I have to agree with many of the other reviewers. The bagel sandwiches were good, but I'm from the northeast so we have the best bagels. The coffee was burnt. The issue with this place is truly the poor customer service. I assume it's the owners and they are just not pleasant. I base writing a review on the following 3 points. Food, Service, and experience. The food. was. flawless. I guarantee from growing up in NY where bagels are a religion, that if a bagel is truly fresh and truly made correctly, you better get those suckers in the morning. A day old properly made bagel is horrible and an afternoon properly made bagel is not great either. We ate at 9;45 a.m. and the bagels were dwindling. This is a sign of a perfectly made bagel and so it was. Not only were they delicious the lady behind the counter had an answer to my favorite question "what do YOU suggest? That shows confidence and I LOVED what she got me." The Service was above and beyond, making sure I had the correct amount of cream, putting extra whip on the girls' frou frou coffee drinks; then at the end, she noticed us talking about how great the lox bagel sandwich sounded. Out walks this kind smile and a white to go bag of the very bagel we were discussing, with her saying "I heard you talking about it, so here it is" The experience was desirable in every way. The outside seating, the respect of the pandemic, the knowledge of their food, the giving nature of the staff. The oddities and particularities that make the outside decorating so cool! the fact that it wasn't on the main drag made for a very intimate experience while being within walking distance to everything. Walked in thinking "oh just another bagel place" I'm here to tell you I've never been more incorrect in my entire existence. The Cinnamon Raisin bagel made me realize all the bad things I've done in my many years on this planet and it let me know it's not to late to turn it all around. Breakfast sandwiches are great. Have vegetarian and healthier options. Iced coffee is amazing, I could drink 10 of em. Location: 4/5 parking is terrible, but it is in historic downtown so it's a great place to stop for a quick bite while exploring once you do find a spot to park.
