This is one of the best ways to see Sedona! My husband and I were in Sedona to celebrate our first wedding anniversary and wanted to do something special! We heard about the tour thru friends and decided to go ahead! We booked in advance via email, and they opted for the Uptown Jordan 1.5hrs tour with an anniversary package upgrade. It was a great experience! Lora suggested coming in atleast 15mins early to sign the waiver forms (nothing to worry abt! just a formality!). Our guide Bear trained us for abt 30mins on how to manage and maneuver the segway. Once we were ready, we took the tour thru the Uptown Jordan Road. The views of the mountains were breathtaking!!! Bear's knowledge of Sedona is immense, and he really loves people! There were so many people we met on the way and he waved, smiled and spoke to all of them! He is such a sweet guy, he even helped carry my DSLR camera as I wasnt able to balance well with it on the segway! On completing the tour, we got back to the office to be welcomeb by Lora with special arrangements! She had a table set with a handmade card, a rose, chocolates and Sparkling Cider! A very romantic way to end the beautiful Segway experience! The Sedona Segway Tour is a must-do for everyone who visits Sedona. Lora is a superb administrator and planner! It was my birthday, we were in Sedona for a few days and I wanted to do a Segway tour. It was definitely one of the best birthday presents ever! We showed up earlier than scheduled but they were very flexible and after about 30 mins of training, off we went. By the way, the training portion is probably the hardest part of riding a segway but they really make sure you know what you're doing and feel very comfortable before setting off. My husband and I had never ridden one before and I was particularly apprehensive about my sense of balance (actually I didn't think I had any so I was worried about even getting on.) But I only felt apprehensive for a short time and after riding around their practice track a few times, I knew I was ready. Laura was our guide and Karen came along because she was in training. They were both so helpful and knowledgeable and they really made us feel so relaxed and comfortable. So we took the Chapel tour which is a fairly long tour which turned out to be SO MUCH FUN because flying down the sidewalk on a segway is the most exhilirating feeling. Plus people we passed would wave and say hi or honk their horns and it was just great. And that's what Laura and Karen wanted us to experience. Their main priority was for us to have FUN. We stopped several times to check out the flora, stretch our legs, drink some water and talk about the different rock formations, buttes and the views. We never felt rushed or on a timeline. They told us some colorful stories about some of the homes there - "some true, some not so true, " Laura would say - and we just had a great time spending a few hours with them. It was obvious they both truly loved living in Sedona and their enthusiasm was contagious. We spent about 15 mins at Chapel Rock and we never felt rushed. I think if we wanted to spend more time up there, it would've been ok with them. The ride back seemed too short although we took the same route back and I felt a little sad when I had to get off my segway and give it back. I highly recommend this company. Go and just do it! You'll be smiling the whole time like I was. This is way better than bouncing around the desert on a jeep or a hummer. It's much more relaxing and fun. Best birthday present ever! My husband and I were so glad we did this and would definitely do it again. read more

The fun segway adventure with Sedona's dramatic views as a background was an amazing experience! The operators were very professional, and extremely friendly. At first we were worried about our 10 years old, but we received such an attentive, and detailed lesson on the segway, and had enough time to practice our control, that we had no doubts, or problem to take off for our tour. We all felt completely safe, and comfortable during the tour, and our wonderful guide Taz made sure we see the local famous stone shapes, and told us interesting stories about the history of Sedona. At the end of the tour he pointed a few places to eat and shop, and we really enjoyed those recommendations later that day. The segways are so much fun to ride on, it was a different experience from anything we did before, and I'd recommend it with all my heart. read more

If you told me I would fall in love with riding a Segway up and down the red rocks of Sedona I may have thought you were crazy... Low and behold, it may have been one of the most fun "tours" I've ever been on. Instead of sitting on a bus or trolley taking in the view from afar, I felt like I was really part of the Sedona landscape and was able to take in the fresh air. There's no such thing as boredom in Sedona on a Segway. Lora was a fantastic teacher. She was patient and extremely knowledgable. I am really convinced anyone can ride a Segway as long as they check their ego at the door.. or should I say red rock. This was a definite fun excursion. Our 1.5 hour extended Jordan tour featured a 15 minute training session on the Segway and then a tour around the neighborhood that features viewing spots and local botanical sights. Lora was SUPER helpful and personable, making sure we were both comfortable on the Segway and super educational about the local landscape. I thoroughly enjoyed and LOVED the whole experience. *Note: Segways are a GODSEND for short people. It seemed like my 6'5" hubby was just concentrating on keeping control over the Segway, so I took over the camera duties. The staff are super-duper friendly, and patient for you to become comfortable riding around the parking lot before starting a tour. This was the first time visiting Sedona, which is a BEAUTIFUL location, and the first time on a Segway. I've been riding motorcycles for 40 years and enjoying a 2 wheeled vehicle, but this was quite different. After getting acquainted with it, through their professional instruction, it became quite easy, with continued use. The more comfy you become, the more fun you have! Laura was our tour guide, who possesses a LOT of knowledge about the area, and has a great sense of humor to boot! We were looking for new things to do on our girls' getaway weekend, so we tried Sedona Segway. None of us had ever tried Segways before, so we were all a little apprehensive. The adventure began with our Guide/Segway Guru, Bear, patiently explaining the Segway and teaching us the basics. Then we tried our new-learned skills on their practice course. It was amazing how quickly we all picked up the skills! Once we were all comfortable, we headed out on the road. We were all VERY comfortable riding with Bear. He made us all feel very safe and comfortable. The route he took us on was perfect. It started out very basic (flat and straight paths), then became increasingly challenging for us. Great tour. A must do in Sedona. Bear is a great tour guide and makes sure you are safe at all times. If you don't know how to Segway, then it's ok. Bear is great at teaching how to ride the Segway from getting on all the way to getting off. To practice he starts you on a really cool obstacle course.
