Today I chose the chicken avocado cobb .As Nicolas Cage use to say as Tiny E on SNL, " man that thing is huge"! It was delicious and fresh. The service was friendly and swift. Sure, you pay a little more her compared to other sub chains but its ok to pony up once in a while when its this fresh! Terrible experience. Went to the website to place a group order and got a confirmation that everything was fine for delivery the next day at noon for a big meeting. Next day 30 minutes before the meeting I get an email notification that the order was cancelled. I visited today 5/13/24 after driving home to Gwinnett from work in Atlanta. I placed my order after a couple @ approximately 6:10 pm. At 6:41pm, I still didn't have my order. However, the couple in front of me had received their food, ate on the premises and were walking out the door. At that time I noticed that two other customers who ordered after I did had received their food and were eating too. When I inquired, the cashier shrugged her shoulders and said sorry without offering a genuine apology or explanation. She attempted to dismiss me by walking away, but I got her attention and told her how long I'd been waiting. She pointed to the back and said "he" was preparing my order. 2 mins later, I received my order and left. Upon arriving home, and with my first bite, the bread was tough and I had to literally pull the bottom bun apart by grinding my teeth while pulling the sandwich away with my hands. I was so hungry I deconstructed the sandwich to eat just the meat and vegetables, but the meat was overcooked and tough too. Upon walking through the door, I knew Schlotzsky's had new ownership as none of the regular employees were working. Still, I stayed and placed an order. The food didn't taste the same and the bread was definitely NOT fresh! I'll never return to this restaurant and will drive all the way to Cobb County before I spend another penny at this location. read more

If I could give this place zero stars I would. I placed a carryout order and I waited over 40 mins for my food. 3 people behind me had a 30 min wait as well. I asked the guy for a refund because the food was taking too long but apparently there was no manager on shift and wrote "add discount" on the back of my receipt. I proceeded to wait 15 more minutes until my food came out. I ordered a double cheese pepperoni pizza & a Mac and cheese. The pizza was cold and the Mac and cheese was dry and disgusting. Had a late lunch there and rush was over. It had been a while sine I had eaten there and sandwiches was as good as I remembered. The menu has expanded but I stayed with the standard Smoked Turkey sandwich, chips and a drink. Place was clean as was the Ladies Room. Easy access to drinks and napkins. This used to be one of my favorite places to stop for dinner when I lived in the area. I have attempted to eat here multiple times in the past year but they are always closed when I arrive in the evening. On my last attempt, I looked up the closing time before driving to the location, which showed 8 pm on both the Schlotzsky's website and Google maps. Arrived at 6:45 and the employees were walking out and locking the door. Hand written sign on the door said they close at 7 pm. Obviously, they closed long before that if they already had time to clean and leave by then. Guess it's time to give up on this location. read more

What can I say? I love Schlotzsky's. I've been a fan of the sourdough bread original for a long time. It's just good to me, and when I have the craving for it; nothing else will do. That bread. They sell a number of sandwiches, pizzas, flatbreads, salads, and soups. Everything that I've tried has been above average in taste. This location is in the Publix shopping center, but tucked off in the far corner (close to Club Drive). It's pretty slow when I go during weekday evenings, but buzzing if I go during lunch on a weekday or on a Saturday. The atmosphere does not inspire me to want to eat in. It lacks some warmth of some kind that I require. I went on a Saturday about a month ago and they were having a customer appreciation special where if I paid $30, I would get a free small sandwich each week for a year, plus a one time box of Cinnabons. It was for that day only. I jumped all over that one. So I now get a coupon in the app for my free sandwich each week. Win! If you download the app, you can earn towards a free sandwich by scanning your receipts. I mentioned Cinnabon. They sell them here. I must say, however, that they are different from what I get at the Cinnabon store. I don't know how, but I'll just get mine from the Cinnabon store. I have seen this store sell out of them, though. The employees are all nice enough. I wish there were more Schlotzsky's around town. read more

I received the following Cinnabon within 20 mins of ordering online. I called the store and asked how long these were sitting out and one of the workers answered it was out for 2 hrs. I said "well I'm coming up there to get a fresh one, this is unacceptable" only to be told "I can't do that...we don't make them fresh unless we run out" I overlooked the fact that they got part of my order wrong to begin with but this is really unacceptable. I came here for late lunch. It's located in the same plaza as Publix. I always drive by it and it always seems dead despite hearing their sandwiches are awesome. I went in and sure enough it was dead. There was maybe one or two other customers. Their menu has good variety from salad to pasta to sandwiches. They also carry Cinnabon. I ordered the angus pastrami and swiss sandwich on rye bread. I paid then took a seat. Within seconds my food came out- that was fast! The sandwich was delicious. Every bit of it was done well. I enjoyed it and will return to try other stuff. It should be busy for the quality and its yumminess! read more

It's hard to find a good schlotzkys anymore. I don't know if they've changed the corporate bread recipe, but it never tastes the same as it did back in the 90s. The best Schlotzkys were the Roswell and Peachtree Corners locations. This location is adequate, but the sandwiches just aren't as delicious as they used to be. read more

My daughter and I are frequent diners, but today was very disappointing. As you can see in the photo, the beef and cheese sandwich that we received was extremely skimpy and does not look anything like the menu photo. We discussed the issue with the staff and they agreed that it didn't look like normal or like the one in the menu photo, but they did not offer to make a quality sandwich to replace it. I usually come here for the soup and a sandwich. Its always meh. I do like the fresh rye bread. A quick bite, tepid soup, tepid service. Thought I'd try a Mac. Unfortunately it wasn't what I expected. But the brisket was good. The Mac and cheese was more like noodles just mixed with shredded cheese maybe. Stringy hot cheese. But not creamy at all. Uh, not sure about the rest of these reviews, but I will not be coming back. First if all it is cold and raining outside and the place is like an icebox. I mean I'm all for cost savings if it means your putting it into the product, but... No. The rye bread had the consistency of a cheap hamburger bun, the pickle had to be the lamest pickle I've ever seen served. Maybe it's just this Jew from jersey, but when I see the name schloltzsky's my head goes to a delicious pastrami or corned beef sandwich piled high on top of some real, substantial, rye with a crisp mustard. Got ripped off French dip sandwich on a small pretzel bun for $7.99 a dollar more then there med size sandwich at $5.99 to $6.99.

I haven't been in a Schlotzky's since I narrowly escaped being killed at one in Norcross in 1996, but that's a story for another time. Anyway, I saw this Schlotzky's as I was driving around and figured what the hell - I'll give it a try for nostalgia. Now, I used to LOVE Schlotzky's and was fully prepared to feast upon a Angus beef and cheddar sandwich. I ordered and I was happy to see that the sourdough bread was still the same. But, the sandwich was pretty much flavorless. I mean, nothing. I kept taking bites expecting to experience a flavor of some kind, but it was just like eating a toasted sponge. Nothing. Oddly devoid of flavor. I can't even say "bad flavor", because there was literally no flavor. Just disappointing, really. Oh well. At least I tried. There were plenty of people eating here, so obviously somebody is enjoying it, but not me. I'll check back in another 20 years or so. read more

This place has never let me down. When I am working from home and I am just in the mood for a robust and filling sandwich, this is where I come. I enjoy this place over other sandwich shops. I think this is one of my favorites. They have a huge variety and I am always full and satisfied. I love how close it is to my house, but I wish that it was in a better location within the plaza, because I don't think this store gets enough customers as it would if it was located elsewhere.
