Everyone at Joint Bagel is always eager to help. The woman taking my order was efficient, and then I checked out at the register. My bagel sandwich came out quickly. If you're from NY, these bagels aren't going to cut it. They have more of an English muffin texture rather than the chewy, pillowy NY bagel experience. The poopy seed bagel was covered with poppy seeds, very generous. The cinnamon raisin bagel could.have used more raisins. I can see them being good for sandwiches if you're more about spreads and fillings, although there aren't a lot of spreads or fillings to choose from. Still looking for a good bagel. read more

Best bagel in all of north Florida it is a weekend stop almost every week for our family

After the disappearance of the original Schmagels many years ago, finding a good bagel in JAX was literally impossible. My background is Northe East so I was used to bagels from good delis in NYC and Philly and those did NOT exist. Sure there were large buns with cheese or seed toppings and a hole, but they were round rolls, not bagels. Then I heard repeated good things about Joint Bagels. I'll admit I was skeptical, people rave about things that turn out to be terrible, but I was desperate for a good bagel and tired of ordering from NYC and paying a fortune for bagels that arrived already a few days old. From the minute I walked into the Joint I knew I had hit gold. The smells, the noises, the accents all screamed New York (or at least Northeast) deli. The bagel was fresh and chewy and had that unmistakable bagel "je ne sais quoi". The smears were also pure deli standards and the coffee was great. On top of that the service is superb and the ambiance, though obviously not as hectic, is very "E. Houston". I'm afraid I disagree with the people who say these are not comparable to NYC bagels, I feel they are or may perhaps be better (that said, remember that the NY bagels I've been getting arrived 4 days old so...) Another big plus are the prices! There have been other "bagel" places "pop up" (some ar chains) but they want from two to almost three times the price per bagel (I can order from NYC for less) and you have to get them with spreads, no just buying a dozen (and a baker's dozen at that) to go. Its a trip down US 1 to the Joint, but one I will happily continue to make. Please don't change, unless you decide to install all old wood, scent the place with the smell of pastrami and garlic, and add Dr. Brown's Cel-Ray soda to the menu. Very friendly staff!! I got a pumpernickel bagel with strawberry cream cheese- i'm from NY and determined to find comparable bagels down south and would not say these quite compare. Still very good for a southern bagel! Got an iced coffee too which for a plain iced coffee was also pretty good- no flavors or anything fancy but good quality for sure! Just moved to the area and very happy to find Joint Bagel Co. Bagels are delicious and great cream cheese compliment. At first wasn't sure about online ordering and drive through but luv it. Makes it easy to get a delicious bagel when I've got the dogs with me. We've tried at least 6 bagel varieties and all have been great. The NY style of bagel I grew up with from an authentic made shop in Indiana. Subsequently living in NY area down the road and validated taste. We've had good luck freezing some take home bagels too! Been coming here lately before work. Bummed they are closed Mondays, but other than that it's delicious. Service is great! I love the drive-thru window. I'm sorry for having to write a bad review, because the bagels were awesome. However... I ordered a bagel with nova and cc. I wanted lettuce, onion, tomato, and capers on it. The kid behind the counter informed me that the "add ons" would cost an additional $.75 for each one. I offered the feedback -- because this is a local business and not a chain -- that in 60 years visiting bagel shops from NYC to Miami, I had never heard of charging like that. I will never forget the kid's audacious attitude and response, "well we can't just give it away, can we?" I drive by this bagel shop every week on my way to Orlando to volunteer. I have thought about stopping here a few times but never did. Then, I started seeing a lot of positive reviews for it on social media and Yelp. Today, I decided to give it a try. I am so glad I finally did. I arrived about fifteen minutes after they opened. The drive-through already had a line of cars so I opted to go inside. The space is bright and welcoming, with about eight booths to sit in and dine. They offer fifteen different bagels and about the same number of spreads. They also have about ten different breakfast sandwiches. I ordered my favorite bagel, the everything bagel, with chive cream cheese. It was delicious. Service was welcoming and quick. Stopped on our way out of town. I called in an order for an everything bagel toasted with cream cheese. It was ready quickly. I was able to go through the drive through to pick it upo. I loved the bagel texture and that the everything seasoning was on both sides equally! Most places only put it on the top. The cream cheese was light and creamy. A friend and I stopped in this morning to grab bagels for our boat trip. I purchased one veggie and one plain cream cheese, and my friend purchased six bagels. We got in line and waited about five minutes. Several folks called in orders for pick up. We ordered at one register and paid at another. We asked to have the bagels sliced. They were ready in no time. I don't eat bagels much because I find them too chewy or hard. I was pleasantly surprised when I bit into an asiago cheese bagel with veggie cream cheese. It was so good! I planned to only eat half, but I ended up eating another half of a jalapeno bagel. I would eat here again and again if it were a little closer to my house. We tried this place on a Sunday morning at about 9am. There was a long line that moved fast. Gave our order to a worker who was VERY fast and accurate. Ordered a BEC everything bagel sandwich and an egg bagel with butter. By the time we got to the register our order was ready. Seating was scarce, but we did find a tiny table to eat at. Sandwich was an 8 out of 10 and the bagel with butter about the same. Bagels are not huge but tasted good. My husband did NOT like the coffee. Said it was too strong. We love Joint Bagel. The bagels are authentic with a good chewy texture. They're very comparable to NY bagels (former NYer here). Sesame and pumpernickel are our favorites. Their specialty cream cheese is good also. They don't scrimp on ingredients so they're very flavorful. I also like their egg salad. It's always fresh with a good balance of mayonnaise. My fiancé also enjoys their pistachio muffins. The service is excellent as well. They're always pleasant and friendly. Give Joint Bagel a try. I think you'll love it, too! read more

I drove 9 minutes and 35 seconds out of my way to hit this bagel joint. It was worth the effort. If you always think about the destination, then you only enjoy a few seconds of your experience (or minutes if you're unique). Enjoy the journey and make it last longer. Anyway... I ordered a toasted poppy with butter and a plain bagel with butter (not toasted). I think I ordered it three times (two different people). The dude who ended up making the bagels said, "Just butter? No cream cheese?" This happens alllllllll the time. Same thing with cheese on burgers when I don't want cheese. Since he asked and the staff was cool, I told them how some people on my Tyler Nals social media accounts get mad that I like butter instead of cream cheese. So, if any of those people happen to be reading this review, please take a look at the toasted poppy picture and blow it up. In case you still can't make it out, it's butter, mfer! Day 3 and third bagel place tried in St Augustine. Finally, our faith in a good bagel in the area has been restored. Our group of 4 tried asiago, blueberry, and plain bagels. We all liked what we received! Score! The previous 3 days we have tried 3 other places and they all were garbage. We will return to Joint to try other bagels and spreads. We have had a fee better bagels in other areas, but these by far have been the best! Also, the staff was excellent and the price was very fair! Highly recommend!
