and don't want to pay Copenhagen prices this is a great alternative. read more
