We are now fishing happily on our boat instead of it being dead in the water for 2-3 months! Thank you EZ Marine for your help! Oh and Missy and the rest of the staff who help schedule storage and sell boating items (think of a small West Marine, but you don't have to drive to Albany!) are super as well. Very friendly service from the dock workers who clearly know what they're doing. On the plus side, it's a straight line to back your boat into the water. That definitely would make it easy for someone like me who has no dang clue at reversing with a trailer. On the minus side, it's a heck of a steep hill to get your boat onto the trailer and out of the marina. You're going to need all the possible torque to be successful at driving up the hill. At the top, there was a shady spot that made it easy to get all the day's rubbish and coolers out of the boat so it was ready to transport back to the parking. It would have been nice if they had a dumpster or a trash can up there but they don't. We brought the trash with us instead. Fuel's not cheap, so fill up before you get here. As an example he noticed my brand new trailer was not set up correctly for my boat ("set up" by another dealer) and for very little money pulled my boat, adjusted everything, replaced a cracked roller and lubed the hubs. I have had this engine serviced by others (boat was out of town) and it ran noticeably worse than when Tom did the service. Definitely two thumbs up!

We stayed at the High Peaks resort right next door, and their boats weren't out for the season yet - Mirror Lake Boat Rental to the rescue! NOTE: if you are planning to go soon (this review is being written on 4/27/21) this boat rental shop will be VERY DIFFICULT to find. You need to look for the sign I have in my photos that tells you to text the number provided, then follow the dirt path behind the construction to the little desk that will give you instructions. This shop technically does have open hours, but we had to text the owner Greg upon arrival and then waited for him to come down and rent us a boat. In the future, I would recommend just texting before heading down there and meeting him when he's already there. Check out their website for full details of cost and times and such. $30/hour for most of your standard boats, including the fun bikes! We opted for a paddle boat so we could save money and be out on the water together. The hour flew by even though it was a little chilly when the wind blew. Cash only, which is inconvenient but understandable considering this biz is fully outside, and there's an ATM at the resort across the street if you need it. This is a great way to see Mirror Lake from a new vantage point and is TONS of fun. Happy boating!

I was getting close to my 100 hour service and was advised that if I could wait until I was ready to winterize to do so because there is some duplication of service and if I waited, I would save money. I had a PWC breakdown this year on the lake in the middle of the week. I called Pluchinos because I saw them at a launch earlier. They came right to my location and towed me to a launch. They did so with the knowledge the pwc can only be towed a low speed or they take on water. Every interaction with Pluchinos and their staff has been positive.
