I have mixed feelings about this place. There's some buzz about how great Scarr's pizza is. So of course I had to give it a try to see what all the fuss is about. I've had a lot of different pizza in the course of my life, I've made my share of home pizzas, and it's one of my favorite foods. So I feel somewhat qualified to comment. I got a basic cheese slice. It didn't seem much different from good mall food court pizza. The cheese was good quality but you can tell they use a ton of salt in their dough because it tasted very salty for pizza crust. Don't get me wrong, it's not bad pizza by any means. It was good, but didn't live up to the hype. Good enough for a quick pizza fix. Slice size is large and satisfying. Priced at $8.50 for a slice of cheese is probably the threshold of where quality and size intersect with value. The service was excellent and I love that they asked me if I enjoyed it as I was leaving. It shows they care and value the customer. It's in the food hall next to the casino. When I went to New York, one of my favorite slices was from Scarr's Pizza, so I was really excited to hear that they opened a location at the Venetian Via Via food hall. ​I came here and ordered a slice of the Original Hot Boi with hot honey. This is a slice topped with pepperoni and jalapeños, drizzled with hot honey. Although it wasn't quite as good as the one in New York, it was still a solid slice. I saw this place after trying Howlin Ray's last time and wanted to come back to the Venetian to try it out since the pizza looked pretty good in the display. It's a spot where you can pay by the slice. They don't have a huge selection of but they do have the classics like pepperoni and cheese pizza. I ended up order the pepperoni slice with 2 of their garlic knots. Overall, the pizza slice itself was excellent. Super good and a good size. Probably one of the better pizzas I've had in Vegas. However, the knots itself were kind of stale, which wasn't great. Additionally, the lady who took the orders was giving attitude to all of the customers. She was pretty impatient and yelling at people for their orders, including myself. For the people behind me, she told them they were taking too long and needed to order at the cash register, which was kind of bizarre. Cashier was nice though! I ordered one of slices, I believe it was the Hot Boi slice and my wife the garlic knots with vegan cheese. The price of the slice was $8-9. It wasn't bad, but the dough was falling apart once I grabbed it. The flavor combo of pepperoni and jalapeños was fine all things considered. My wife said the garlic knots were good and filling. Scarr's Pizza is part of the nice updated food hall at Venetian and I really liked the pizza here! I'm a big Sicilian style pizza girl and I feel like it's pretty hard to find that here in Vegas. And I was pleasantly surprised by theirs! It's a walk up counter and the pizza is pretty much already made and they just warm it up for you. It was really good! We each got a hot boi, and they throw it into the oven to warm it up for you which I felt was nice. The flavors were really good, although hubby did wish there a more tomato sauce on his slice. I, however thought it tasted perf - and the crust was to die for. It's a NY style pizza and the crust was soft and bouncy, with crispy edges. Via Via is much needed. The food hall is clean and bright with better than average seating. Scarr's Pizza looks really tempting. The pizzas are very pretty and it's great that you can get a slice or a full pie. The original slice was the winner for us. It was appropriately floppy and foldy and definitely a NY slice. Not the best one I've ever had but not bad at all for a quick snack. We also tried a Sicilian slice and while these are so pretty, we found it just OK. They give you plastic silverware but you will not be able to cut a Sicilian with this. It's definitely a chewy pizza, but it really was just a lot of crust and any other flavor was lost. At $6.50 to $9.50 a slice, this is very fairly priced for the Strip. We waited about 10 minutes for our slices, which seemed a bit long, and they are always busy. They do have draft beer, but unlike the pizza, those prices are outrageous. read more

I ordered a sicilan pepperoni square, I loved the thick, airy, focaccia like crust, gooey cheese, crispy pepperoni and the robust tomato sauce. It hit the spot at 2am. Scarr's Pizza is a New York Style Pizza Counter in the Via Via Food Court that is located on the Casino Floor in the Venetian. We shared one slice of plain pizza to try. I do have to give them credit for having pizza ovens that looked remarkably clean. I also must say that this pizza is the first pizza since I left the east coast that really reminds me of an actual New York Slice mostly because it's the only slice that has that unique oily mouth feel that only New York Slices have.It also was foldable. I got a slice of the Sicilian pepperoni and a slice of the hotboi. I got it to go to take back to my room, so it was still somewhat warm when I ate it. It was good, but I think it would have been a lot better if I ate it there and it was hot. The hotboi was obviously really spicy. I had to take off some of the jalapeños to finish it. It was good though, the hot honey gave it a sweet kick in the beginning and then you taste the heat. It looked greasy, but not sure if it was because of the honey or pepperonis, but it was pretty good. The Sicilian was also good. Nice and crispy pepperoni cups and the dough was nice and airy. Scarr's in New York has been on my radar for a long time, I was pleased when I found out they had one in The Venetian. Interesting that this location only has around 3.5 stars on Yelp. This definitely at least a 4 star pizza shop. I had a slice of classic cheese, a square cheese, and a square pepperoni. All were excellent but the classic cheese slice was the start of the show. A little flop, crunchy on the bottom. High quality cheese with the perfect pull. Sauce was nice, just a classic pizza sauce that felt like it was made with the right ingredients. Can't say how this compares to Scarr's NY, it's still on my list, but I've probably eaten at the top 10 pizza shops in NYc and this location in The Venetian can hold its own. read more

Having been to the original Scarr's, I rated this review as though the owners did their due dilligence to make sure that their NYC standard was upheld. Service was pretty quick for the long line, slices were out in a timely manner. Flavor of the slice (Hot Boi) was for the most part on point, but the reason for knocking a star off was.... (A) The Size of the slice felt smaller than you would get in NYC. I get, it's Vegas. But comeon, if you're going to charge that.... make the slice the same size as in the Big Apple. Second....and what I consider the biggest fail of the version in Vegas was the cook. It had much more flop than the NYC slice, maybe the ovens can't get us hot, or the chefs need to be trained better, but the flavor was on point. There's constantly a line of people so at least the slices are consistently fresh. Service was friendly, fountain drink refills are free, and the seating can be a free-for-all since there are a lot of restaurants in the food hall sharing the seating. Depending on the day or what's going on at the Sphere or Venetian theater, I think it could be really chaotic and not worth the time. Their cheese pizza slice is $7, which, sadly, is comparable to other places on the strip. You do get that classic new york slice with that chewy dough. It's a pretty good slice, but I can't say that it's like the best of NYC. Venetian must have a love for NY Pizza as they also brought in Grimaldi's at Palazzo (which is a better option if you are looking to buy a whole pie to feed a family). For cheap eats in Vegas, this spot in the Via Via food court is a great option, especially if you want/need something hot to grab and go. The pizza does taste pretty good. read more

Vodka & Pesto (Sicilian pie): I do love a Sicilian pie so I had to order this - I would say I expected more flavor given it had both vodka and pesto sauce on it. It was good, but not great. I definitely added on some crushed red pepper flakes and garlic powder to give it more flavor. Original (Sicilian pie): I would definitely recommend this Sicilian slice over the vodka & pesto. The tomato sauce has more flavor to it! Overall, I would definitely say you should come check out Scarr's if you're craving a slice. Love that they are one of the food court vendors that stay open late until about 1-2 AM. They have ready made slices where they reheat them in the fire oven, which I love Becuse it's fast and there's a variety of options. A neat part of their pizza is the breading and crust - it's a light flaky layered pizza dough which I would buy again! This is for their pizza squares. I got the Hot Boi, which I think is the popular option, pep and jalapenos with a hot honey drizzle. They sell whole pies along with slices. The Scarrs remind us that the past is real, Id tear my heart open just to eat this slice again. While not as good as the NYC location, this is a top tier slice in Vegas. The hot boi taste is so similar to its NYC counterpart, and the crust is perfectly crispy like it too. The pepperoni was fine, and still a great slice, but not as good as the hot boi slice. I came here with my 9 year old and three year old. My older one wasn't hungry and my little one pointed to the pizza. The man at the counter was so kind, he saw I was trying to grapple with the kids and offered to cut the cheese slice into smaller pieces on his own. It was a small thing but it was comforting to just not think and something like that be taken care of without asking. My head was spinning from walking all day and I was grateful for him.
