Hunterschnitzle on the left. Cream Schnitzel on the right.

Small place attached to a fueling station. But! Evidently, these are common in Germany and have some of the best food. It's clean and the Host and Chef are very nice and friendly. We got the Cream Schnitzel and Spatzle (egg noodles). The two others in our party got the Hunterschnitzel with Spatzle. We all enjoyed the food. The schnitzel had crispy breading and was bigger than the plate! Perfectly cooked. The gravy was flavorful. Maybe next time I'll ask for extra. The Spatzle was fresh and a wonderful accompaniment to the meal. We had some bottled beer to go with. Check out their menu. If you're into sausage, they've got it! All the food was freshly made.

Great spot for authentic German cuisine! Located in a small space beside the BP gas station (two booths and six 2-seat tables) their menu is limited. Oh, but do they deliver in their menu items! You can also order to go orders online and they'll have it ready when you specify your pickup time. We ordered bratwurst and a side of potato salad which was delicious! The bratwurst was a savory flavor bomb and the German style potato salad had bacon and a light vinaigrette. Also tried the Schnitzel with Roll that was a crunchy delight on a wonderful Kaiser roll. Finished with German Mac and Cheese which had an addictively light, ooey gooey cheese pull topped with caramelized onions. I can't wait to return to try some of their schnitzel with different sauces. The place is clean and the family that owns and runs it are friendly and helpful. It's neat listening to them converse in German in the kitchen. Highly recommend!

Average food in a gas station. I found the schnitzel to be just average,a bit bland. Came with a handful of French fries? Not vet authentic getting fries with it. A bit pricey for the portion size. Sorry, I'm originally from Chicago. We had much better German food available. This did not stack up for me.

Came back so my kids could try it and they loved it too! The bratwurst is homemade and so so good - next time I think we are going to do the platter. Such a nice place, the owners are super friendly and the food is chefs kiss

We have just discovered Schnitzel Time on palm harbor dr. In Palm coast. It's a cozy little place with two booths and a couple tables. There are places to sit outside too. The menu is great. Schnitzel and bratwurst with several different sauces available. Our favorite was the pepper / paprika sauce. There are also traditional German sides. We enjoyed the sampler platter for 39.88. Two nice thin crispy schnitzel's and two nice plump bratwurst served with three sides, and three sauces. We chose potato salad, spetzle and cucumber salad. Everything was great. The schnitzel was delicious with lemon alone but also was great with any of the different sauces available. The bratwurst are large plump sausage w a very crispy skin. Great with the spicy mustard or sauce, outstanding. Everything is made in house except the French fries. They offer kids hotdog or schnitzel meals for the little one. They offer soft drink and German beer and wine. Wonderful experience great service

Was so excited to try this place today and it did not disappoint! Is it next to a BP gas station? Yes, but don't let that fool you. Excellent and authentic German food and outstanding friendly service! The menu is focused on various types of schnitzel and bratwurst. Our table had Jägerschnitzel and Spätzle, Gurkensalat (cucumber salad), and Bratwurst (made in-house) and Spätzle. They offer several German beers as well. The owner and his wife are from Ludwigshafen, Germany near where my grandparents lived and my mother grew up and that Bratwurst tasted like home and was the best I've had in the USA. Everything was delicious and I can't wait to go back and try other menu items.

This was his first night and was equally as good as the primary server, except he had to get help on a few questions we had that related to how to use certain sauces etc. And he got the help very quickly. We started with the pork belly. Fried crispy on the outside and still tender on the inside. It was served with what looked like marinara, but it had an amazing spice mixture in it. Spices as in seasoning, not heat. The best pork belly I have ever had, I could eat just this, and if I were alone it would be enough. We had a cup of hunters soup and polish mushroom soup. Both were very good. I would skip those next time to save room for other things, but only because I would rather eat other things. There were enough tables to seat quite a few people without overcrowding anyone. As a main course we decided to split the polish sampler. 2 potato pancakes, 2 cabbage rolls, 8 perogies and a polish sausage. We didn't know how big the sausage would be so we ordered a side, we did not need it. There was so much food, we did not finish it all and my wife had some for lunch the next day, and still there was leftovers. The place is hidden in a 3 story shopping center, but well worth looking for.

Next, we had chicken schnitzel and jaeger schnitzel covered in mushroom gravy with spaetzle and sauerkraut or red cabbage served warm with a hint of cinnamon. Portion sizes were good to excellent. Service was SLOW. Our table was the first seated just before 6 pm. First out was a slice of banana bread cut into four strips followed by a basket of delicious and slightly sweet bread. Over the two hour meal, there were only 3 tables of diners in the restaurant, 4 staff including the twins and chef, yet things took a very long time to come out to the table. Service was very slow by American standards so be prepared for that. We overheard another table asking about substituting and the server always had to go ask - it doesn't seem that substitutions are encouraged or welcome. Sides are set by the chef and you can choose your soup du jour or salad (side or cucumber). Buyer beware that soda refills DO cost 99 cents ‍

The place had some outdoor seating, but at 52 degrees outside, we needed to sit at one of the 5 indoor tables. Victoria, our server showed us the limited menu for the night. No pricing was evident, but we chatted about a few items. She related the side items that came with various entries and we ordered. Another couple came in and sat near us. They appeared to be regulars since they asked about the two for one drink special that was part of their prior attendance and Victoria said it was still available. Well, we then jumped on that, since she did not tell us about it. I ordered Jaeger Schnitzel with red cabbage and mashed potatoes. My wife had the bourbon chicken with rice. Photos show what we had. The food was ok, the chicken dish had a kind of curry flavor, and ample chicken pieces, but no vegetables, just a dinner roll. My dinner had limited mushroom gravy on the breaded pork cutlet and on the mashed potatoes. When the bill was presented, I noticed an extra $1.00 charge for the red cabbage. And the entry was priced $2.00 more than the website price was on their site. My fault for not asking. Supply shortages cause changes, but it would have been beneficial to ask the prices. The service was prompt, food good, but not exceptional and the place has potential. Just needs more customers to get the kinks out.

Have you ever wondered what German pastry heaven would look like?…read moreWell, look no further, Yalaha Bakery is what you've been dreaming of! My husband and I have been searching for a German bakery since we both have a sweet tooth for baked goodies. He's been telling me about how legendary German goulash tastes since before we got married (it's been a few years now ) and the Yalaha Bakery menu mentioned seasonal soup including goulash so of course we had to stop here. We visited on a rainy Wednesday afternoon around 4:45 pm. This place has modest architecture and a small parking lot, but don't let that fool you since as soon as you open the door, there are 4 glorious levels of tasty treats under a refrigerated glass display and fresh bread in shelves behind the counter. There were about 4 customers in the shop and a few others that came in while we were ordering. Everything looked so delectable, so it was hard to choose from the huge variety! Our bakery order ended up being quite large, so I'm glad my husband brought the cooler with him. We got 1 rhubarb pie (for a gift), 1 rhubarb streusel (another gift), 1 apple streusel, 1 German apple pie, 1 tiramisu, 2 lavender shortbread cookies, 1 eclair, 1 cream horn, 1 Brazilian caramel bar, 4 pretzel rolls, and 4 large pretzels. There might be a few other things as well. The order was about $125 with tip. Excellent customer service by the counter girl, and she was very patient while we were deciding on things. After we packed our pastries in the cooler, we went back to check out the deli section. They had a lot of German deli items to choose from, but what I was really interested in was the goulash. The very kind counter lady (possibly the owner?) took my order, and I couldn't have asked for a heartier, soul-warming soup for about $6. The meat was cooked to soft perfection. The veggies (peppers, tomato, and potato if I recall correctly) melted away while you sipped the soup that tasted like it was made by your favorite extra-skilled German grandma. I was in stew heaven. Of course, I shared a few spoonfuls with my husband, and it was gone in a few minutes. All in all, we discovered that Yalaha Bakery is a hidden gem in Yalaha, FL. If you love bakeries and handmade treats like we do, this is a great place to visit. Prepare your bank account to splurge on pastries, artisan German bread, and remember to stop by the deli! We'll be back again next time we're in the area on one of our road trips.
