James was very accommodating and helpful even though the details kept changing. Our delivery drivers, Darryl and Sam were THE BEST. They took utmost care of all of our belongings and packed them as if I were leaving on the country. They were so polite and kind and crazy STRONG! Had a great experience with Schlep today getting my newly purchased credenza into my bedroom on the second floor of our home. The guys were very sweet and made sure to look around first and make a game plan on how exactly to bring in the piece. With stairs and a narrow hall way, it can be pretty tricky. We were looking for a moving service (recommended by a friend) to take big items and some last odds and ends from our apartment to our new condo and Schlep provided the best prices and availability. On the day of the move, even the (very cold) day after Christmas, our Schleppers, (Shout out to Daryl, Sam, and Zach!) were on time and with my requested coffee in hand (On the app, it asked how I liked my coffee... Now this is the second time using Schlep in about 4 months. (I failed to write a review for the first one; so this is a review for both instances.) The first one was a move from a storage locker to my apartment. I had Darryl & Isaac as my Schleppers. They were fantastic, funny and definitely accommodating. The owner of the storage locker where the initial pick-up was, is not the easiest or most organized person to deal with, but they dealt with the situation with class, respect and answered every question she had for them. They delivered the couch, tables and other items efficiently, cleanly and amazingly fast. I loved these guys! The second time was actually today with Sam and Jay, where they helped to deliver a really nice table with the plan to be passed down to future generations - so obviously it was important to keep intact and delivered carefully. They didn't only pick-up the items and went above and beyond to protect the table and its chairs from my sister's garage, they understood that the table was a special item and will be an item passed down without having to mention it. I was very happy to use Schlep for the second time today. I purchased an extremely heavy MARBLE dining table and needed it to be moved from the seller's second floor apartment to my second floor apartment. There's no way I could have moved it on my own, or with the assistance of friends, without someone dying. This thing is a beast. Sam and Wesley to the rescue. These dudes were strong, kind, and funny. I'm so impressed with the care they took moving a piece of this weight. Every piece was wrapped and they managed the disassembly/assembly of the table top and table base with ease. I still can't believe only two guys were able to move this table. It's super easy to communicate with Schlep - their website is great and payment/estimate are very easy. Plus, they keep their employees! Sam asked me to look back and see who moved my furniture last time I used Schlep (last summer) and he said that both guys were still with the company. I needed to schedule a smaller furniture pick up/delivery for a couple of pieces and heard how reliable schlep was, so I was interested in booking. I called ahead of time to determine what their insurance policy was because I was moving mirrored dressers and was concerned about them cracking in transit. One of them did crack slightly in the corner upon delivery, but WOW, I am so impressed with how schlep handled the situation. They called multiple repair shops, found one that would cut beveled glass and had it delivered back to me. Yeah, the turn around on the repair took a little time, but they were so attentive with communication and obviously cared that I wanted the piece fixed instead of a refund for my schlep. My Schlepers were super professional, and arrived earlier than I expected, which definitely wasn't a bad thing. Apparently the section on their online form about coffee is for real, they will bring you coffee the way you like it (if you bother to fill that in). I was definitely nervous about using this service at first because I needed both a futon and a bed moved, but the two Schlepers who worked with me today managed it way better than I would have.
