Educated me on how to style my hair and we came up with a plan for future sessions. I called in advance to ask about wait time and was immediately attended to when I walked in. The average market price for men's hair cut is around $35 in SGV so at $40, Scissors is little bit higher. Found this place on yelp and gave it a try. I called ahead for an appointment two days ahead of time. Came in a few minutes early and was welcomed immediately. The service was great and Shannon took great care of me. I am not very picky and told her I wanted layers and not too short. My hair came out great! This place is wonderful, clean, and very skilled. I was trying to get a list minute hair cut at a location that would be open late, and I found this place on Yelp. The reviews look good so I wanted to try it out. Sharon was my hair stylist and she was wonderful! She even waited for me when I told her I was running late due to traffic. It was Chinese New Year eve and she agreed to stay later than her peers to cut my hair for me last minute. The Hair cut was wonderful, she was very caring and listened to my suggestions. She will only cut the hair the way you say and not try anything crazy on her own (unless you let her). She gets 10 stars in my book but Yelp limits my review to 5. She is a perfectionist when it comes to hair, so you know your hair is in good hands. She is very friendly, and will listen to what you want, and will also tell you if she thinks a hairstyle may not work with your hair type. In the process of getting my hair dyed, she had other customers come in for haircuts and from what I saw she is equally talented at cutting men's and boy's hair! Tip: Bring cash! My second time here and I got my haircut done by May! She's super nice and always takes the time to listen to what you really want. I told her that while my hair is thin, there's a lot of it and it can get really hot from the sheer volume. So she suggested I get the layered V cut rather than the layered straight line in the back. I went along with her suggestion and my hair feels super light now while not losing volume and it's perfect for the summer time! Color: I've always wanted to dye my hair purple but not have it be really conspicuous. May suggested to get some highlights in the layers underneath my top layer so the color just flashes sometimes. I'm really glad I went with it! And I've had my color dyed before without being bleached first but here, May took the time to bleach my hair twice to get it right before colouring it. Really love it! Ask for Sharon!!! I had an appointment at 3pm, but Sharon is still doing a haircut for the previous customer. So she didn't get start with mine until 3:20pm. She turned my long hair to a nice and clean looking short hair. It takes her more than one hour to do my haircut. She charges $45 for woman's haircut. Her price is reasonable and she does a great job on it. I have been to another salon in Rowland Heights where they charge $55 for woman's haircut and they didn't do better job than Sharon. read more

decided to try this place out as i saw it had good reviews. my hair was really long (and dead from previous dye job) but i love my long hair so i wanted to cut about 2 inches but he ended up cutting off all the dead parts off. i was kinda sad about it bc it took me a while to grow out my hair just for it to be cut off like that. he even asked me how short i wanted it and i pointed and he said okay. i get it was dead, but even then i feel like they should've respected how long i wanted to keep it. Well went in for a shorter Bob and the barber I got Mr Wong whom, cut my hair strand by strand. It took him 100 minutes to cut my Bob 3 inches shorter. He did not speak at all throughout my haircut. I finally found my forever hairstylist in SGV (May!).  I moved to SGV 5 years ago. In the past, I visited big name salons in Los Angeles and paid $$$. I needed a haircut badly, and stumbled upon this salon. I didn't ask for a specific stylist, but was placed with May. I'm so happy to have found May! She listened and knew that I wanted something low maintenance during COVID (medium length, less layers, and natural solid color). Even though I just wanted a solid dye job, she still spent a significant amount of time and detail coloring my hair in separate phases to ensure an even color from top to bottom.
