I have found those products to be very low quality, often breaking after only a season or two of normal use. Neither the shop nor ACE offer any warranty, referring the buyer instead to the manufacturer's warranty. On occasions when I've made a warranty claim, the manufacturers have simply ignored those claims.

It's not tiny, but it's not huge. Lots of options for each thing we needed. Bright and open, nicely arranged, tons of things you need- and don't, plenty of impulse buy stuff set around, so watch yourself. Prices for those, and in general, are maybe a little high, but the location will be handy for many people and you can avoid the hassle and gas use of going to a big box. This isn't just an old-school local store- it's better.

The store was busy. All the workers were busy. But they all made sure to greet every customer & follow up with offers of help. The building's above 100 years old. It reminded me, while I was waiting, of the small town hardware shops my grandpa & I would hit when we needed supplies between roofing jobs. That was a great memory for me. Those background places in the past gather importance when folks are gone. Small shops navigate the big box waves through specialized products & good customer service. This is a true (translate that as "old school") hardware store. This is a store where the staff "knows hardware" and is very knowledgeable. They are very helpful and know where everything is - unlike the big box stores. I would highly recommend this store to anyone with hardware needs.

This was my first visit fo Schreiner's Ace Hardware and it is a REAL HARDWARE store. Reminds me of a good old-fashioned hardware store. They said that if you need a hard to find plumbing item that is where you go in town. We made our way over to the Ace on High Street. For their plumbing section we were directed to the back of the store. We were immediately greeted by an Ace employee that began to help us. He searched not only their in stock products, but he got a huge catalog out. I could tell that he knew his stuff. He even called in his plumbing mentor to see if between the both of them, if they could find our unique bathroom faucet cartridge. Ultimately we were unsuccessful, but now we know in the future where to go if we need help with anything plumbing related. Both the employees were amazing and I know they will be a great resource for us in the future with all our water leak needs!

Winter is coming. But nowhere else seems to have it yet. Anyway, they have a ton. Come down here if you need it (winter 2024.) Every employee was helpful and friendly. They have the usual small hardware store selection of other things. I looked at a couple of things I might need eventually. Prices are a little higher than they will be at big box stores, but they actually had what I needed and helped me get it. This is off my beaten path, but handy today, and I will keep it in mind next time I have a project.

My old Peachtree patio screen door needed new rollers. None in stock would work. Bruce researched…read moreinformation on a parts supplier (PWD Service in Pittsburgh) and contacted me. He removed my old rollers so that I could sent them in, re-screened the door at a reasonable price, and put the new rollers on when they arrived.
