I wanted to leave some great feedback and kudos. Monday late afternoon I discovered I had a damaged, fast leaking tire. I was out running errands and immediately drove over to Schaumburg Toyota. Ezequiel in Service cane to help me. I had my 5 month old puppy with me, getting them used to car rides. He showed me where I could wait with him outside. I know you're a dog friendly company and we could have gone inside, but my pup is a bit crazy energy. 5 minutes after we were settled outside another employee cane out saw us and brought my pup a cup and bottled water. He stayed a bit to play with him too! 5 minutes later we had a couple more employees come out to say hi and also bring water! Ezequiel got us in and out of there in about 30 minutes so I could get the pup home. What a great customer service and caring experience. THANK YOU! read more

This Toyota dealer sucks. I wanted to buy a car from them. The salesman was great but unfortunately the sales manager Danny was awful. To the point that I will never buy a car from this dealership. This is the second time I have had a problem trying to buy a car from them. My first experience, I was at the table signing the papers when I noticed they had changed the agreed upon finance rate by several points. They lied and said that I didn't qualify for that rate. So, I just got up and walked out. They of course came running after me and immediately changed it back but this gives you a taste of how they behave. This time they wanted me to pay for $4000 in nonsense dealer add ons that I didn't want. Like interior and exterior insurance, rust proofing etc. The manager refused to take it off. He told me that on their more popular vehicles that they would not remove the add ons. The only thing he would do is allow me to pay them their $2900 profit they would make on that and receive no add ons, essentially taking off $1100 and paying an extra $2900 for absolutely nothing. This is a super shady unethical money grab. The silver lining was that my child was with me and this provided a very valuable lesson in car buying and how to recognize a scumbag that you should not do business with. Comically, their slogan is 'whatever it takes'. That slogan is literally on every car in the place. It obviously implies that they want to sell cars and are willing to negotiate. Unfortunately, what it really means is that they will do 'whatever it takes' to milk people for every penny possible. I would seriously recommend going elsewhere. These guys are the ones that give car dealers bad names. I honestly do not understand why so many car dealers continue to behave poorly and make buying a car so unpleasant. It doesn't have to be this way. Consumers don't like it. I refuse to make a purchase from someone like this. Bottom line, if you are selling cars, please treat every customer in a manner that you would want your mother to be treated if she walked in to buy a vehicle. Is it that hard? .... Not sure how they sleep at night. read more

While taking my Toyota here for service is typically pricier than other auto service places in the area, I return here because of the consistent and fast service. And their expertise and knowledge of my car. I can usually just sit while I have my car serviced and the waiting room is a nice place to work or read for a while. The coffee machine is a nice perk too. Vanilla cappuccino anyone? Everytime I am here, they move the cars through pretty quickly for basic services like an oil change or tire rotation. I appreciate they will wash my car for me too, if I ask and the when the car wash is working. I have been told a few of times it isn't working, but I think that's code for "we don't have time to wash your car today, lady." I do appreciate the courteous and hardworking crew here. read more

We were thrilled with our visit to Schaumburg Toyota. My daughter was looking for a new car and was interested in a new Toyota. The sales rep was very easy to work with and, while they did play the "let me check with my manager" game, we were able to negotiate a good deal that was within her budget. The showroom is spacious and nicely appointed. There were not many cars on the floor, but they had a nice selection outside. And, we were fortunate that the weather was warm for late January. The sales manager really was the star of the show, working with us to ensure we got the right car at the right price. They didn't have the car she wanted in stock, but were able to order it with an expected three day delivery. I've had plenty of bad experiences buying cars in the past. They flat out did not want to help me because it was too much work administratively. Pasting my review from DealerRater.com because they don't deserve more of my time, but I DO want to warn others of this total lack of service/care/consideration. Rafael Sanchez reluctantly approached and tried to understand by issue of the front camera not functioning as expected. I only recently had purchased my 2023 4Runner used with Toyota Certified Warranty- I was assured this would be something covered so I wasn't worried. However, because I was from out of state, Rafael took that context to deny me any assistance. He claimed it would be "a lot of phone calls and probably take a long time to get parts if it's even covered" which should be up to the customer to decide honestly. I assured him I would be in town long enough and he just refused and said I should take it back to the original dealer, which was at no point what I'd expect when I just paid so much money for a new, albeit used, car under warranty. He also mentioned it's not a critical item so it's fine to just keep using the car. This is an infuriating experience I've never been so baffled. Just because dealing with your corporate warranty department is a headache, does not give you the right to deny service when I am under said warranty. Horrible impression. Further, when customer care reached out saying I missed my appointment ( I didn't) I explained the situation again, hoping anyone would care enough to make it right without me chasing them down. Unfortunately not, the nice gal who replied to my email said she was passing the info along to Mike Krueger so he can personally follow up. Surprise, complete silence. Terrible experience over all, unfortunately looks like this is a trend in the area so still on the hunt for a service department that won't be so lazy or dismissive. read more

My key and the remote stopped working, and the service staff told me that the warranty didn't cover it because the key had some rust on it.

This dealership used to be among the best. Bought 6 new vehicles there over 12 years and was quite happy with both the service and the sales process. However, I don't know what happened, but both have dropped off the edge into an abyss. My 12 year sales associate turned from a kind and helpful partner to a Trickey spinster. Maybe his buttons were being pushed by management, but he has been in the business long enough where he should be able to push back in my opinion. Service is even worse. I don't think I have been met with a kind response in the last five years when showing up for a service appointment. And the last one was the worst. All new faces and the look of arrogance. Then, when I received my car, it was very clear that it had been hit during the process. Now I have to go back and try to get some support . Needless to say, I don't feel good about it as they haven't been interested in nurturing the customer relationship in years . So sad... such a great dealership gone to the dark side. read more

Was their in January 3 2025 and wanted to lease a 2024 corolla cross L. Online special said $250 a month 36 months with $2900 down and when I got their I said I didnt want to put anything down. They said if I dont my payment will be about $700. They said in order for me to get it at that monthly price I needed to put down $7k. How do you justify a $4k increase? They said if I dont put anything down I am looking at $700 a month for a $28k vehicle from 2024???? I told em I got a 2023 Subaru Ascent onyx worth $45k with nothing down paying $500 a month. How does their statement makes sense on a vehicle almost half the price of the ascent. Ended up going with subaru forester premium lease payment $400 a month for 36 months. The forester was $35k and put $1500 down. Schaumburg toyota numbers dont make sense. This dealership just scamming people out of extra money. read more

Update. The battery originally in the vehicle tested good when taken elsewhere. Toyota is still saying they had a bad test but they will switch them out and credit me for the battery. This is an acceptable solution but I would still be hesitant to use them again. read more

Terrible experience just recently with a check engine light. I've been coming here for three years. The only thing they're good at is taking your money for oil changes, but they can't deal with one check engine light. I'm still waiting for a schedule for repair has been over a month. I called and made an appointment to test drive a grand highlander. When I arrived at my appointment time, they didn't seem to have record of my appointment. A sales lady RELUCTANTLY took my husband and I on a test drive. She didn't know where the car was parked and we walked all around, outside, in the cold while we searched for the grand highlander. After we drove it, we sat at the desk with the sales lady and she showed us options on her computer. She gave my husband a hard time for not liking the color of a car they had....it's a big purchase that we would have for years, so most sales personnel know we need to be happy with every option. At the end of our time together, I asked her for her business card. She was hesitant to give it to me and replied, "oh, I guess you could have one..." Seriously disappointed as a Toyota grand highlander was my first choice. I will never return to this dealership. read more

I was SCAMMED OUT OF $400 because they said I needed rear brakes. During my last oil change (about 2 months ago) they said my rear brakes were down to 2mm and needed to be changed. When I went in today (Aug 10, 2023) to get them changed I asked for the old ones back. Come to find out there is about 6mm left on my old brake shoes. All plenty of life left. At least another couple years. I plan on contacting a lawyer for deceiving business practices if Toyota doesn't do anything about this.
