Made an appt with Beau to remove yellow from my gray hair, making it all grey. He said he could do that! Told me all about his great products! Also promised to give me a shag haircut. I was very excited!! Well, $500 and 3 hours later, I left with the same yellow in my hair (with some blue!) and a short bob instead of a shag! When he saw that my hair wasn't right, he asked his coworker and she said that he used the wrong product on me! Instead of fixing my hair then and there, he told me that he'll do it correctly the next time!! He even accepted an $80 TIP knowing he didn't do what I wanted. Buyer beware!!!! read more

It turned out so pretty! She's also great for neurodivergent clients, and helped me find accommodations to make sitting in the chair for a long time comfortable for me, and even offered me stim toys! read more

Gabby carefully studied my hair and discussed in detail what needed to be done. There were several corrections that needed to be made to my cut. I went in for medium to long layers. I had been in a rush for a concert the other day, and they were so quick to help even though they had appointments booked for an hour after I needed my hair done. I parked my car in the lot next to the building of Scissor Sisters. I went into the salon and was in there for three minutes. In that time, my car was booted. The parking attendant for the Michi Ramen parking lot sits at the back of the lot in his car, hiding, and when he sees a customer take one step onto the sidewalk of Scissor Sisters, he runs over and puts a boot on the car. The sign saying the lot is not for Scissor Sisters was intentionally placed low, so it is under your hood, and you can't see it when you park. While I was in the parking lot trying to figure out how to pay $100 to get the boot off, another woman parked next to me, took one step onto the sidewalk, and he booted her too. To make matters worse, the attendant was mocking us, telling us to f*** off, and said he was making a lot of money today. The person at the front desk was warning people not to park there, but that is not enough. If you have walked to the front door of Scissor Sisters, you get booted. The person at the front desk said he told the owner his customers were getting booted, and he said there was nothing he could do. I think there is a whole hell more he could be doing. Maybe put a big Visible sign on his property warning his customers that there is a predatory parking attendant in the lot? Don't go to this salon! read more

i went in for the first time to this salon hoping for an affirming experience from some colorful people. i can tell you i was not disappointed. i am an autistic queer adult who's only ever had frustrating experiences at salons/barbers, not only were they all so friendly and helpful but my experience with the stylist Colby (like the cheese ;) ) was one of the most delightful experiences i've ever had sitting in the chair. They explained the whole process step by step and was super eager to talk me through their choices and helped me feel validated and excited to get my head worked on. i had requested the "transformational cut" knowing i have curlier hair and needed a little more time explaining myself. they went above and beyond with some of my unique styling requests. the washing basins are super comfortable if you're prone to neck and back issues and the supplies they use are fragrant but pleasant easier on the nose smells. they seem to specialize well in playful hairstyles and colors and excel with service, reasonable prices, and friendly stylists. thank you colby for the amazing experience and listening to my needs closer than anyone has before. and thank you to the salon for hosting such a beautiful environment in such unsure times. i will be seeking this place out again for my next haircut. read more

I will say that if you have a lot of hair like me, your service will most likely take a long time. One of the best experiences at a hair salon I have ever had. Taryn was amazing and I would reccomend her to anyone and everyone. I am not one to trust anyone with my hair, and its been a really long time since I have given anyone the chance to cut and color it. Taryn is a wonderful person who has an amazing talent. She will take her time and get in her artistic zone when she is doing your hair and its amazing. All of the staff is really sweet and it feels like such a safe and comfortable environment. I have coarse, wavy hair that is really thick and I struggle finding a hairstyle that will look good on me and one that is resonably functional. Taryn absolutely knocked it out of the park and took so much weight out of my hair and did exactly what i wanted. She also touched up my color with toners and mixed the perfect color. My hair feels light and bouncy for the first time ever. The products they used were also amazing. Not to mention for all this love and attention to detail I felt like I was being pranked when I was told the price, it was so affordable. I would pay Taryn anything!! I am absolutely so excited to have found this salon and Taryn. She is new to the shop and has so much artistic ability its easy to fall in love with her quickly. I am so excited to come back here and will be returning. I love the people, the shop and the atmosphere. I brought my 17 year old here to get a transformational cut and but they decided on just a trim.....it's one of the worst haircuts we have ever seen. I came in for a haircut from Jualdo. AmazingAfter a brief consultation with a couple of photos his sorcery manifested the perfect haircut. Very clean and staff and clients all wearing masks. There are even clear partitions between stylists chairs. Jualdo explained he is there late afternoons to evenings and it's perfect for my schedule. The salon is incorporated inside a vintage shop with some amazing finds. read more

Wow, Mirada was a fantastic stylist and I absolutely love my haircut! I was very happy that she was 100% mask-on during these covid19 pandemic times, and it was great to see her sanitize her station and my chair before she escorted me over. Miranda was professional, knowledgeable, and explained her methods and haircut ideas to me. She was very personable, friendly, and I really loved chatting with her! I also enjoyed the shampoo station - it was significantly more comfortable than any others I've experienced because I didn't have to strain my neck during the shampoo. as a queer person i really wanted to be able to support this place and give it a good review, but i feel the need to warn others about my experience. although the environment and people were very welcoming, i received by far the worst haircut i've ever had in my entire life. i showed my barber multiple pictures for reference of people with the same hair texture as me and wasn't able to see what they were doing as they cut my hair (there are no mirrors for some reason?) and now i cant leave the house without a hat. i've thought about just shaving it all off, it's that bad. it's so hard to receive good gender affirming haircuts in texas so i really wanted this place to work out :( so sad to leave a poor review. read more

It was a great experience. Hannah was meticulous and patient with me and my haircut, working not just to make sure that the haircut looked good but that the haircut looked good on ME (and it does!). The experience is fun too--you're up on a stage looking out into the shop where all kinds of interesting people are coming and going. One other stylist was working and there was such a nice vibe between Hannah and the other stylist as well as easy conversation going on all around me.
